I celebrated my 110th visit to Duke’s Seafood since their re-opening last June on Friday with my great friend! I had just been there the night before and two nights before that. Duke’s is my home kitchen away from home. I simply love these guys! I love their VIP club, two happy hours daily, 1/2 price bottle wines on a Monday, and especially the staff. On my birthday I get a free meal as a VIP Club member. When I register my visit I get $10 off $50 and $20 off $100. I celebrate pretty much every special occasion, business lunch or dinner or weekly just because it’s my favorite place to dine all-year-around. I’ve been a customer going on 30 years. I’m so happy they survived closures and re-opened to thrive during the pandemic. I’m a customer for life! :)
Eat here! The food is great and service excellent. Located at lakeside, so sometimes one can get an outdoor table. But if not, indoors is fine also.
Food was outstanding and location on Lake Union can’t be beat. Service was lacking the evening we dined.
Great service, great food and cocktails. :)
We had dinner there as our last day in Seattle. The view was amazing and all the sailboats were out as the sun was setting.
The server messed up every part of our order. One person‘s entrée was brought with the hors d’oeuvres, incorrect items came out, slow and the server didn’t know the menus or what was available on the day we were there.
Mediocre food at high prices unfortunately. Great staff but not worth the prices
We had out of town guests and was truly a great time.
Duke’s is consistently good.
Great view and super selection of seafood. Our server was charming and attentive. Great choice!
It has common items from the Dukes Chowder house that was located in Chanlers cove. This is now further north on Lake Union but still in walking distance. Views of the adjacent marina. Its the same building where the Rusty Scupper was located years ago. Across street from Fred Hutch. Not too noisy and not rushed.
Just had trouble getting the server a couple of times. No big deal!
Slow service, we weren't given menus when we walked in and waited about 15 minutes before someone came to start taking our order. We asked for outdoor seating and we were told there wasn't any available even though there were at least 4 empty seats outside that we were able to see after we were sat next to a window.
I’ve been to Dukes several times and always enjoyed it. On my most recent visit, it took 3 reminders to get my iced tea. I finally got it after my entree arrived and was never offered a refill. One of our oysters from the appetizer had sand in it. We let the person know and did not get a replacement and we were still charged for 12 oysters. Our server was hard to track down and we never got refills and no apologies for the delay in drinks or sand-filled oyster. I was really disappointed at how wrong everything went. I will think twice before going back.
Having a reservation really helped as there was a long wait for a table. The food is outstanding, very fresh and flavorful and cooked to perfection. The names of the variety of dishes on the menu are fun. I especially loved the ability to add any type of seafood to one of their salads. Also, as I am only able to eat very small portions, they offered a way to mix and match separate items - one appetizer with a tiny bowl of a selection of chowders and sweet potato fries on the side.
The calamari was outstanding the best we've ever had!
The atmosphere was nice - laid back and casual with great views of the bay. It appeared to be an easygoing place that would serve burgers and fries but after looking at the items on the menu, I quickly realized this is a high quality place and the food and cocktails proved it! You can't go wrong eating here...I highly recommend a reservation and make it BEFORE the day you want to visit as currently they are not taking same day reservations.
Had to pay for parking, food was expensive. I got the seafood salad the shrimp and scallops we're overcooked. My husband got the fish and chips. They were good but not nearly as good as Spuds and twice or three times the price. Great view though!
Fantastic views of Lake Union. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.
Great food. Crab cakes were outstanding and great service too!!
This was our first dining experience at Duke's on Lake Union. We were seated outside, so the view was spectacular. The service was excellent and the menu options seemed nearly endless. We both opted for the crab cake sandwich (we were there for lunch) and we thought it was very good but could have used a bit more browning on the outside to give it a little more of a crunchy texture. Since we go crabbing ourselves and eat lots of crab, we are kind of picky. The taste was excellent and the sweet potato fries were quite the treat. We highly recommend the Bloody Mary as well!
Between 3 meals, 2 were quite good while one was awful with overcooked, rubbery fish. We sat on the deck which would have been better had they provided anything for shade from the evening sun. Would not return given that are many other options in the area.
Placed Birthday request when making reservation.
Staff server made no mention. Disappointing
Great view, service, and excellent entrees! The Kentucky Bourbon sauce on the Cooper River salon is outstanding!
Servings were tiny. I had a fish and chips and chowder combo and it was a tiny piece of fish with 7 wedge cut fries and maybe five bites of chowder. Service was basically nonexistent-we waited 20 minutes after sitting to be attended to and the server was trying to bolt the whole time. Our meal was extremely overpriced and underwhelming.
Very nice dinner.
Food was perfect!
Coconut shrimp was amazing!
Halibut was cooked to perfection
View Mother Earth gave us was heavenly
Scrumptious food (especially crabcakes!), hungry people having a great time at Happy Hour on the deck or inside air-conditioned (not freezing) special filtered air, perfect weather at sparkling Lake Union amidst lots of experienced, low key people who work there.
No where else is more Seattle summer perfect for families, date night, drinks and yummy chow that gets tweaked/updated.
Although at expanded location, best to have reservations & before the cruise ships & other tourists arrive. Prior cruise ship seasons always had ridiculously long weekend lines circling the building because Duke's has food for most tastes & budgets.
We enjoyed amazing views from the deck, but diner be warned— a party barge on the water nearby took over the atmosphere with loud bass that lasted the duration of our meal. We could barely hear each other at the table. Our server made great food recommendations. Don’t miss the clam chowder!
A little pricey, but well worth the cost. Stuffed prawns were AMAZING and the view on the patio is gorgeous (though you may need your sunglasses at sunset)
Exceptional food and so many choices. Great service. Dockside on Lake Union. Will definitely return at our next opportunity.
Food came out too fast. Food also a bit salty. Average food but price a bit high for the quality of the food
We arrived very early - more than 30 minutes- but the restaurant was able to seat us immediately. Seating was outside on the deck, but in direct sun. We asked to move and were immediately given a spot in the shade. Just right. Servers were prompt in taking our drink orders, and then taking our dinner orders. Everything was served beautifully presented. Delicious food. Waiter checked back with us on occasion to be certain everything was as we wanted it.
A nice relaxed meal, allowing us time for conversation and enjoyment.
I absolutely love Lake Union Dukes, and have been going for years.
The food is spectacular, and the service was wonderful. My friend left her keys at our table after we left, and our server called me to let me know. We were able to pick them up. It would have been disastrous for her other wise. Thanks!
Great location and good food but they rush you! Has a chain restaurant feel. But, overall it was good
The stuffed shrimp was absolutely fabulous. Great view of the Lake Union
