The service was amazing

This restaurant was a real gem of a place. It was our first time trying it out and we’d definitely go back and are looking forward to another wonderful meal.
The Ceviche was sublime and not to be missed. We also had the Arape which was a cheese stuffed, corn patty accompanied by pico de gallo and guacamole. It was prepared beautifully and served hot and could not have been more delicious. I had the Chiaroscuro cooked perfectly as I ordered and it was served with fried plantains. My fiancé had a red bean and pork belly dish that was traditional Columbian food and we both loved it.

The owner, Maria was extremely warm and welcoming and our server, Sergio was attentive and very pleasant as well.

We’d recommend that one brings a sweater or a wrap as it was a bit on the chilly side at times.

Overall, this place was a quaint and delightful experience in most every way and we’ll be back.

Awesome Colombian food at a very convenient location in Manhattan

On our first visit to Dulce Vida, our party of five was impressed with the delicious and authentic Columbian food and the charming and attentive service. We left very full and very happy. I had the arepa and Tostones Cubierto and found them both perfectly cooked and seasoned. Others enjoyed their empanadas and sancocho (chicken soup). The mango salad was superb. Service was attentive and friendly.

Our server Sergio was great ! I must say outstanding service. He was friendly and kind, and took well care of my guests. I will definitely keep this restaurant in mind next time I am in New York City. As for food it was great, just a tad too small in portion for myself. I would def recommend giving this spot a try !

Only negative was that the heating wasn't working properly, but if they can fix that next time. 5 stars.

Tiny and lovely Colombian restaurant tucked into Upper East Side’s Lexington Ave, easy to find and access. Staff, who seemed to be family, were uniformly lovely. Nothing fancy about the food but it was done well, tasted great, and presented nicely. A good spot for a pre-concert meal, which brought us there. Also it was blessedly quiet, nice Colombian beat very much in the background, and no shouting people! That makes it a standout in my book. The place was, throughout, impeccably clean and comfortably appointed.
