I had a first time visitor to Seattle. There were 3 of us. We were seated by a window with a view of Lake Union. Food was great and our waiter (I'm sorry I don't remember his name) was very, very good. He talked us into a delicious marionberry pie, to my 2 guests (both canadians) it was a first experience with marion berries.
Delicious seafood and fare on the Docks of Lake Union at end of walkway around portion of lake
Great setting. Delicious food!
Great food, great views, and amazing service. Duke’s is perfect for celebrations and any time you just need a great bowl of chowder. The patio dining is the best in Seattle. The spaced tables, the ceiling outdoor heaters, paired with the view and food is 10/10.
Hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to have Ella as your server. They were fantastic!
Best fish and chips!
Duke’s consistently delivers on food, environs and service… and this trifecta is accentuated with great views of Lake Union and marina as well as fantastic parking. Great options for light bites as well as exciting entrees both PNW fish and beyond. And ADA elevator as needed.
Good views, good food, amazing service - the cocktails are stunning, FYI
Good service, wishful for an expanded menu, Bold flavors
We ate outdoors which was lovely though somewhat ruined by a lengthy drumming (20-30 minutes) ceremony at the wedding downstairs. Earsplitting….Great service from staff. My food was only so so given the high prices but it was where my son wanted to go for his birthday and I loved that you had covered and heated seating. He was happy with his food so that was the main thing!
Beware of “extra” major ingredients in the dishes not disclosed on the menu. Onions abound.
We loved our experience! Food was great as was service!
Group of 4 in for Happy Hour/Dinner. Food and cocktails were outstanding (truly) and service was exceptional. I 100% recommend Dukes on Lake Union!
I had the clam chowder and it was delicious 😋. Our niece (whom we hadn’t seen in at least 20 years and lives in California) had the Northern Cod meal that was cooked perfectly. My husband, who is 82 and has lived in the PNW his life, had the fish and chips. He said it was the best he had ever had. Perfect! 👍👍
Enjoying a meal on a lovely fall day on the deck at Duke’s; what more could you ask for?
Wonderful, fresh seafood! The crab sandwich was outstanding! Service was excellent. The outdoor heaters work really, really well.
Will definitely return.
Our server, Ella, was fantastic. We were there to celebrate my birthday and she made sure our dinner was special by giving us a free dessert of our choice (with a candle) and offering to take our picture despite having many other customers to attend to. I also am allergic to gluten and she made sure that my meal was not in contact with gluten. I got the seafood coippino stew, my husband got the grassfed burger, and we got the gluten free carrot cake to share. The view was beautiful. It was starting to get quite crowded as we were leaving, so I would suggest making a reservation
Good was great. So was the view. Service was impeccable. Everyone friendly and helpful. Love the warm bread, and the unchopped salad.tried two different chowder and both were outstanding. Friends loved the fish and chips.
Great service, great view, great food
We like your new building. The food is delicious!
Delicious seafood in a truly beautiful setting (the view over Lake Union is stunning) with great service. Hard to beat and, thankfully, not a touristy place, too.
First, I was accommodated with no problem when I requested seating away from the noisy bar area. When the food arrived -- pretty quickly -- it was excellent. My friend and I both had a special parmesan crusted cod. She had a crab cake appetizer and I had a small bowl of clam chowder. All of it was wonderful. I wasn't able to eat all of the cod just because I was full. Service was generally good, but could have been slightly more attentive. For example I had to wait for a while to request a refill on my margarita. But that was a minor issue. On the whole I would definitely recommend this place.
Spencer made all the difference celebrating my wife's birthday! Food always good and ambiance too.
First visit at the new location, the elevator was out which was unfortunate since I have a broken foot. The Servers were great. The view is lovely. Everyone at my table enjoyed the meal. My dish was a bit salty and (dare I say gritty) on the shrimps. But all in all it was a nice time.
A great setting; good food. The service was rather brusque and rushed. The restaurant was busy and the staff seemed very pressed to keep up. If management is pushing the staff, the stress shouldn't be passed on to the customers, at least not in a place of this caliber. The server seemed preoccupied and in a hurry to move on. I would have expected a more professional treatment.
I paid $29 for a Dungeness crab salad with "hydroponic bibb lettuce." The lettuce was old and wilted, I don't think I ever found the bacon, and the food presentation was sloppy (I would be embarassed to let something like that come out of my own kitchen). Super disappointing, and this place is so overrated. I would not go back for the food, but would consider happy hour for the incredible view.
The food and service were top notch!
Had a business lunch on the outdoor terrace , really enjoyed the food and Lake Union scenic views
We were two couples for a night out together. I sampled the 4 ‘dinghies’ of chowders which were all tasty? The oysters were fresh and delicious! The stuffed halibut and the hazelnut halibut were both outstanding. Our companion who had the salmon pasta thought the salmon was too well done. Our other companion had a scallops dish that was very flavorful. All ingredients and seafood were organic and environmentally safe sourced. Our waitress Ella was wonderful! The view of Lake Union provided a wonderful ambience. Would would dine at Dukes Seafood again!!
Food was good but not worthy of “best seafood” as they advertise. Fish & chips were bland & so was crab cake dinner. Nothing to write home about as the saying goes.
Beautiful setting; great food; excellent staff. So happy we went there!
Don’t waste your time looking for good seafood or the best clam chowder .. dukes is the answer . Dukes all day ! Thanks guys .
Kuddos to the busboy who told me to keep the maple syrup butter from my nosh plate for the bread. Yummy!
