We were the first to enjoy their new Spring menu, and we’ll be back! Probably our 4th visit to Duo, but it’s always been brunch before, and the dinner was such a great experience that Duo makes you glad that you live in Denver to have a place like this on hand. The mussels were as good as those I’ve had in France: soft, juicy, in a rich broth with fresh snap peas and sourdough for dipping. This could be an entree, itself. I had a funky cocktail, the Everything Nice: it’s an Old Fashioned with...butternut squash and butter, served warm. Wow! I talked with the drinks inventor about how she was inspired to make it. My wife had a perfect pork chop with a strawberry rhubarb sauce and kohlrabi and potatoes, which they substituted because she’s gluten and dairy free. With dinner, I had the Curious Jorge cocktail, rum, banana liqueur, horchata. Really fun. And I had the Lions Mane Mushroom with a tangy asparagus purée and pea risotto (I’m a huge risotto fan) and every bite was a different combo of flavors. We enjoyed talking with the owner about how they’ve been here for 15 yrs and the history of the property. So the evening was a fantastic, memorable experience!
Simply amazing - as always!!! We will definitely be back :-)
Menu options are unique in that the recipes combine standard fare with heathy, seasonal ingredients. Servers explain options with knowledge and patience. Cool hip ambiance. A good value for your hard earned dollar.
Duo was excellent. I took my daughter-in-law and grandchildren, all of whom are grown, to eat there. The portions were excellent and we all felt each of us had an excellent meal!
Duo never disappoints. The celery bisque is exceptional even by Duo standards.
So happy to eat at Duo again! The food and service are always spectacular. One of my all-time faves in Denver!
Last Sunday, you were busy! We really enjoyed being able to be out with friends, something that has been very infrequent this last year. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
Excellent service! The food and wait staff are always amazing! Nicole who was bar tending was awesome and makes a mean and tasty drink! See you again soon!
Seated us right away when we mentioned we had tickets for a walking tour!
Food yummy and interesting! Try the daily pastry!
Everything was great!
Great food and awesome attentive wait staff
Would go back again
Great food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. It was our first time there but Duo will now be added to our list of restaurants to visit regularly.
Great menu. Slow service. No bartender.....
Everything about our dinner was first rate. The food and service were excellent, and since we’re still under Covid restrictions, the atmosphere was quiet and spacious. The menu is small, but the choices covered the range of options that should allow most people to find something they like. It’s the first restaurant i’ve been to here in town that adds a percentage service charge to the bill in place of a tip. The credit card slip has no line where you add the tip yourself. I like that idea, but it is different from what we’re used to.
Delicious food and great ambiance. Would highly recommend.
Came for brunch and left with bottles of hot sauce! The restaurant was fabulous—excellent food, proper execution, and great timing. I hate being rushed through a meal and this was prompt service without the push. Can’t wait to come back!
Went for brunch, it was very good! Will definitely go back to try other things on the menu! I had the special which was the Croque Madame
Definitely more of a special occasion place, not your everyday brunch.
Without fail, we always get a great meal here. It’s why Duo is our go-to-place for special occasions!
It was our first night out as new parents and the place did the trick! We left feeling refreshed and look forward to going back!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. It's a small intimate setting with outstanding food and service. During these trying times the small, 2 seat, outdoor greenhouses are a fun way to have that special dinner. Bison is always a special feature on the menu. Currently, Bison Shortribs are Chef Tyler's choice. The next menu change he will feature a different Bison item. Duo is a long time Denver Highland's neighborhood favorite. The shortribs along with the rosemary grits were amazing. Please support small independently owned restaurants.
Always consistent awesomeness. Great cocktails, food never disappoints.
Pork chops were amazing
Great food and amazing service! This is a great place for date night or catching up with friends!
Love this place. It never disappoints. Although the menu is somewhat limited there is always something to choose from depending on your diet preferences or restrictions. Try the Bordeaux La Verriere Sauvignon blanc. A great alternative to the Sancerre.
They have a limited menu, but everything on it is amazing. They are known for their fried chicken, but the salmon and bison braised rib are also excellent. The duck confit appetizer is delicious. They've instituted a flat 22% service charge and we are happy to know this is helping the waitstaff earn a living wage. The service was spot-on when we were there. We've also ordered take-out from them and it's always excellent. If you are ordering the fried chicken for take-out, order the fried chicken for two: it's really enough chicken for more like four people, and this will provide you with a happy refrigerator when you pull out the leftovers.
Excellent Sunday brunch. Only complaint is the super strong bitter coffee.
Great food, very accommodating. The restaurant ambiance was magical with tiny sparkle lightening. The fired chicken and the short rib were both delicious.
We love Duo! It's quaint, a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends or on a date night, and it offers a small menu with tons of delicious options. On our last visit, my husband ordered the fried chicken, and I ordered the salmon...both were incredibly delicious!
Great dinner at Duo! Loved sitting outside. They were accommodating with my food allergies as well!! Salmon was cooked perfectly - nice and crispy on top. My fiancé loved the pork chop also!
Our new favorite brunch spot!
I hate leaving bad reviews, especially during COVID.
The main thing was that it felt very rushed during the whole dining experience. We understood that there was a time limit for our reservation and restaurants are at limited capacity, but we didn't really get to enjoy ourselves or even select a drink/app/dinner without feeling rushed. Going there was a special occasion that I feel little robbed of. To top it off, the food was alright/good and the bill was $180 for two people.
I can't say it's bad. It's just that there are plenty of other great option in the Denver area.
I love Duo! I’ve been there many times for brunch and dinner. It’s always wonderful!
Good food for brunch. Solid coffee bar and bartender. They have some cool outdoor little cabin things for two too.
The food was wonderful and the ambiance was phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend again.
Fantastic food/drinks, attentive service, and a relaxed ambience. Highly recommend their Irish Coffee!
Ate in a heated greenhouse. It was 20 degrees outside and plenty warm in the greenhouse. Food was amazing. Service was terrific.
Brunch was perfect. We felt very safe, comfortable and happy
Fantastic restaurant with really wonderful service and great people! We shared the Celery Root Bisque and Brussels and Apples for an appetizer, both were delicious and left us craving more. We then shared the Cauliflower and Butternut Curry for our main entree, highly recommend this one! The desserts were phenomenal too! This is a neighborhood gem, if you are a foodie be sure to add it to your list!
Dined here for the 1st time and not sure why we waited so long! The food ). Great place!
