The service (Mike) was outstanding. He took great care of us and made sure my Mom's birthday celebration was really special. Thanks so much.
Birthday dinner and everything was great! To the service, food, overall experience. Great place to visit.
Sunday spaghetti dinner is an amazing value for a family
Honestly this place is so disappointing, food and service wise. The location and space are amazing, but every time I've been here my food has been terrible. Slow service, dirty tables, dirty glasses - not appetizing. Don't get the avocado toast - the smoked salmon on top was completely brown, as was most of the avocado. Waste of money.
Thank you for great seats. And being understanding on reservation time change.
Food and service were great! Definitely will come back soon!
Good food. Nostalgic location with great service. Selections of beer good.
What a great experience. The Mac and cheese was amazing! We loved our waiter. I wanted blue cheese stuffed olives in my dirty martini and he had the bartender make them especially for me. My friend had the fish and chips and she loved it. Great time - thanks!
Pretty much just ok. Didn’t look at menu before going, expected a little bit more. Menu was kinda bar-foody, just a bit higher quality. Probably a little expensive for what is offered. Wasn’t expecting real upscale but it felt more like shorts and t-shirt style place with menu to match.
The food we had (chicken gyro) was really bad. The chicken was weirdly processed and barely edible.
We walked in for our reservation and were seated in an empty part of the restaurant which is tucked away from the street and really not why we booked I asked to move and the host said we don’t really do that. The server came up (Gigi) she seemed like she didn’t want to be there being in the industry I understand but you have to cover that up and make your guests excited to be dining with you. The food and drinks are the same price which is a little weird $14 for a sandwich $14 for a 5 oz mimosa?? Not made with an outstanding cava or requiring any really drink building. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and asked to get something other than spicy potatoes bc I don’t really like too much spicy in the morning after drinking. Gigi looked at me and said “I mean we don’t do that but like what would you want” I said “really anything else some fruit or just regular potatoes” she said “yeah no we don’t do that” and walked away it was just an odd interaction. The food was good. I don’t think I’d recommend or go back to this place based off of service given and the value of the meal.
Had an early reservation prior to Cubs game. Seated at a table in a quiet corner. Nice. Waited 15 minutes, other later arrivals were served drinks and had orders taken, we were never approached by a server. Walked out front door with no acknowledgment from any employee. Very uninspired menu. No loss. Won't recommend. From New Orleans. They would NOT survive.
The food was amazing. But the bartender could care less whether we were there or not. She did not check in or even smile the entire time we were there.
Great food, friendly staff, a neighborhood gem, A great addition to Wrigleyville
You can't beat the location, however, the menu is small and kind of scattered. There isn't a focus on any 1 type of cuisine. Our waitress recommended AGAINST 4 of the menu items on the already-small menu. I ended up with the burger and wasn't asked how I would like it cooked, which is the only question you really ask someone when they get a burger. The garlic knots appetizer seemed stale. I think given the location of this place, and how beautiful it is inside, more can (should) be done to make the menu better and improve the food.
Food was good, but unfortunately not worth how poor service was.
Came in for lunch with our two toddlers. 12:30 pm reservation on Saturday and brunch menu was the only available menu (despite their website showing an “all day” menu). Server was very nice and attentive but stretched thin and rarely saw her. Food took too long to come out, brunch menu was limited, and it took us about 1.5 hrs from start to finish. I’m sure if we were to come for dinner, it would be a different experience. Just wasn’t pleased with what took place this go round.
Food was good. Wife enjoyed her brick chicken more than I enjoyed the salmon. Atmosphere was awesome. Sat next to an open window looking at Wrigley Field. Service was great.
The server was really rude
This restaurant is fine for a family with a lot of kids but definitely not a place I'd recommend for a date night. The food was sub-par, my red wine was straight from the fridge and the service was ehhh. This place is about the same quality of food as an Applebees but twice the price.
Right across from Wrigley so great view but hardly anyone there. Nice place and decent food although very limited menu. Low noise level was good for conversation with clients so overall was a good experience.
