Lots of Crab, cake not so much, with zesty lime aioli; Voted best Crab Cake in Seattle - 2021
Nothing remarkable. For the prices they charge they should validate parking for two hours.
Good place to have a quiet lunch and if you are wanting Seafood. Remember be prepared to pay for parking.
Always delicious, great service & best Bloody Mary’s around!!
Basic seafood, great setting, outdoor seating was lovely with the harbor and fog. We were very warm with the outdoor heaters.
Restaurant was cold, as was the food.
Service was good.
Diners on the deck with coats on and blankets? Really?
That said the food while being Luke warm was good, very good.
I’ll give you one more chance, just won’t sit by the window!
Wonderful date night with my husband. The staff was nice and they didn’t linger too long when checking on us. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Great views. Staff very friendly. Good food. Clam Chowder & Sourdough bread is the best! Handling the COVID-19 protocols well.
Service was slow and food was meh. Definitely not the Duke’s from several years ago.
Unfortunately, the menu is more clever than the food. It was the collective opinion that the kitchen was taking a lot of shortcuts, especially with the use of more heat and serve convenience foods than made from scratch.
Great location and views suggest a visit focused on salads and sandwiches.
Delicious food & drinks and our server was very attentive! Had a great experience as per usual 💕
We were looking forward to our dinner at Dukes. It had been several years since we had gone. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth the very expensive bill. I will not go back. Great location and view.
We arrived a little early (15 mins) expecting to wait but they were able to get us right in. The service was top notch. Food tasted great. The restaurant is a bit on the loud side, because of the large glass windows to take on the view. We were seated next to a large table with 4 small children that were bored after the meal so the louder they got, the louder the adults became. Not the restaurant fault but there is no sound buffering there.
We were happy to get out after snow. We love going to Dukes and the setting and service were great. Only one disappointment we always get the crap cake and for the first time it was not good at all. They were mostly mushy and filling was mostly mayonnaise or something white and a few strings of crab I think! For $19.50 per cake very bad. Not sure what happened but if this is what they are like now we will not order again. As a Seattle native I have always been a patron of Duke’s so surprised by this.
Glad I could pass this feedback on this way as the service was great and not something I wanted to say to them.
Also the wine event this past fall was fantastic!!
Happy New Year, Kay
Great customer service and food.
Duke has the best recipes for seafood!! And they all have fun names too! We have enjoyed trying several dishes over a couple of trips and you can’t go wrong with the entrees or deserts. But Duke, you need to kick it up with the Caesar salad! You had fabulous crunchy romaine and great cheese and croutons, BUT the lettuce was too wet and watered down the dressing which made for a blah Caesar. DRY the lettuce and kick up the dressing with perhaps more garlic and anchovy paste for an A+ rating. Other than that this place is over the top!
Nice lakeside seating and good seafood
Delicious chowders, crab cakes, and bread with nice views of Lake Union.
Trustworthy Covid protocols, friendly staff, beautiful view!
Felt rushed. Ordered mixed grill and it was pretty weak. Tiny scallops, Luke warm. Was told it was last call by 8pm
Dukes is well known in the area and this was our second time back. Both times we were underwhelmed. The food was boring and with little flavor, service was slow and lacking professionalism. The only positive was the nice table by the window overlooking Union Lake. But that was it… you even need to pay for parking!
Always a "goto" kind of place. great View, very good service and the food is always good. On this occasion 1 out of 7 dinners was under cooked. Dukes staff took care of the dinner. Mistakes happen. We are good and we will return.
Chowder is amazing and the location next to the water is perfect for city lights.
Had a great lunch at Duke's on the outdoor patio. So nice to watch the boats and water birds while we ate. Everyone was very happy with their food. Crab cakes as fabulous as ever, excellent chowder. Thanks, Duke's! Love the new building also with the boat entrance, so fun. Nice to do before going over to MOHAI.
My date and I really enjoyed ourselves, we weren’t able to watch the Christmas boat parade on December 18 but we still had a good time.
Visited for the Seattle boat parade and great food with my girlfriend. Thoroughly enjoyed the food (ribs and seafood mix and chowder sampler) as well as the fast service and good atmosphere. Highly recommend!
First time there~ We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter, Carlos, was attentive, pleasant, and informative. The food was prepared perfectly and so very good. The martini's were excellent! This whole experience was without a doubt truley wonderful! We will be returning soon. Thank you Duke's!
Quintessential Seattle seafood restaurant with atmosphere.
Bday dinner w/ visiting friends.
The food was mediocre at best. Our wait staff was great. View was nice. Unfortunately value ins't really there.
Dukes was recommended to me while visiting from out of state. I was very impressed with the quality of the service and food during my visit. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
The Crab Cakes were fantastic. We have never had better. One of us had the Salmon salad: it was good, except the salmon was a bit dry. I understand that it is frozen this time of year, so I should have expected that. The staff was extremely friendly: it was very busy when we were there, so it took a few minutes to get extras: water, an additional drink. Overall, I would return!
Good food and great service. Way, way too much salt in the food.
Food was great, but the service was not. It was a Monday night, and it seemed the bartender was also our waiter. He seemed impatient with us. The front desk hostess immediately knew it was my wife’s birthday (from notes we had put on our reservation), but the waiter clearly did not. He was not interested, even when I told him. He did not make it special for her. We seemed like mostly an inconvenience for him. Good food, unpleasant service (which is abnormal for Duke’s, as their restaurants are typically top-notch).
The food is always delicious and the staff are spot on with their service. The sourdough bread is heavenly and I could eat it all day.
However I feel the lunch menu prices are a bit steep. Quite steep actually. Maybe they can work on some less pricey items.
Appetizer is quite salty and not enough toasted bread to go with the salty crab dip.
Server was not very attentive and rush.
Asked for additional bread, but never came. Requested for a combo meal, but missing the combo. When asked about it, the server acted like the customer made the mistake.
