Music was way to loud. Couldn’t hear people sitting across the table from me. I had to yell to get anyone to hear me.
I did enjoy the self serve beer. Good selection as well.
This establishment is really a big bar that serves OK food. The menu is very limited and doesn't really have dinner items. I was surprised to be informed by the server that they do not have any type of hot tea. (He suggested hot cider.) I guess this is a place were you can grab a quick bit, but it seems more aimed at people looking to drink beer or cocktails and hang out. If at some time they decide to expand the menu, they better broadcast it to the neighborhood with fliers or mailers. As it is I am unlikely to return in the future for any meal at this place.
We had a great time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing. We had dinner but I would definitely come back for just drinks.
Great place to eat. Excellent service!!!
I can't say enough about Duke's and its wonderful staff. They were so accommodating, turning the heat up and even trying to move my guest and I when we were cold. The waitress was attentive the entire night and was willing to explain everything on the menu as well. The ambiance was a bit loud but it was brunch time on a Sunday so there were a lot of games going on, so it is to be expected. The food was great as well, especially their quesadillas and steak sandwich. I would also highly recommend the chicken and waffles. The prices are also reasonable so I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I just wish the menu was a bit more expansive but it's my only gripe.
Quality of food is mediocre, but the volume is stupendous!
We went to Duke’s for Bingo as advertised on Facebook and Twitter however when arriving we were told there was no Bingo because of the MLB Yankees playoff game. Furthermore, the server gave us the incorrect bill three times and was not sincere or apologetic for the mistakes. Not a great experience.
If you are ordering drinks and appetizers then is fine. Entrees are not worthy. Tasteless. We order burgers and a sandwich. None of them had any flavor whatsoever. The burgers topping were scarce( 3 little pieces of pickled onion, one fried pickle, two small jalapeño slices and cheese that was yellow cheese spread (no way that was real cheese) Sandwich was more bread than anything.
Stick to beers and appetizers and dine some place else.
I love the original Duke's on 19th, but the new UES location leaves much to be desired. The food is good - everything from the nachos to the salads. However, it is LOUD - even when it's not that busy. You cannot hear the waitress or the people at your table. The service is slow and the food takes a long time to arrive. The AC was on so high, that not only was it freezing, but my hair was blowing with the breeze. They put their better beers on tap on the funky self-service wall. It's more expensive AND glitchy. We've been there 3 times, hoping that they would work out the opening kinks. Doubtful that we will give it a 4th chance.
Food was great I love love love the drinks I will definitely go back again
Loud but fun place. Went on cinco de mayo which added to the noise. Their regular menu has better choices (chicken sliders YUM) than wasn't offered for the holiday. Waitress was attentive but had to yell to be heard.
Overall, fun night and everyone singing along in the restaurant.
We had a horrible experience. Would never go back. Server was awful and shared she didn't even want to be there.
My favorite sports bar as the food and beer specials make the noise and crowds a non-issue. Lots of screens to watch games.
Genuine friendly casual (v fast) service, spacious booth on short-notice Sunday afternoon reservation &/ good picture window street views. Unhurried service, good bloody Mary's. Great acoustic space arrangement to accommodate bar, family friendly dining and private conversation. Would be a regular haunt if I lived in UES
Great food but VERY loud. We made a reservation and they sat us at the bar. It was SO loud, the speakers are next to the wall over the tables, and the kids and I literally couldn't hear each other. We requested to move into the dining room; they accommodated us. It was still loud but ok and lively. The bar server was going to keep waiting uno us but she kind of forgot about us so we kept having to ask.
Overall it was good, the food is great, fattening and delicious, perfect for a night out with the kids. Good puts, I'd go back with them in a minute!
Food was awful. Service was awful.
I have been to this location 3 times now and the service is awful Additionally we were told it was half priced apps, ALL apps, and then our bill had the full amount When we inquired they said " oh only the regular mac is half priced you had a specialty one" Not sure if i will be going back
Come with a hearty appetite -- portions are enormous. The food is delicious, especially the ribs and cornbread. Service is glacial and inattentive (waited 20 min for a water refill), but we entertained ourselves with the Trivial Pursuit cards on the table while we waited. Great location next to the new Q station.
The food was average to below average. Good place to get a beer and cheap finger food
Solid food. Good sports bar
Good for when you are seeking a BBQ fix. Go early if you want brisket though they ran out by the time we got there!!
Service was slow, grits was a bowl of cheese, chicken had gravy which was not noted on the menu
Had the whole restaurant to ourselves and received terrible service. Meals came out one at a time with about 5-10 minutes in between each for a party of 11. Very disappointing experience.
The food was horrible. It came out cold. We had to send the burger back because it was raw even though we ordered it medium well.
It was very expensive considering the quality. I would not recommend.
Good food, fun for kids. Very understaffed on my recent visit. Waitress was hard working and charming. But she was overwhelmed because there were only two waitresses serving this entire nearly full restaurant.