Great location...little pricey for quality. Chicken Ceasar Salad just okay. Everyone else loved their food.
Spicy potatoes were awesome.
The service was extremely slow And the food terrible
Brunched on a non-baseball game day at 12:30pm on a Sunday and there were plenty of reservations available. Favorites were the biscuits and gravy - nice biscuit texture - and the pecan buns. Breakfast sandwich was also excellent. Drinks were also great but pretty expensive.
Beverage service was pretty slow but other than that, it was great and I will be returning.
The food wasn't anything "outstanding" like a WOW factor. Service was great, Wings were good, just the Brisket was soggy and I don't remember what my wife had, but she said it wasn't anything she would get again.
It seems the dinner menu had changed somewhat from my last visit. The food was ok, but did not feel it was as good as previous visits.
Rare confluence of excellence. Service, food and atmosphere. Outstanding! Highly recommend 👍
The ambiance is great and the view is outstanding! The service was "okay" and the food was good. Good beverage selection, though very small amount of wine in the glass for $11. Have been before and will go again. Overall it is definitely worth a try, and you can't beat the location if you're taking in a Cubs game.
It is a great space! The hostess was super friendly. I was thrown off when we walked in the place because it was completely empty yet the woman who confirmed my reservation the day before said we might have to squeeze into a booth since we added on a couple of people the day before the res. The food was ok but nothing that will make me go back again. It’s conveniently located across from Wrigley Field and the design of the place is cool but nothing remarkable about the food.
Had reservations to celebrate Father’s Day. Walked in and 4 hosts/managers didn’t greet us for a couple of minutes while they were focused on their computer and discussing seating reservations etc. It wasn’t even busy so one of them could have at least said hi we’ll be right with you. Couldn’t even be bothered to say Happy Father’s Day to my husband. They sat us in an empty section like we were castoffs. The food was wonderful as usual but overall it was a disappointing experience and I felt really bad that I chose it to celebrate my husband’s first Father’s Day.
Hotel food at best, have given this place two try’s
Great pre show spot
Such a fun and delicious way to show out of towners Wrigley!
Our served was so nice but we waited 30 minutes before anyone came to the table. We asked twice for help. Even once our server came, she wasn't able to be attentive as she was too busy. There was not enough help for how busy the restaurant was. We were there for over 2 hours and solely because of slow service. We loved the atmosphere and the food was good so we will try it one more time.
We have been coming to Dutch and Docs since it has opened. The food and drinks were still on par but we had a waitress approach our table asking us to keep our voices down as a family next to us was having dinner. Please keep in mind this was before a Cubs/Cardinals game on a Saturday night. We had just taken a picture for a group of Cardinals fans that were sitting by us. The conversation was friendly banter and were at the same noise level as the rest of the place on a game day. I was offended by this incident and will reconsider returning based on that. I have a family as well and if I want a quiet dinner on a Saturday night it would not be in Wrigleyville before a matchup like that. They should know better.
We had brunch here before the Cubs game. We had a reservation which was good because very busy. Waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable about menu, and attentive. I ordered the avocado toast and with salmon on it, it was different and good! My husband had buffalo wings, chicken was moist and sauce was really good...perfect
Amount of heat and delicious flavor! Thanks, we’ll be back
We were really surprised to see that the menu has changed significantly over the last year and feels much more limited. When they opened D&D had a nice steakhouse feel which is no longer the case. Our food was still very good but the service was some of the poorest we’ve had in a Chicago eatery in many years.
Very expensive for what it was and service was poor. Bloody Mary’s had all the toppings left off and for claiming to be a brunch restaurant, menu was limited and many items were already sold out despite being early on Sunday and waiter advising items were made fresh each AM.
The hostesses, bartenders and our waiter were all fabulous. Funny, laid back, attentive- all the right qualities for an enjoyable (yet rainy) night out in Wrigley. Everyone enjoyed their food- good quality food/menu options.
