Our server was rude, and not helpful. We ordered two of each appetizer and there was a sampler platter at a fraction of the cost. We felt he was annoyed to be serving us.

The food was very good. The waiter very helpful and patient since we were talking a lot and took forever to order. I think it was a little pricey for what you not and the menu was more limited than I remember. We are outside and loved that we were in almost our own booth surrounded on three sides by a wall. A little too close to the street. Otherwise very nice.

We came for Happy Hour and ordered the platter which had a bit of everything and was not disappointed. Food was amazing! We ordered some pad thai and mushroom dumplings. Phenomenal flavor and I wanted to order more but we were stuffed. They were even accommodating to my unfortunate heat intolerance which I hate to have restaurants do but I really wanted to see if they could. They did and it was still delicious. I'm sure it's more delicious with that bit of spice that they add but was delicious non the less. Servers were so nice and helpful. Very accommodating and took pride in their knowledge of the food and how much we enjoyed it. Our pad thai came with the appetizers which we didn't mind but one our servers noticed that while we were eating the other amazing food the pad thai was getting cold so when we were about to dig in he insisted he could have them make us a new fresh batch. Wow...I felt bad because I didn't want them to go to that trouble but it was worth it. Delicious pad thai without the spice of course but still amazing. Great food, great servers and nice atmosphere. Enjoyed this place and will come again plus recommend to those who visit San Francisco.

Our waiter was absolutely annoyed from the moment we sat down. He needed to be asked everything, dinner special’s, drink list, etc. Then read off the specials without explanation and looked down at his iPad and walked away. He kept returning to the table even more annoyed (rudely) each time because we weren’t sure what we wanted to order. So when specifically asked about the difference between 2 items he reread them from the menu. He let us know the kitchen would be closing several times. We never did order any other food items and then we got the check. We asked if he could cork our bottle of wine for us. He came back and literally pushed the cork in 1/2 inch, ok 3/4 inches? We asked another waiter if they had a bag or if they do anything else to the bottle to be able to walk out of the restaurant with the bottle of wine the way the waiter had sealed it. The other waiter tried to make it right and fixed the wine bottle to reflect that it was leaving a restaurant and not a 7/11. We are both experiencing upset stomachs today. Good thing we only shared 4 prawns and the lettuce wraps.

Food is good. After seating, we had many waiters but as we were finishing, getting a waiter for the bill was difficult. Then the bill is ONLY on their electronic device, which the waiter holds for one to read the list of items ordered, tip, and sign. Afterwards, the waiter asked if I wanted a receipt, to which I responded "yes". He disappeared and now over 6 hours later I am still awaiting the receipt. We had another appointment and left.

We went for Happy Hour & enjoyed the reduced prices. The interior of the resto looked very nice, so I rated accordingly, but since we chose to sit outside in the parklet, we didn't really get the full ambiance. Service was good, and server checked back to see if we wanted to order more before happy hour ended, which we appreciated. I will return.

We celebrated our son’s birthday in SF over the weekend and choose E&O for dinner. We had the best experience! Ashley was so welcoming. The wait staff were so personable and fun. Our good was AMAZING. Our top favorites were the Sui Mai dumplings, Green Beans, lettuce cups, and BEST of all, steamed pork buns. So good!

E&O Kitchen has always had fantastic food offerings! I have been dining at E&O Kitchen for years -- and at the suggestion of our server (who was terrific) we tried the mushroom dumplings and I do not know how I have never had these before! They are dynamite!!! Umami and delicious!! We had a lovely evening and will be back again soon!

One dish (glass noodle w/shroom and kimchee) really great and a few good and one (curry noodles w/tofu pillows) was surprisingly bland and uninteresting. Menu is interesting fun. If executed well this place would become a fave - but it's really just mediocre to good, not great. More attention to spices and flavor palette would really help. Our waiter made mistakes and didn't attend to us when we wished he had. Nice atmosphere and overall pleasant vibe.

Quaint restaurant that I have overlooked in Union Square. Met friends in town, the restaurant accommodated outside seating- it was a gorgeous day in San Francisco! Absolutely amazing food, would definitely return. Something for everyone as far as menu: we had eggplant, butternut squash dumplings, & lettuce wraps- all sublime.
