Good food and service.
Went for a business lunch with colleagues. Various lunch options, salads, sandwiches, noodle soup etc. All good. Service was excellent and food came very quickly once we informed the server we had limited time.
Service was friendly, and we were seated even though we were early. Foods was delicious. Only snaufu was that the bar was backed up and our food arrived before our drinks and we had to flag down someone to ask about our drinks. When they finally arrived, all was delicious, generous portions, inventive twists on Asian cuisine, and highly shareable.
Great food and great service! Four of us met for a work lunch. We ordered two apps, two salads, two entrees, and water. Total was $110. Highly recommend.
We've eaten here many times but this time it seems like some of the items were not up to standard. The ribs, for example, had a cheap tamarind/hoisin glaze which might have been purchased from Major Cisco. The ribs themselves were well prepared and the dish is ample. The wood-roasted edamame were delicious and generous. Get these! The Ahi tartare was as good as it has always been accompanied by seaweed black sesame crackers. Our server was very attentive and very helpful. The table on one side of us was so loud we gave up trying to talk during our dinner. There should be some sort of noise meter.
I was catch by the pictures and reviews but unfortunately the overall experience was very different. The food was disappointing and service was also a shame. The waitress poke us to communicate. I do not recommend and was intrigued by the good reviews.
I visit San Francisco to see my sons and their families. I always go to E&O at least one night during my visits because it is my favourite restaurant.
Overall, it was a really good meal and service was great. We were 4 women with very specific food issues (some actually legimate allergies) and our server was great-steered us to dishes that worked. We all found something that was delicious and were happy with both food and service. Food came promptly. The restaurant was busy and location was great. Decor was nice but a little tired. Could actually have a conversation so that was nice too!
Overall, a lovely meal!
The food was amazing. We had the satay steak and the New York strip both were cooked perfectly. The service was great as well super friendly and prompt.
Shitake mushroom dumplings were amazing!! Great service and good food. Shame there were a couple of over energetic groups that were a little too loud. Otherwise great restaurant.
Food is utterly amazing! Shiitake mushrooms dumplings, oysters, shaken beef and cod are MUST haves!
Ahi tuna was excellent, mushroom shiitake dumpling melt I your mouth. Services was excellent wine list could set it up a little and have more to offer. But overall one of my favorite San Francisco restaurants
Fabulous location and delicious food lots of gluten free options, I’ll keep coming back it’s an easy decision.
Inviting atmosphere, yummy cocktails and delightful fun dishes to share. We’ll be back !!
Fabulous! My vegetarian daughter enjoyed the food, my gluten-sensitive daughter found happiness, and my wife, who loves Asian food, was in heaven. I too adored the place. Five stars!
Great food, fun atmosphere, but drinks service was slow.
I have come to this restaurant on and off since it opened years ago. It had been a couple years since I had a chance to dine her. My cousin and wife came into town and wanted something near Union Square. I opted to try E&O again. I'm so glad I did!
The service was good but the food was excellent. it all came out piping hot and had such good flavor.
We opted do several small plates and none of them disappointed. From the egg rolls, baby back ribs, corn fritters to the chicken lettuce wraps...all very good.
Hats off to this great establishment for keeping things so consistently good all of these years!
I always enjoy coming here for 20 years. Great menu. Fun vibe. Great crowd.
Food was great -- service was not. We waited 20min for drinks after we ordered. It was busy time at 7pm but we did have a reservation.
A favorite of mine. I recommend the butternut squash dumplings.
Service and Food was AMAZING!! We had a wonderful time and was delighted by the entire experience!! We will definitely be back!!
Good Asian fusion, but pretty noisy environment. In general, the photos look better than the place itself. Though, the food is good value for money. We really liked the dumplings and the satay platter. Not what we expected, but we still had a pretty decent time and good food.
Great flavors but the service was awful.
Nice big space delicious food!
Like all american restaurants too loud
Way too loud for older ears. First seated in area where we had to shout to be heard across the table. The next location was a bit better, but way to loud.
Súper rico todo los platillos que pedimos. TIP: pedir platos para compartir para que puedan probar de todo. La atención fue excelente, gracias Francisco y Martín por hacernos sentir como en casa.
Oysters were just okay. Food was just okay. Good value and good service.
Food was great, modern Asian/American fusion fare, not traditional but very tasty. Meat cooked over coals which is much appreciated! Generous portions, we ordered 7 starters and satays to share among four ppl and we were stuffed - go easy on the starters if you want a main and dessert. Service was great, reasonable value ~$50 per head but we rolled out very full. I highly recommend eating here!
Food was delicious! we got the duck buns, ribs, Indonesian rice & chicken satay. Dessert was only okay, the chocolate brownie/banana combo. Service was fast, we had 2 plates of food before our drinks came which felt a bit rushed. I would 100% come back just for the ribs though!
Outstanding food and service!
We were wanting some fresh and healthy Chinese food and this was a great fit! Waiter was super attentive, food hot or cold as it should be. Beef satay was the best I’ve ever tasted. Not traditional Chinese food, but it was a great experience.
My friends and I will definitely go back; great food and excellent service.
Food and service was fantastic. Particularly recommend the black cod. Only slight negatives were the proximity of the tables and the extremely fast delivery of the food. We would have liked to savour each delicious plateful a wee bit longer!
The food was exceptional. Two of us split 2 small plates and one large plate. Best calamari ever and the fried rice rocked.
We have been here several times before and were a bit disappointed on some of our favorite dishes. The duck bao were less flavorful(dry) and the salt and pepper calamari was nothing special.but the dried green beans blew us away yet again, and the mushroom dumplings sublime. Our service was beyond 5 stars, always is.
Great food and a great time.
We meet friends for lunch. It was quiet enough that we had no problems hearing each other. The service was great. The lunch menu had many choices on it from large to small. We all agreed that it was a good experience.
Not too sure if the oysters served was fresh. But Would not mind going back again, and perhaps avoid the oysters.
