From its inception, The Dundee Bistro has been a leader in sourcing fresh ingredients from neighboring farms, ranches and waters, seeking organically produced foods whenever possible. The dining room menu constantly changes. Foods are house made, from pasta to soups, sauces and desserts. Executive Chef Ryan Clark relies on the pure flavors of his prime ingredients: vegetables, fruits, wild mushrooms, lean meats, fish often delivered by the fishermen, herbs from the garden and fresh olive oil. The resulting dishes are light, healthy, delicious and beautiful.

Very good farm to table ingredients use in their dishes. Many organics used too! Very good variety
Nice spot with good terrace. Service somewhat slow and disengaged.
Good, solid menu. Great wine list. Lovely service.
always love this Bistro, bring many business associates here
Our server was friendly & efficient, the food was very good, butter leaf salad was fresh & perfect dressing. My compliant is that we each ordered a glass of wine, $13 per glass. Between the 2 glasses there was the equivalent of one glass of wine. The retail cost of the wine is $24.99 a bottle., so if 6 glasses from one bottle is that equals $78, that is good profit. Charge me what you need to charge for a glass but serve me a glass of wine....not a half glass! Will be back for the food but will not be ordering the wine.
The salmon special was great. The kale salad was very good. The beet salad is delicious as well as the hamburger and Ruben sandwich. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.
A lovely restaurant .great ambiance ..nice food choices made with superior ingredients ...outstanding service. A unique restaurant in a beautiful setting ..outstanding aggogatto.
Hi, We had John, I guess this was his name, for service - great job, great food and great wine proposal. Every time again but we are living in Florida. Highly recommend the restaurant, great fresh made food for a decent price. Michael
Excellent setup and food!
Good food. Catered to my specific dietary needs. Server was knowledgeable of menu and very helpful.
The food and service were both very good. We'll be back again.
Food was good but service was terrible. Lots of attitude. Nice patio though.
We are regulars at the Dundee Bistro and it’s usually one of our very favorites, always bringing friends from out of town there. Tris time I ordered the butter lettuce salad and though it looked beautiful, it tasted horrible. It was very salty and the “bacon” looked like it was out of a bag of Costco bacon bits with no bacon flavor at all, just salt. I think we’ll take a break and try some other options in the wine country for awhile. It made us very sad.
No better over-all quality location to let a day of wine tasting marinate while adding wonderful food. We started at the Ponzi tasting room, worked our way thru wineries, and topped it off at the Ponzi's Dundee Bistro for dinner.
Been here many times, not local but it’s still a favorite. Today my first impression was I was in an old service station. The bathroom appeared clean til I looked at the sink. You know the grey scum that builds up because no one really ever scrubs the sink...... strange to find that in a higher end place. Then saw the upholstery in the dining room. It was noticeably dirty too.
Service was good. After we ordered we heard screaming children from the kitchen area - turns out they were customers?- and two versions of music. One from the kitchen and one for the dining room. That was almost enough to loose my appetite. They did turn it down in the kitchen upon request. However the loud voices in the kitchen and bar area were never turned down. We were eating an early super but not the only people in the dining room and it felt like it was just prep time and the place should have been closed. No awareness of customers in the dining room even though they were preparing our food. Food was good, service was good. Management seemingly nonexistent.
The seasonal specials were terrific as the usually are!
We arrived for our reservation.
We were seated.
We waited 15 mins before anyone came to get us water
Other tables seated after us had water and even bread before we were seen.
My Rubens was what I'd expect from a gas station
Puttanesca had calamari instead of anchovies listed on menu and very little sauce, no chili, more black and green olives than capers. Service was slow on Tuesday. Large wheat tube pasta instead of linguine. Different but not an improvement over classic puttanesca.
Caesar salad with mushrooms and quinoa and bread crumbs instead of croutons, minimal garlic and whole white anchovies, again not an improvement over classic caesar. Romaine was a bit old, dark green and limp, prefer crispy young romaine leaves.
