But we're not just about eating and drinking... We firmly believe that any pub should be the hub of it's local community, and try to provide a selection of events to cater for all the eclectic and wonderful people who live in Fulham. Our door is always open (during designated opening hours) and there's always something going on to get involved with or laugh at in equal measures. It's not a pub, it's a way.
We booked an evening meal here so we could also watch the Chelsea match. From the moment we arrived at the bar, the staff were helpful. They went out of their way to position us a table so we had an excellent view of the screen. The atmosphere was perfect for watching a local match - energetic and busy. The food was pretty good - staff attentive when informed an item of the food was missing. Would recommend if you like to watch a game with a good atmosphere and eat something that is not the usual mass produced.
Booked a table on seeing the reviews in the Londist for a late Sunday lunch. I don’t usually bother to comment or write reviews but hopefully mine can spare others making the same mistake. When I arrived it didn’t look like any tables were available to eat as they’d all been arranged to view the football which was being shown on about 8 tv screens very loudly. I was beginning to think I had the wrong place. I told the guy at the bar I had reserved a table and he looked as confused as me about it. Eventually he came back to me and pointed to a high table with some low down chairs and some bar stools- even then there wasn’t enough chairs for our reservation. After no service we decided to leave to go somewhere we could hear each other speak and where our presence didn’t feel like an inconvenience to those working there. Disappointing and definitely doesn’t match their reviews.
Not great. Will be writing to the restaurant to complain.
Small portions for food and very expensive (specially the starters and sides)
My friend got an vegetarian burger and the mushroom was with a dodgy taste.
Music was good and the waiter really kind and nice. The service was exceptional
Absolutely empty at 2pm on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Ordered 2 roasts; pork and beef with a pint and sparkling water. £44. The roasts were very poor, the 2 slices of beef were as thick as bacon, the gravy watery and the 3 potatoes over cooked and dry.
Service was excellent, staff very friendly.
They need to up their game if they want it to be busier.
Staff was very friendly and approachable. Food was of a high standard. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.
Staff were very helpful and food was excellent quality (and arrived in good time) despite being fully booked. I will definitely come back.
Nice booths and service was good but roast dinner wasn’t really worth the money, would go again but try a different meal.
No ambiance at all. No customers. No music. No
Hi AnneMarie I was disappointed to see your review. You didn't leave much detail though. Would you mind sending me a bit more information so that I can use this constructively?
Great Sunday Roast,
We ordered Roast Pork, Beef and Chicken.
Everything was cooked to perfection form meat to roasties, veg, gravy and Yorkie.
Been here numerous times but the standard of food has reduced...burgers are smaller & more chewy...chips were limp & cold...service is still good..
Great service, great food, good range of beers. 50p wings on a Wednesday, best deal ever!
really nice pub with amazing food! we will definitely be back for another Sunday roast! :)
Very poor service on Friday night from staff members
Came tk the durell for dinner and had the best time.. Staff are super friendly and the service was excellent.. will definitely be coming back and bringing friends the atmosphere is amazing
The food is delicious, the atmosphere always good and the staff extremely friendly. I would recommend!
Took a while to get wings but they were good!
Sat on the sunny and slightly noisy terrace for a delicious Sunday roast. The service was very friendly and attentive.
Absolutely appalling, requested for a booth to be booked for anniversary, turned up to find we were given another table which had 7 people on there. Shocked to hear that only one booth had been booked so the management had failed to assign us a booth despite no on else booking it. There great apology and compromise was to give us a table in front of the men's toilet, noting we wanted to eat dinner. After one coke we left, absolutely dreadful, massive dissapointment.
They don’t actually honour Open Table reservations. Food was fine once we got a table.
The Sunday lunch was great, but the service was not very good, and the puddings really not great.
A nice sports pub, the waitress was lively and served all of us impeccably. Y Sunday roast was super juicy (pork belly) and I loved the long crackling coming with it!
Food didn’t come with what it said it did on the menu and we had things missing. Pudding had sauces added to it which were not meant to be which ruined it and didn’t go with it
Poor service. General attitude from staff wasn't particularly friendly or enthusiastic. Made an appointment which they thought had been cancelled despite that not being the case and me having the appointment booking confirmation to evidence as such. Was found a replacement table but at what the waitress would've had me believe was the biggest effort of her entire life.
Roast was lovely though, can't fault that.
I'd booked a table for the football, however after being told that we would be let in ask we had booked a table, the bouncer refused to let us in. It was overcrowded, but they didn't account for the people that had booked weeks in advance like me. Very disappointed as this is one of my favourites pubs in Fulham and I thought they would be more accommodating. I won't be going back after making it my local for the past year.
The food is overpriced and not that great. We were not asked how we wanted roast beef cooked, very rare so hardly eaten. Little vegetables which were under cooked. Had to send back child burger as it wasn’t as requested. 5 large Diet Coke cost £16.50!
£13.50 for the smallest roast I’ve ever seen. Two roast potatoes and no Yorkshire pudding(s) with the pork belly roast. What I had tasted good but the quantity was terrible and not worth it in the slightest. I had to eat again when I got home.
Not sure if it was the app or the durell but complete waste of time booking a table as football was on we was told no table was booked. Some staff great some staff miserable.
We booked this as a place to go before the Fulham Villa game at the weekend. Service was quick considering it was busy. Wish I had known about the gooey fries they looked awesome. Will probably go back after a heavy night for those another time.
Booked Sunday lunch here with my daughter and boyfriend as they live nearby. None of our party had eaten at the Durell before, however the reviews on OpenTable were good, so we went for it. Had roast beef and yorkshire pudding and it was very nice indeed. All members of our party enjoyed the meal. Pub/Restaurant is very spacious so you didn't feel crammed in like other places, and overall the ambience was good. Staff serving were very helpful and attentive. Would definitely go back again.
Great atmosphere and a really good day, but we had paid £250 for a booth package and had to ask for the food to be delivered 3 or 4 times. Quite frustrating but good day all in all.
Went for dinner on a Friday night - pub was busy, almost all tables taken. Young bustly vibe. Went to order food, didn't have half the options available from the menu due to food delivery issues. From what we were able to order, food was average at best. Much better pub food offerings in the area. More weatherspoons than gastro.
Booked table for 9.45, arrived early to find out kitchens were closed
we chose the Durrel arms for a sunday lunch based on the web pages.
When we arrived no one new of our booking, no one asked us if we wanted to eat there.
The place looked worn out and rather tatty and empty at 1.00 o'clock.
We had driven by the Durelle arms on the Saturday evening about 10.00pm and it was heaving with drinkers who all looked like they were enjoying themselves.
I would suggest this it is just a good old fashioned boozer and great fun if you are young.
Very accommodating manager. We were there to watch the football and rugby and ensured we had space to watch the rugby on a different screen.
No table was reserved. Staff and about 10 guests more interested in SA vs Aus than Premier League. I have been going to DA before and after every Fulham FC home game for 6 years. It used to be proper football pub. No longer the case. I wish them good luck, I'll be going elsewhere.
Great Sunday lunch and with£20 a bottle prosecco everyone's a winner! The service was impeccable (well until the guy serving us finished his shift, then it went downhill somewhat). Worth a visit - wish I lived nearer!
Great place to go and have a beer and enjoy the live music of a late evening. Fun atmosphere, however the food lets it down.
Customer service was excellent! Friendly and kind staff, amazing and tasty food. Had a great experience food came quick and everything was great! Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends!!
Booked a table on open table for Saturday during the rugby to be told that the booking was not taken, why have the pub on open table if you do not accept bookings on Saturdays for the rugby. It means you are left with no place to go on short notice.
