Dune by Jean Georges Vongerichten @ The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort
We always love going to Dune. Food, service and ocean view along with Live music makes it one of the best places to go in the Bahamas.
The restaurant has an idyllic setting, which would be worth the price of admission. Thankfully, the food and service are excellent: we went twice for lunch in a six-day stay in Nassau. A memorable experience.
This was such a treat! The service was fabulous and the food was fantastic. The servers made sure to call everyone in our party by name the entire time we were there.
Probably the best food I had in the Bahamas.
Great service, beautiful location.
Definitely a place to go back to.
Dear guest, Thank you very much for this outstanding 5* review. What an honor to be rated as best in the Bahamas by you! I shared your comments with the team and they are all glad to hear that their efforts are appreciated by our valued guests. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards, Laura Jacobsen Dune General Manager
many options from the first time were missing this visit which played into the value. also ran out of a few items more than once. spread could be more extensive and varied and impressive. and there should be more mimosa flavors. consistently. two out of the five waiters who served us were stellar, however.

Wonderful!! It was a lovely outing, we enjoyed our brunch at Dune. The food was tasty, the choices wide, the service outstanding, what can I say.... an all around perfect day!

Dinner was spectacular. Service was a little stand off ish
Amazing. Beautiful scene, great food wonderful music and overall a memorable experience!
Amazing atmosphere, wait-staff, and food. A bit pricey but on-par for the area and quality of restaurant. Highly recommended!
Amazing service and great food! Always a good choice
Marelle and Frankie made our night, they were lovely! we will definitely be back :)
An absolute dream! The service and food were amazing! The atmosphere beautiful and views of the ocean were stunning.
We have been to many Sunday brunches over the years, but this just might be the best!
We expected more of a fine dining menu as there were other less formal lunch options in the hotel but were disappointed that the menu was mainly burgers sandwiches and pizza. The food was tasty but not what we were hoping for and really overpriced. The dishes also had no side garnishes eg salad or slaw which I would expect.
Stopped by this wonderful spot while "cruising". Our ship docked in town and we took and easy cab ride there for lunch. ate on the outside veranda. Beautiful views and island location. The menu was simple and elegant. Great service!
By all means try to visit if you can!
Nice spot. Bar service was really slow. They were busy. Food was very good.
Amazing as always!
The food and ambiance was great but the service was terrible. Our waiter seemed distracted and a bit grumpy and our dinner took an hour and 15 min.
I took my wife to eat at Dunes restaurant at the Ocean Club for her birthday and for another Dinner in same week. Food was very good but the service should be at par with food. Waiters need better training to be in a restaurant of this Quality. The service lacked professionalism and was really more on par with diner type services. Not terrible but the waiters really need to be trained. Bringing everyone’s food out together. Not sporadically. Many other little quirks of waiters paying no attention to fine dining details. I just expected so much better service. Food was very good. But there are many very good restaurants on Paradise Island.
My daughter enjoyed a wonderful brunch here on our recent mother-daughter weekend trip to the Bahamas. The elegant buffet featured an extensive raw bar (oysters, shrimp, chilled lobster tails, stone crab claws), a great selection of cheeses, appetizers and salads, multiple hot offerings including roast lobster tails, an omelet station and a traditional Bahamian fish stew. There was also an array of desserts, including a s’mores bar which my daughter loved, to finish the meal. The brunch price included a single mimosa or Bloody Mary - or you could opt for ‘unlimited’ for $20 more. Though by no means inexpensive, this elegant brunch was wonderful, and Dune offers a lovely beachside setting.
Everyone’s food was good except for my salmon which was over cooked.
What a wonderful evening! The setting is perfect with beautiful views. Staff are friendly and very attentive, the food is considered, well presented and delicious. It’s pricey but as our best meal in the Bahamas, it was worth it!
Great food average service when the waiter was around he was nice the setting is beautiful and ambience was great
Food was excellent! From the wine, food to the service! Just as I expected it was a wonderful evening!
Reservation time was not accurate. They were completely overbooked and overwhelmed. Bartenders could care less. Said they didn’t have a wine then did.
Once we sat they brought us the wrong pizza. Then our entrees weren’t hot
Very disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber
It was fine.Food was not up to my expectations this time.
Extremely over priced for what it is. Starter was a buratta salad with citrus which made it bland without the usual compliments to a buratta salad (balsamic for example). You have to order your sides, our Brussels sprouts (all 7 of them for $12) came out cold. They offered us dessert, banana cake which was very dry. My husband had the lamb which was fantastic but the veg that came with it was too salty to eat.
I wrote to the restaurant and a week later, they still haven’t resolved this experience. I wouldn’t be so tough if the prices were reasonable but for a restaurant of this caliber and price, it needs to be better than this.
This is place is hands down the best restuarant on the island. Amazing food with even better views. Highly recommend you dining at Dunes. At the least, enjoy one of their many amazing cocktails at their bar overlooking the ocean.
Breathtaking setting but the food was just so-so. Not bad, but not great. Service was mixed. One of the servers assigned to our table was great and the other inattentive. Prices were astronomical - particularly when taking the food and service into mind.
Very good service!
Excellent service and food! The ambiance was amazing!
I made a reservation here for my husband and I because we love Jean Georges restaurants. Unfortunately this one is not up to par with the others as we ordered the sample appetizers as a way to taste majority of the menu items and it was terrible. 90% of the times were frozen prepackaged testers you get in a local grocery store. Not impressed. The place is beautiful. The service was great. Everyone was nice but overall shame for the price and the name!
Beautiful located on the ocean with spectacular views. Food prepared Bahamian style & delicious. A must to visit & dine!
Outstanding over all, and unlike many of the places we were served at in the Bahamas, this one had excellent service. Ambiance is terrific, you can hear the waves crashing in the distance and there are gas flame heaters throughout. The one thing I would improve is more options for wine by the glass.
I’ve eaten at Jean Georges restaurants around the world and have never been disappointed. Until last night at Dune. Without informing us, they added a 15% tip to the bill, then had a line on the bill for gratuity (versus extra gratuity). They didn’t return the detailed bill when they ran our credit cards. We asked for one and simultaneously added a 20% tip. They came in and swooped up the tab before we read the detailed check. So we ended up paying over 35% in tips! So deceitful.
Best meal of our 4 night stay at The Cove. Took a cab ride there and seriously it was the best grouper I’ve ever eaten!
Horrendous service and environment. Came for an Anniversary dinner. Ended up asking for the bill early and went elsewhere for desserts. I had to walk into the kitchen to ask for my own steak knife after my meal sat idle for 10 minutes. Myself and other diners were visibly appalled at the service. Unfortunately no one cared enough to notice or do something to address it. I don’t mind waiting on a meal, I actually enjoy the experience. I do mind having to track down someone every time we needed anything. Embarrassed that I chose this restaurant for our occasion.
Food was outstanding overall 10