Excellent menu and preparation of the food. Had linguini with prawns. It was excellent although could done without the cream added to the sauce. Very good wine list. Authentic Italian! Will certainly come back next time in the area.
We ate dinner inside the restaurant (and the Patio is lovely too). The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, the food was served promptly and everyone like their meals. There is a good selection of dishes with a range of prices so you can have a traditional white table cloth meal or fish and chips.
And of course the wine selection is great.
Busy at lunch and for a good reason. We were running late and they did their best to get us back on schedule.
Cool place with good food and a great wine list. Repeat customer.
Super nice waitress but needed a little training. Poured too much wine per glass. Used the whole bottle for 4 people...white wine. It got warm!! Told her I would pour the red wine!! Forgot my reading glasses. Inquired if hostess had a pair anywhere. Answer was a resounding NO. Most good restaurants always have a few extra pairs available. Would have been nice to have a fish dish on the menu, or as a special. Only had fish and chips ( fried ) or scallops ( not really a fish )...Otherwise great food and reasonable prices. Will return for sure
I loved my pizza, wife loved her food. Place neeps some updated, felt a trip back too my parents early 90's dining room.
Sarah was our server and she was great! We also feel welcome at Dundee Bistro and the food was and is terrific! All of our guests raves about the pork chop special with braised cherries and the clams. Another wonderful experience here.
Had a slightly early dinner (5:30), and it was not crowded inside, but they may have not geared up for the evening, as service was a bit slower than usual. To compensate, they waived our corkage fee, which was not necessary but very appreciated. Excellent meal really; and we’ll be back soon.
we were visiting from Canada, We had a wonderful dinning experience
We ordered scallops & lamb ragu with the burrata salad as an appetizer. The salad was very nice but the scallops were very salty ( no sweetness to the meat) & the ragu was more meat heavy than we expected. The server did knock $5 off our total after I explained the problem with the scallops. Our wine choice was very nice.
We have been to Dundee Bistro a few times. Nice location. Comfortable restaurant, food and service is just average. They need a more diverse menu. I had airline chicken that was over cooked and dry. There is not a lot of choice on the menu and the prices are high. The servers are helpful but it always seems very understaffed. Long wait for someone to wait on you and to get your food.
They have been so much better. Food and service were very average...
Good food but out of multiple favorites on the menu.
Amazing food, service and wine! Can’t wait to return for a champagne brunch and dinner.
High quality meal with great fresh ingredients. I had the scallops and risotto with tomatoes and squash. It was very good and flavorful. Only three or four small scallops and there was way more squash and tomatoes than scallops or risotto. Could have done with more of one of the stars of the dish and less of the bit players. My wife had a kale salad. How good could a kale salad be? Well actually very good. I’m not a kale salad guy but I enjoyed it as well. Fresh hazel nuts, raspberries, blue berries and Gouda cheese crumbles. Highly recommend Dundee yo anyone enjoying vineyards in the area.
Very nice dinner. Not too crowded, options for seating (in, out, table booth). Service was nice. Rib eye was a little too done, and pizzas very large (way too much, but cant wait for leftovers tomorrow!). Nice wine list, although surprised not more local options by the glass. Outstanding desserts... get the carrot cake!!
We were a bit disappointed this visit after a great visit many years ago to wine country. It wasn't very full inside, yet we were seated by the kitchen next to a family with unruly children. Of the six of us, the lamb sagu, burger/fries and pizza got good reviews. The halibut cheeks on the Caesar salad was just ok--the halibut was fried too much (too bad for such nice fish). The salad part was nothing special and not really crisp enough. Our server though was very pleasant and accommodating.
Food was great as usual. Service was also wonderful. They didn’t have the wine chilled, so that would be my only complaint.
I have always received great service, read that: very attentive servers.
Excellent service and good food!
I ordered the Caesar salad that came with halibut and the salad was so overly dressed it was totally wet and the mushrooms were wet and soggy and tasted terrible.
Beautifully conceived and executed dishes. All three entrees were fantastic
