The food and drinks were amazing, 5/5. We were a party of 5 and every single plate of food was a mouthful of distinct flavors. I was leary because I’m familiar with the state of Durango where my family is from and thought perhaps this was just going to be another Mexican restaurant but the chef has elevated it by 10. I can tell he poured his heart and soul to incorporating some of the regional dishes and ingredients from Durango. The ingredients Durango is known for are the Mennonite and quesillo, nopales, and beef (livestock is front and center in Durango, along with mezcal.
The must haves: fried menonita cheese balls, yellowtail ceviche crudo, short rib, trenza de chocolate y churro with dulce de leche.
The decor of the restaurant is beautiful with special touches that make this a truly special place for celebratory dinners. Also the roof top is now open although we were not able to experience it due to the rain. In good weather they have a prime view of Rancho Cucamonga peak. I would say it’s worth dressing up for a night out, dressy casual at minimum. I can’t wait to go back and try some more of the wonderful food.
