Wonderful food and helpful staff
Michael is the best server Dune has. Excellent Green Tea shots. Will be returning!!
Food and ambiance were excellent. Only reason for less than 5 stars was due to ho
We went here for dinner and we made a reservation and waited almost 30 minutes for our table after arriving 10 minutes early... We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and informative! Our servers name was Michael and he was absolutely amazing! He made my best friends birthday super special and he ultimately is the reason why I’m writing this review!! Thanks Michael!
Didn’t get our server’s name but he was superb! Very helpful, an all around lovely guy
We had a wonderful experience! Service was helpful and nice, food was excellent and the ambiance is wonderful! Almost feels like you’re in Malibu. Open space that’s perfect for groups or a couple! We loved the Lobster Carbonara, and Stone Crabs! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
The wait was 90 minutes even with a reservation. Unacceptable.
This was our first time and our experience was very pleasant. We would definitely go again.
The food was outstanding. The whole meal was delicious and nicely prepared. The service was lacking and not attentive as I had to search for my server several times just to get a refill of my tea. And $6 for a second glass of tea was insulting. Unfortunately I will not return to this restaurant. At $100 per person for dinner I expect exceptional service and to be treated better than at a Chik Fila.
We dine here regularly. Atmosphere is outstanding! Wait staff is friendly and reliable. The food is consistently good. Menu changes some, which keeps it interesting.
Service was excellent. The maitre de was very thoughtful and sat us in a perfect location! Food was excellent : poke bowl and oyster appetiser fantastic!
You have to try this place for a nice dinner!! The food was SO good. We had the Octopus, Lobster Bocatini and Steak and it was all delicious. Service was super!! We sat outside and loved it. Very intimate. The sun had already gone down but they had pretty good little table lamps to help you see the menus (better than the little tea lights that some places have). Dress a bit on the warmer side though, it can get a little chilly eating outside after sundown even with the glass railings to help block the wind.
Exceptional service. Waiter was great. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. View is phenomenal.
Amazing. Loved everything, the food, the service, and the ambiance was gorgeous.
Easter dinner. Very disappointed that there was no lamb. I had checked when I called to make a reservation for 8 at 6:30 Easter Sunday & I was told that the chef would have Easter specials that would include lamb. Also the online menu included rack of lamb. Because of illness of two of our friends I cancelled the table. Thank goodness! I was bringing 8 people to enjoy an Easter lamb dinner. I would have been so upset. I then made a reservation for my husband & myself to celebrate Easter. That’s when we discovered there was no lamb available. I had scallops & he had a burger. Not the dinner we were expecting. Also, there was a large private party in a separate room which was extremely noisy. Overall we were very disappointed with Dune at Auberge. Beautiful location so I hope they improve their food selection. PH
Have been a few times and seems service has gone downhill. Given the price and location at an auberge establishment I would have expected more consistent service staff at restaurant.
I went to Dune with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The whole experience was wonderful! Food was delicious, drinks were awesome, and the service was perfect! I would definitely recommend dining here for a special occasion. I look forward to going back again!
Always a delicious meal, with great service in a beautiful atmosphere!
Great food! Best view. Excellent service
We reserved a week in advance and they phoned us to confirm. However when we arrived they said the reservation was made for less people and nada us wait 25 minutes even when the restaurant was empty, until I spoke with the front desk manager and she gave us the table.
The service was very bad and slow, the food was ok with nice ingredients.
This is not the kind of service expected in an Auberge du Soleil property.
The hostesses at the front desk should be trained to be more attentive and customer oriented.
It was nice being further away from happy hour guests during dinner
We love Dune!! We dined here the night before and had such a great experience that we came back on our final night in Ft. Lauderdale. The food is fantastic, great service, and the atmosphere cannot be beat. This is great for dates or family dinners. You won't find the spring break crowd here.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere!
The service was non existent. We waited over 30 min seated at the bar for a bartender to wait on us. He was too busy flirting w two young women. Had to ask for a dinner menu three times each time we were given brunch menus.
