A Hell's Kitchen Local serving craft cocktails. Dutch Fred's is a lively cocktail bar serving an elevated food menu in speakeasy style bar.
We don't take reservations from 5pm-8pm. We welcome walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.
**Dutch Fred's is strictly 21 and over after 4pm**
We had a very nice lunch before our afternoon show. The establishment was clean & tidy. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and when I asked about a food allergy that I have, she confirmed with the kitchen about the ingredients. We shared some small plates and enjoyed everything. Tables next to us had salads and they looked delicious as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone for a delicious meal!
Way too noisy for dining.
Went there before seeing Chicago and it was a great experience! I’d recommend their flatbreads; delicious!!
Our friend with celiac LOVED the gluten free chicken tenders. My sister thought her burger was fine. I really enjoyed my steak sandwich. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The vibe was great, and the bathrooms were very clean. I was only disappointed with my drink. I ordered a Four Horsemen. It was sooo good, and I was very happy! Until 3 sips in when I realized there was an ice ball the diameter of the cup taking up most of where my $15 drink should have been. A few sips later it was gone. I’ve never had that experience with a craft cocktail before, not in NYC or anywhere else for that matter. After looking at their website I noticed that these are features in the photos, but at the time I was surprised and disappointed.
My only issue was that I requested low top but was seated at high top
Food and drinks are delicious. Staff was very nice and friendly. Bottomless brunch is the way to go! Will definitely be back.
Atmosphere was great! Music slight higher than I would have hoped, not saying it was loud but could have been lower. Food was amazing! Drink selection was fun and playful. Would recommend to everyone!
We had an excellent pre-theater meal of apps and drinks. The service was excellent. The drink menu was inventive and varied. The food was prepared very well.
Excellent food and service! Katie was so sweet! We will be back!
Great menu for food & drinks! nice atmosphere and friendly service too.
Excellent bar/restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. Drinks are fab and the service always great.
Food and service were outstanding. Great music at brunch as well!
We saw a broadway show for the holidays and are afterwards.
My third time back to Dutch Fred’s. Fun cocktails, good food and ambiance...would recommend to anyone in the area
Food was great but our server seemed overwhelmed and behind.
Daisy was fantastic! The whole team helped to accommodate my 91 year old grandmother which was very sweet and much appreciated. Happy new year all!
A great place for dinner and drinks with friends.
We had cocktails and they were excellent! Great ambiance for a lounge-type vibe!
We had a great experience! The food was outstanding and our service was very attentive and friendly. The cocktails were delicious with excellent presentation.
The entire experience, service, food, ambiance, music was fantastic
Loved the atmosphere and the food! Went for brunch before a show and it was very convenient. Everyone loved this spot and we will definitely go again!
Food and drinks were great, a nice pre-theatre option. Lovely live jazz music as well!
Wonderful last dinner of our new York trip
We wanted a cozy bar type restaurant with a “ cheers “ like feel and we got it!! Will be back ❤️
We went there to kick of a day of festivities for my best friend’s bachelorette celebration and it was perfect! Everyone was so kind and attentive and made her feel fabulous! Thank you so much!
Absolutely loved the cocktails here! Really cool drinks and a fun atmosphere!
Nice drink menu. Food was average. Ambience is nice.
Always a fabulous time! The Huevos Rancheros were delicious!
We had a great Brunch here. I love a good breakfast sandwich and the egg Sammy here was excellent.
The best cocktail lounge in the Theater District. With a cool downtown vibe, DF's serves awesomely creative mixed drinks and delicious food.
My only “complaint” was that we were going to be late for our reservation- I called the restaurant twice to let them know. Got a voicemail each time. I quickly made a modification to our reservation when we knew we were going to be late - and We fortunately were still able to be seated when we arrived. Food was good - drinks were pricey - but it’s NYC. We had a good time overall.
Great gluten free options, amazing cocktails, awesome atmosphere and lighting.
Hadn’t been back in over a year and DF’s did not disappoint. Kinky Boots for the Mrs. and a Sixth Sense for me. Great - well crafted cocktails. Followed this up up with the Oregon Pinot Noir .... fair priced and better than fair quality.... whoever is responsible - nicely done! Eggplant chips, lamb sliders, and the seared sesame tuna. Thursday night - we were there early /pre show and if you didn’t have a rez waits were 1/2 hour +..place was crowded which increased the decibel level but - hey - I always say if it’s that popular odds are decent the place is pretty good. Totally (still) recommend!
Great drinks before a show.
Food was great. Drinks elegant. Attractive crowd. Exceptional service.
Great drinks and food. Friendly service.
Great place for drinks and a nosh. The restaurant does NOT have a full menu, so don’t expect dessert unless you plan to drink it.
Fantastic food and drinks - and atmosphere was amazing. Service could have been a little more attentive, but everything else made up for it!
Great brunch menu! Avocado mash was plentiful and great. The pancake served in a cast iron skillet looked and smelled delicious, the two people who ordered it devoured it. The breakfast tacos and the eggs Benedict were also good. There was live music , which was a great addition.
Brunch. The music was great.
I love this little place. Great food, great drinks and upbeat atmosphere.
