Lovely restaurant, great service. Our server was Justin and he was awesome! We will be back!
Bad table in bar area.
Wine list very pricey.
Food excellent but expensive.
Parking chaotic and rather rude.
The food was fabulous! A little disappointed that you weren’t serving monkfish anymore but enjoyed the vegetarian plate instead. Being a vegetarian I always look to the sides section of menus to see how many vegetables are available. You have got a good selection, thank you
We love Dune and Auberge and were very excited to learn about the new dim sum brunch.
* Food quality was rather good as usual
* Ambiance is always wonderful
* Dim Sum is false advertising. We love dim sum and every time we travel to Hong Kong it is one of the things we enjoy most. There was not a single dim sum item given to us. Using a cart to bring out food is not dim sum. Dim sum is a cuisine. We were told that at Dune it’s “American Dim Sum”. It’s like advertising Italian cuisine and serving Mexican. Can’t do that. FYI, the table piece of paper for recording Dim Sum items consumed had a picture of the bamboo steamer container which is typical of dim sum.
* Service was attentive but: the promised complimentary brunch cocktail was not offered to us.
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner and the restaurant was tastefully decorated for the holiday, they gave my woman and I a free glass of champagne when we walked in, took a polaroid picture of us, and gave her a rose when we left. The food was to die for and somehow the service was even better.
Everything was almost perfect, until we met our waitress. She wasnt pleasant, social or happy. I cant even remeber her name, nut I do remember her face, she was short blond, older, also short hair. I know it was Valentine's day and she probably wanted to be elsewhere. But that wasnt our probem.
We really appreciated all they did to make Valentine’s Day special... the balloons, complimentary champagne and keepsake photo upon arrival to the fantastic menu and ambience. Our sever Cannon was simply the best ever. This is most definitely our occasion place to go but we’re also looking forward to going back and spending more time at the large bar and having light meals.
Loved the experience, I was having Valentines dinner with my boyfriend, one thing that caught my attention was that the host was handing roses to all couples, and acknowledged my date by giving him a rose as well, everyone was very professional, I have recommended this restaurant to everyone I’ve seen since Friday.
Great food and wonderful service!!
The service was fantastic, the view was outstanding, the food was delicious. We were here for Valentine's days and our server River was great. We were greeted at the door with a glass of champagne and it never stop coming. Every person involved with the service was extremely friendly and helpful to what ever we needed. The view of the ocean couldn't have been better. This is a must place to return.
Exceptional food. Great service. Beautiful ambience.
Had high expectations as I had heard quite a bit about the restaurant. Went celebrating Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend. Service was indifferent at best. Generally felt like we were an inconvenience. Food was ok but suffering from the same affect. Felt like high volume food With no attention to detail, with fine dining pricing. Shame because it’s a cool restaurant and the menu has promise.
This was the second time we have eaten at Dune and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the ambience first rate and the food was beautifully prepared delicious. I will definitely make a return visit next time I am in Fort Lauderdale.
Food and ambiance were excellent. Our server and table attendants were excellent as well, but there was a long wait between our appetizers and our main courses. Although we were seated far from the bar area, the music was loud enough to be noticeable and was inconsistent with the atmosphere. Finally, given the cost of our meals, having to pay for valet parking was inappropriate.
We have been many times. While not always perfect, they try very hard to make it a special occassion. Chef Edgar and Brian continue to do a great job and the new menu is a nice improvement. I think they could be a little more risk taking on the menu flavor wise tho.
Ambiance very nice. Meal was ok but rushed. Valet service beyond horrible. We gave this place a chance after over a year of getting poor reviews from friends. The act is still not together. Will not return until the restaurant turns over, which will likely be soon.
I was pleased to dine again at DUNE, after going twice when newly opened. And that was disastrous with poor food quality, and the worst service in all of Ft Lauderdale, ironically in one of the prettiest restaurants! It was a pleasure to see that turn around. My food was quite good, and the bartender was very gracious and informative. My only suggestion was to have some form of music, even piped in. And the Valet service was a pain. I was asked to immediately go on their text communication. And input my credit card. A lot of monkey business to start a pleasant evening out! I had never heard of such a system....
Restoration hardware decor... with a beach motif and very average food! Awful service. My food was chewy, the wait staff kept interrupting the conversation and was pushy. This is not a Romantic or beautiful place for dinner. There are too many good choices in FLL. Go here if you live in the building. Otherwise, avoid.
