Great place for pre or post Broadway show! Tuesdays and Wednesdays have food specials.
So happy to be back in NYC for the first time in almost 2 years! Had brunch at Dutch Fred's (one of our faves!) and everything was great!
The cocktails are very creative here and the bartenders highly skilled. The noise level is very high which gives the place a young and energetic vibe. It is not a place for first dates or deep conversation. The food is tasty and eclectic. Many good choices for sharing. Worth a visit.
A wonderful spot for Saturday brunch before the matinee to a Broadway show. We had a reservation and they seated us quickly. They took all the correct precautions for Covid - checking our vaccinations and licenses, wiping down tables, no menus as you scan the QR code and servers wearing masks. I can't wait to come back again and try it for dinner where we can appreciate the cocktails!
Had a great time the food was awesome and staff was very helpful with recommendations and taking into consideration my food allergies
The staff was very nice, friendly, attentive.
They were very thorough in checking for vaccine cards.
This made us feel comfortable to take our masks off while sitting down to eat.
High recommend , great 80s music too.
I am only going to say that I love this place. I'm not sharing any details because I am hoping that this remains a wonderful neighborhood secret and I still get a table in these limited capacity times.
We enjoyed a wonderful brunch on a recent Sunday. This was our second experience at Dutch Fred's. Our first one was pre-Covid and the restaurant was very energetic. It was a little more subdued now and they do check vaccination cards and ID. The food was inventive and excellent both times. The bottomless cocktail offer is still a good bargain and delicious. We will return when we go to the city for our next Broadway matinee.
A great place for a weekend brunch. The food was good, service attentive and friendly. Convenient location for theater goers and impressive Covid ID requirements. A friendly, neighborhood bar in Hells Kitchen.
Terrific brunch! It was so good we came back for HH!!
Wonderful place for some appetizers and amazing drinks before our show. Kinky Boots was great, but maybe I shouldn't have had 3!
Cool place but don't go if you have plans after. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive and we were seeing a show.
Excellent food, drinks and atmosphere. Loved the playlist too!
Very good service, food and cocktails.
Love this place! Had the best experience yesterday. My group was running ridiculously late for lunch reservation because we were stuck in nonmoving traffic. I called to apologize and tell them to give away our reservation but was told they could accommodate us. They were so kind and not at all annoyed and when we got there, our host even gave the waitress instructions to rush our order because he knew that we were cutting it close for our show starting time. The outdoor seating area is absolutely lovely with individual open rooms, we were charmed. Food was fantastic and we managed a very nice lunch in spite of our time crunch! The Broadway burger was delicious and my friends were very happy with their chicken and waffles and avocado smash. Drinks were also delicious, one friend had the kinky boots cocktail and another friend and I had draft beers that were delicious. Will definitely be back to Dutch Fred’s!
It would be better if they had barriers between the tables and more waitstaff. The open front allows cigarette smoke & exhaust fume to come in, so you probably don't want to sit at the front. The food and drinks are very good, but like a lot of places they're short on waitstaff.
Two of us had the chicken and waffles. Loved it. They have some fun drinks. The expresso martinis were delicious! We had time to kill before seeing Wicked and they didn't rush us out from our table. Will definitely go back.
We had brunch here on Saturday l. The food here is absolutely terrible. Service and cocktails were good-but the food is a no go.
Excellent food and fun place
Sat outside which was much quieter and easier for conversation. Server was excellent - attentive, responsive, quick and friendly. Food was good although they ran out of sweet potato fries. Good value, good experience. Perfect post-show option.
Delicious drinks and shared flatbreads, plus one block from Hamilton's theater!
Absolutely fantastic food. We were in a rush and waitress did her best but took awhile for the food to arrive. Would recommend.
Food drinks were wonderful , beautiful restaurant . Only issue was waitress switched table so there was a moment when we didn’t know who we should ask for help.
In the city to see a Broadway Play.... saw the reviews for this place and I'm glad that I decided to give it a try... Lamb Sliders were amazing, the Mac n Cheese was ok... needed more cheese and was on the dry side. My friend had the dry rub wings and the truffle fries and said they were tasty as well. The drinks were well made and fancy, the way I like; the ambiance was on point and we were seated right away. The service could be a little better. I'll definitely be coming back to this gem real soon.
Absolutely wonderful. Made reservations for before a show and everything was timed perfectly. We shared some small bites and the food was excellent. I had a phenomenal cocktail and I found the host, the waitstaff, and everyone we came in contact with to be welcoming and hospitable. All in all a great experience!
Our server was friendly and attentive but failed to see if we needed more water. We ordered a burger with fries that was good and tacos since it was Taco Tuesday. Tiny tacos, but were good. I would eat here again.
We got our food in a timely manner but other guests had a long wait & complained about it. They had theater tickets it was the first night of Broadway reopening so not sure if the kitchen was prepared for this. Overall we enjoyed sitting outside & food was good. Try the Lamb sliders !!
They said Kitchen was understaffed which led to a long wait for food. But overall would still go back
I like that they opened the sidewalk window to give more air and spatial comfort. I like the food as always - fried eggplant and pork buns are to die for. The Willie Wonka cocktail still good. Food delivery is unusually slower than the last time considering a less crowded day (although i do understand some places have less staffing nowadays). Overall, i’m still fond of Dutch Fred’s.
They allowed my party to book brunch for 1530, but then told us it was over when we arrived. A message was left on my phone while I was seeing a movie asking that we come 15m early to fit in 90m of bottomless into the 15m. No other compensation was offered; thankfully one of the other MANY brunch places in the area was able to accommodate. Avoid this place! 💩
Very fun, funky place for brunch. There’s a limited menu but we really enjoyed the eggs Benedict and our server was wonderful!
Service was slow, but everything was great!
Good food, but very poor customer service.
Friendly, attentive service. Seared tuna, chicken sandwich, and Buffalo chicken rolls all delicious. Drink selection is great. Love the casual but stylish atmosphere. Definitely would return.
Great atmosphere, food, drinks & service. It’s the perfect place to go before a show.
HORRIBLE FOOD !!!! pictures on website are great but that’s where the great ends. service is slow and it’s so expensive. save ur money and time.
Good selection of small bites and drink options.
A little loud inside so we moved to the outdoor table and it was perfect. Great service, great food and found it to be a very good value for the price. Live two blocks away and this will be a neighborhood favorite.
Food selection was limited but otherwise it was great
We were celebrating our daughter’s 30th birthday. We had our own pod outdoors that we decorated with flowers as a centerpiece and the small birthday packages made the table festive. It was so nice and private we felt like it was our own celebration.
