It is a cute little place lots of old charm. The staff was great , very busy but still attentive and efficient. I got the mushroom main dish and it was very bland so I asked for salt. I love mushrooms so I was very surprised I didn't care for it. The polenta it was served with was fresh tasting and delicious. My husband got the brisket that he enjoyed but the horseradish sauce tasted like it had cayenne in it which he didn't care for because he likes regular horseradish so much. The wine, so good, it was a cab, smooth, smoky and delicious. The Madelines with warm chocolate sauce were also yummy. We would try again but I would just order something else.
Wonderful dining. The atmosphere and ambience set the tone for the evening. Our server was professional and friendly. Enjoyed the food. You can’t go wrong with the salads. Fresh ingredients with a nice helping. The entrees and desserts were fantastic. Really enjoyed ourselves and would love to come back.
Nice ambiance and good cocktails. Appetizers were very good. Had the NY strip steak special and it was underwhelming. Nice blue cheese topping but small, thin steak. I would return for atmosphere and cocktails and hope for better luck with the entree next time.
Our aim is for diners to have a positive experience. We appreciate a guest voicing concerns with any part of the experience, so that we can make efforts to fix the problem and make it right. It is disappointing that you did not have the courtesy and courage to alert the staff at the time of your visit, thereby depriving us of the opportunity to address your issue. Sadly some people thrive more on posting snippy comments anonymously.

We (party of 3) went to have dinner and try out the restaurant. We arrived at 4:55 PM for a 5:00 PM reservation. We were tole we could pick whichever table we like since we were the first to arrive. We waited a little while for out server to bring us menus and take drink orders, not bad. Our only real issue was we placed our order (Note: there had a special menu for the night with small plates $5 each and you would order from maybe 12 different items} We selected 5 different items and wait and waited maybe 30-40 minutes! Food was excellent so we ordered 3 other items and waited another 30-40 minutes. Placed an order for 3 more items (each plate is very small) and waited but decided to order dessert 20 minutes after and waited another 30-40 minutes. Finally I had enough (note: only 4-5 tables with 2-4 people at each table part of the time we were there) after a 2 hour of dinner and waiting more than dining. I told them cancel our order and bring the check since I did not want to be another hour waiting. They apologized and after a while brought the check and said that they only had only one cook on and issues with computer putting in orders.
We really liked the food and the staff were polite and professional but wait times for food and the small amount of people at the restaurant makes for a very bad impression!
Would we go again? MAYBE but will go when not very hungry so the 2 hours and a half of wait time you will not be starving during the wait.
Our usual kitchen staff needed the night off and so I was by myself in the kitchen.I am truly sorry you had to wait. Unfortunately it is hard to plan and we honestly did not expect this interest. Very unfortunate experience - the food was cold , and despite explaining a Gluten Free requirement - the steak was served with flour coated fries.
The “vegetables” were boiled overcooked and looked pa;e and limp.
A VERY different food experience than prior times - there were only 5 tables in the restaurant and the kitchen was clearly struggling .
Sorry for your unsatisfactory experience. I will discuss with the staff. Yes, we use a corn starch / rice flour combination on the fries. Btw I was trying to locate your reviews from prior, more enjoyable times, but could not locate them.
I'm truly torn in writing this review. This restaurant, like many in the area, is struggling to adapt to the new COVID life reality. There were only two tables seated when we arrived. Things started off fine, got drinks and an appetizer order, and ordered our main course. Then it was a loooong wait for anything else. Food wasn't coming, no check on whether we wanted another round while waiting, and we noticed close to an hour later the tables that had been seated when we arrived were just getting their food. The chef came by our table to apologize and said there was an issue in the kitchen, and I had to ask him for a second drink round, since our server had not been by to check on us. Later the server did come back and when we asked what had happened, she said they had so many takeout orders the kitchen was just slammed and could not keep up. We were seated right by the door, and I didn't see anyone coming in to pick up takeout, maybe it was delivery, maybe another entrance, I don't know. I did see two tables sitting outside when we arrived, maybe they were waiting for takeout, no idea. Maybe this is the new reality until establishments can adjust. We did note other area restaurants on a busy night not even accepting takeout orders. We were able to get a reservation here so considered ourselves lucky since many others are first come, first served. When the food did arrive, my wife's crab cakes were very good, but my pork medallions were seriously overdone. Will likely try again, but will wait a while for them to figure things out. Staff was, through it all, very courteous and pleasant, and a nice atmosphere.
You are right. We were trying to find the right balance and we will be limiting our acceptance of take out orders in favor of serving in-house diners when it gets busy. Thanks for your comments.
Service was very good, but both main courses came out lukewarm. There were only 4 tables of people at 545. Disappointing.
Sorry to hear you were disappointed. To comply with state guidelines we can only serve 25% of our normal capacity. Take out orders were overwhelming us a bit and we have adjusted accordingly to improve service to in-house diners. Hope you'll give us another chance.

This a classy casual place with tables outside and inside. It’s not large but cozy. Great menu especially the vegan burger (“impossible burger”). Fresh ingredients and locally sourced.

This place is kind of a miss. The soup was not hot and the food was not worth the price as it was just OK. As for the drinks, the 'special' was good but the mojito that was requested was horrible. I don't think the bartender knew how to make a mojito as he originally put it in a martini glass and I think he just threw it into a glass with one mint leaf. The mint was not muddled, etc. The dessert was really nothing special either. This is the reason why I gave this a 'fair' rating. Not worth the price for the $$ we spent.
Thanks for your insightful comments. Were have fired the bartender for the inexcusable failure to properly serve a mojito without muddling the mint, etc. and we are taking steps to address your other concerns.
Great first visit!
We were in Honesdale for a concert at the Cooperage. We were very late for our reservation, but Mollie seated us quickly, had a drink in our hands before we knew it and a quick dinner served in record time.
The potato leek soup was very good and the seafood stew very tasty. My wife was pleased with her crab cakes. In and out in 40 minutes including dessert! The Cooperage is a block away.
We will return for a more leisurely dining experience and have told our friends to give it a try.

Dyberry Forks has been consistent in serving delicious hand crafted cocktails, appys (my fav is the beet tartar with a dollop of light horseradish cream sauce) and great main courses.
We love the ambiance of sitting in the private booths when we are in town. The service is wonderful!!