Very attractive setting, a large indoor space with varied seating options. Terrific menu options, accurately described and perfectly executed. A very warm and inviting experience, all staff very knowledgeable, a shout out to waiter Tony who was exceptional.
Miy bueno todo!!!! La hamburguesa excelente
I have been to Dune many times but never for brunch, always like the food, however this time I chose from a brunch menu that I found limited, then I see a waiter passing around small dishes that looked better than what I had ordered, similar to the small dishes available during happy hour.
When I asked the waiter he apologize that no one told me about these dishes that he referred to as the conveyor belt type of choices.
Très bonne valeur qualité/prix. Nous y retournerons.
Overpriced wine list. Way overpriced. The dim sum brunch was not dim sum in any way. Sooooo noisy you can’t carry on a conversation. Came for the dim sum but ended up ordering eggs Benedict with crab cakes because it was clearly not dim sum. The eggs benedict were average and the crab cake was overcooked and full of filler. Over $300 for 3 eggs bene. 12 oysters (they were RIs and quite good) and 2 bottles of Chardonnay. They were out of the champagne we wanted to order and ran out of the Chardonnay that we chose instead after the first bottle. $335 and 3 hours. Mandatory valet parking costs $8 plus gratuity. I am not cheap by any stretch of the imagination and I understand that restaurants make most of their profit off of wine and liquor but the wines were way overpriced if they were available. Plenty of servers, hostesses and valets standing around doing nothing. Management obviously is to blame for that...
Excellent brunch the dim sum was so good. Just a wonderful meal.
Everything was great. Would absolutely dine here again
Went in with high expectations. It's Auberge after all. Been to their flagship in Napa. At the end of the meal, I said to my dining partner.....I won't rush back here. I can't think of a more damning indictment of a thoroughly mediocre dining experience. The food was pedestrian and uninspired. The best part of our meal was the wine the waiter suggested and the kushi oysters. We had four other dishes, each with its own issues. Go for the view and the drinks which were fine, if expensive. Don't go hungry.
Other than being seated next to an open door where the wind kept blowing things off the table, the food was delicious and service was very good ++.
Very good meal and service. Michael was great waiter.
the décor and ambience were both enjoyable. The service was excellent and the food exceptional. It was quite refreshing to be served food of excellent quality prepared in such a simple manner. The flavors were all distinct and not distorted with multiple sauces. The texture superb, nothing over or undercooked. The most surprising issue was the check which was quite in line with the atmosphere, food quality and quantity and the quality of service. That is a rarity these days in which novelty and pretension seem to reign.
The only down point was the valet service which is lacking in professional ship and overloaded with staff but not with service
Elegant with no pretensions..
Surprising original cuisine, good mix of spices, but I would prefer that the selection under "seas" remains 100% fish and shell fish instead of being laced and garnished with land animal ingredients......(in 3 out of 5 selections)
Food is okay.......service sub par for an "upscale restaurant". The biggest problem is their valet parking system...........disastrous! Too many other fine dining establishments in FLL where you are not hassled over parking!
Loved the quiet elegance of the restaurant with a menu that seems to match the decor, simple, elegant and really well prepared food! Great accompanying cocktail and wine list.
Our Server I wish I remembered his name was Fantastic!!!!
Great birthday lunch with my boyfriend!
Lovely seaside setting with outdoor sitting area and bar. Love the heir Sunday brunch. The live music could be a bit lower to allow ease of conversations. The dinners we have had were delicious with very good service.
Very expensive. Food was good, restaurant was beautiful, service was great but seriously expensive.
Found it disappointing the even though at least two of the tables for four on the patio had only two people sitting at them, we were told that since we were two (females) - no tables outside were available. We were seated inside. one of those tables remained empty the entire evening.
I've had other people tell me the same thing about how they control tables and got upset - even when the restaurant was - and remained half empty during their dinner - when they asked to add an additional two people. They made a big deal out of it. That kind of attitude is a turn off.
Michael, our waiter, was great almost made up for the attitude of the seating staff.
The view and atmosphere was awesome & cocktails. Food mediocre
Truly exceptional. Service with Aldo and suggestions from tiraderos for appetizers to Amazing Snapper and oysters. Fantastic food service and ambience.
