Food was great service was great as always! My waitress misunderstood my order and didn’t bring out what I asked the first time but she made up for it by adjusting my bill. She still gave me what I asked for but she went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. The manager came over and addressed me by my name and that made me feel so important! I love M. Sushi and you won’t be disappointed when you go!

First time and definitely not the last. Well worth every penny! Very busy due to how good the sushi is; book well in advance if you want a table! Every review of any sushi place claims to have the best sushi in town but, I’d say this one puts up a fight with any other restaurant! Sit at the bar for the full experience when you come back.

Party of four (two couples) enjoying M Sushi. (I had been there before, but our friends had not, so it was a bit hard for them to find the place since you can't drive into the alley, which is the published address.) The only reason I am giving 4 stars is that the service sometimes looked a tad understaffed, so e.g. refilling of our wine glasses (the bottle was placed so it was clear the waiter was supposed to do refills), replacing our missing plates, etc. took a bit too long sometimes. Not big things at all but something we noticed and what's the point of giving 5 stars if you think some aspects still could be improved upon, so thus the 4 stars for overall and service.

The 6 plus Sushi chefs are lined up at the bar and on full display. I would recommend Table Smoked Black Cod and any of their delicious sushi. We had a bottle of sweet sake, Happy Bride, that was very flavorful and a hit with all at our table. The server, Dahyun, was so wonderful explaining differences in Sake, and making recommendations. THIS IS THE BEST SUSHI I have ever had! They made my birthday very special!

M Sushi feels like a second home, but with food I never knew my tastebuds needed. While their vegan options are in small quantity, they deliver each time with full flavor. It is our favorite place to go for special celebrations and for an intimate setting on date night, and it's become our go-to spot for all things sushi in the triangle. After going to M Sushi nowhere else compares with flavor, food, technique, freshness, and service. 10/10 every time. Also, M Sushi in Cary is great when Durham is fully booked or if craving M on a Monday.

Everything is fabulous at M Sushi. Incredible food and drinks, excellent service, and peaceful and pleasant vibe all make for a top-notch experience that's one of the best in Durham. I had several wow moments eating the Grand Omakase meal and only one moment where it was merely fine (you can't win 'em all!), and I heartily recommend that meal for a special occasion. I'm so grateful this restaurant exists in Durham and for the great work by all of the employees I encountered!

The food is outstanding - truly so delicious and beautiful. Our server was not good. She didn't pay attention to us (we were not ordering alcohol) and she never checked back in to see if we needed more sodas or anything. She never once asked how we liked our food (we loved it). We certainly will try it again but the reviews of service seem uneven. We still tipped her quite a bit (the bill is quite high even without alcohol) and it truly didn't match the service given. I just hope that it is a shared tip situation with the chefs and other staff. They do deserve it. Prices that high should come with good service and I would think with a restaurant that is always busy and has such costly menu items, they could get very good servers.

My wife and I went for our anniversary and it was an exceptional experience. We ordered the Nigiri Omakase, which is one of the most unique and delicious dining experiences I've had in 15 years living in Durham. A truly special evening!

They have a good selection and variety of menu items. One of the 4 in our group had never had sushi before. Each of us selected a different roll so that we could all get to share everything. We also had dumplings as an appetizer to share. Everything was fresh and delicious!

It appears there is a bug issue. We changed tables 3 tim s and then left. There were flying insects all over my shirt and in the back corner. Love this place, and know they will get it corrected, but not a good experience last night.

Service was great, food was great, Only issue, table was very wobbly, had to keep my foot on it. Not a big deal but turned a great diner to little annoying Should not be a big deal to fix tables. Would recommend. Thanks