Our server Sybil was personable, efficient & good command of the menu. Even took us outside for a good photo op. The kale salad, grouper special & diver scallops were EXCELLENT. Highly recommend the carrot cake. High on our list if we revisit Ft Lauderdale.
Gorgeous view and excellent food!
Food was great, service was slow at the end. Not up to par with the standard of this restaurant.
Didn’t acknowledge our reservation or request for outdoor seating. Wouldn’t allow us to sit outdoors even though there were 6 tables open when we arrived and several did not get seated the entire night. I guess they save the best tables for Auberge residents even though we live at the palms. Sat us is the worst location in the restaurant. Waiter was nice but so busy he didn’t check on us often. He also didn’t have any tables in the section we sat in.
Food was very good, service was ok. We ordered all of our meal at once - bread, appetizer, salad and entrees and asked the server to appropriately space out / course our meal. We were brought our cocktails and a long wait went by and out came our bread, appetizer and salad all at once; not coursed out. Our server only came to the table a couple times. Our bread/appetizer/salad plates sat on the table a while before being cleared, same with dinner. For this type of fine dining restaurant, the service did not meet the grade. We were on vacation, looking forward to a nice meal at a beautiful restaurant and were a little disappointed.
We have been to Dune 4 times before this visit. Food, service, ambience all great. However, I booked this reservation 3 weeks ago because we had friend visiting from out of town and wanted to be outside. When we checked in the hostess was very rude and basically said too bad, there’s nothing outside available. It was 5:30 pm! We were seated at a table at the window but there were several open tables outside which were all seated while we were there. I was very disappointed by this experience and we probably won’t be back.
This was one of only two times I wished Open Table would offer a "0" star option to its rating system. This was my third time dining here, and the venue has gone WAY DOWN hill since opening two years ago. The lovely physical space is filled w drunk people in bermuda shorts and is (literally) enforcing almost no COVID precautions. We waited until 7:20 after arriving at 6:35 for a 6:45 reservation. Our (dirty) table was situated outdoors far away from any customers and servers. We waited almost 20 minutes for a wait person to deliver water and take our drink order. The shrimp scampi appetizer was over done (I actually think they microwaved it before serving). My friend's scallop entree was decent, but I ordered the salmon and it was inedible. The broccolini was so over-cooked it was brown. The salmon (also overcooked) was so dry, I had to use a knife to cut it (which really didn't matter in the long run, since I did not end up eating any of it). Finally, the salmon sauce was actually dried on the fish. I suspect the entire entree was sitting under a warming lamp for an extended period of time or also placed in the microwave for re-heating. Our waiter (the one additional time we actually saw him) apologized and comp'd the dinner, but at the price point of this place, I definitely expected a much better food and service experience. Do not waste your money. Unfortunately, there are almost no fine dining venues left in Fort Lauderdale, and while Dune is still "open", it certainly is not one of the few. Very sad.
Delightful food and service!
Best dining experience in Ft Laud these days. Pretty much the only fine dining on the beach. The outside space is lovely. Inside elegant. Service was impeccable and food truly outstanding.
Not over priced for the location service and quality. A place for a special celebration as well as just a date night.
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Dune. Service was poor.
We had brunch on Sunday and were one of the first to be seated. It took the waiter sever minutes to come to our table and was very lackadaisical about follow up service. The breakfast was good, but quite ordinary for such an expensive restaurant.
A beautiful setting with fine food and service. Expensive but worth it.
Great location for a date night. Our server was also attentive and made excellent recommendations. Fantastic old fashion too.
Excellent food and service in an amazing setting. Extra kudos to long time professional server Sybil!
We had a terrible experience with a waiter (named Jack) who was not serving us. He called me a sugar daddy twice and was bothering my girlfriend basically trying to pick her up. I have eaten at this restaurant at least 50 times including large 50 person parties there and never had a bad experience until then. I asked the waiter (Jack) to walk away from our table. The waiter (Jack) then talked with our waiter whose attitude immediately changed to negative. I have never been so insulted in my life. I am not sure that I will ever visit the restaurant again and would recommend others to avoid it.
