Duo Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food was very, very good. The wine selections were very broad from both the West Coast, Italy and France. Service was a little slow at first, because they had been overwhelmed by the number of non reservations coming in and crowding the bar, but things improved and ended well.
Our first time dining at Duo. Will not be our last. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. We selected it because they had a vegan option that was not a veggie burger. So both my vegan partner and I could have a fine dining experience. I so appreciate a chef who takes all diets into consideration when creating a menu. Thanks for a special night.
Whenever we ski in Colorado, we make our way to Duo for brunch on our return to the Denver Airport. We love the neighborhood and the restaurant. Terrific, friendly service from the moment we walked in the door., and our server, Jessica, took great care of us. We had everything from the Pork Benedict to The Crock (bison) to the chicken sandwich. Everyone loved their meals. (Great gluten-free options, as well). My husband loved his spicy Bloody Mary. We always enjoy reading the placemats. Cute idea. We highly recommend Duo!
Very good brunch - ordered the Crispy Polenta Cake and Sweet Sunday. My husband and I both loved the mustard sauce on his entree, and the harissa sauce with the polenta was wonderful. Service was very good; wait staff was present and easily accessible, but we did not feel rushed to finish our meal. Would love to visit again to try the dinner menu.
Really enjoyed the Menu. I had the Pork Chop and it was just awesome. 2 others had the Lamb and it was also really good, but could have added a bit more side dish, maybe some potatoes. Service was a bit spotty, took for ever to get our first round of drinks and then we had to ask if we could put our app order in. After that it was smooth sailing. It is a bit noisy, if that bothers you.
I liked Duo. It was a fun place for friends to catch up. The pastry board, though it sounded lovely, was lacking in flavor. Everything else was good but there was nothing that stood out as awesome. I didn't think it was anything special but it was good and could be a one of those regular places that people go to have brunch
Server Dylan was awesome, knew the menu really well and super chill. Never felt rushed like at some restaurants on a Saturday night. While the menu was small, the options were diverse, interesting and really delicious. Pork chop was moist, bison steak was perfectly prepared, delicious and not dry at all. Decor was hip but warm. Nice spot for a date night. Only wish they offered valet since Highlands is difficult to find parking.
Lackluster meal for two people. Small portions for a high price. Had lobster cakes followed by ravioli with bison. The lobster cakes were above sub par and the ravioli was just a sample size. The entree consisted of two large scallops in a cream sauce that over powered the freshness of the scallops. Total cost was over two hundred dollars including drinks. Not impressed!
If I am going to come down out of the hills for dinner, I want to have a memorable experience and Duo has never disappointed. On our recent visit, my wife ordered the bison and I ordered the pork chop - I have probably not ordered a chop in a restaurant in 25 years because I got tired of being served something that looked and tasted like it had been run over by a truck. Both dishes were outstanding. Our waitperson Jessica did a great job, she was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. The food, the service, the ambience - Duo puts it all together.
we happily stumbled upon Duo when another spot couldn't take our reservation for an hour and a half. What a gift was bestowed upon us with this happy accident! Creative and beautiful cuisine was worth a slightly longer than expected weight but not a deterrent for a return visit in anyway. Staff were pleasant and attentive and the five of us each loved our meals! Quaint and cozy and nicely sized so noise was not an issue. We will be back for sure!
