Duke's Seafood - Alki
We had a wonderful time at Dukes. We were seated on the second deck with a view of the ocean which was lovely. The food was delicious - there were no leftovers to be had! The drinks were tasty too (blood orange margarita for the win!) and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. We are looking forward to going back again soon - especially while the summer sun is gracing Seattle.
Wish more peeps would follow the mask rule. Customers, not employees. The employees were all masked up, and great service.
Everyone is doing a fantastic job!! Thank you and all staff!! Everything is clean, sanitized , service is outstanding!! Love downloading the menu!
Food was good but service was terrible. Our server didn't bring our cutlery until we asked for it, brought us bread but no plates. Then brought us the bill even though we didn't ask for it and claimed she brought it because she thought we requested it.
Moreover although restaurants are supposed to observe Covid-19 restrictions, customers in the alfresco area were seated in tables less than 6 feet away from the next table and the restaurant was more than 50% full.
Servers tried very hard to make this a great meal. Salmon for one of us was almost raw but taken care of promptly. Food excellent. Not all customers wore masks which made us a bit nervous.
We were dining inside and it was very draftee and cold. We realize that the experience was due to Covid 19.
Great job reopening. We felt safe, everything was clean. The food was fabulous and the staff was awesome.
Just reopening so i cut them some slack. Not crowded but service was a bit slow and lacking. Had to repeat requests several times and were always waiting for something or another. The food was excellent!!!!!
Ate at the Lake Union Dukes the next day and they knocked it out of the ball park!!!!!!!
Amazing as always! Would highly recommend- never disappoints!
Great seafood. Wonderful wait staff. Missed it during closure.
This was our first public dining experience since early March. We were a family of five and Duke's was our first collective pick to return to dining out. We were pleasantly surprised at how well it went. The food was standard Duke's fare and excellent, as usual. We really missed the bread and clam chowder. The service was exceptional; it seemed like we had every need met immediately and with good cheer. We sat next to the kitchen and were able to watch the efficiency and care that Duke's has put into their reopening. The noise level was moderate but completely to be expected. This is one of our favorite spots in Seattle. We missed it a lot and will be back again soon!
Amazing service even during COVID restrictions. Food came out quickly and everything was delicious!
If you’re looking for fresh seafood, Dukes is the best spot on Alki beach. The service was fantastic as the waiter knew the menu well and was able to help with recommendations. Along with great food ad service, the ambiance is stellar. While eating you can take in the water front views. I would highly recommend Duke’s to others for any dining occasion.
My wife and I were in Seattle for a conference. A friend of ours recommended Duke's on Alki beach -- and we were not disappointed. We took a quick Uber over the bridge and spent a wonderful evening with Brenna, one the friendliest and most attentive servers we've ever had. The food was amazing, especially the chowders. We're from Maryland and we know seafood, but this was a great introduction to the northwest spin. The view of the beach from the restaurant is amazing. We were able to take a nice sunset stroll after a delicious meal. Thank you -- and we'll be back every time we're in Seattle.
food was great but overpriced and our server was AWFUL. He ignored us, spoke over us, and when we asked for a wine recommendation he simply pointed out the most expensive option, disregarding our preferences.
My wife's birthday and we could not have had a better time. Great food, service, ambiance, etc., etc.
Great experience, the quality of the food s amazing.
Good service and nice place.
Great food!! I'm not much of a seafood eater but I came for my wife and I'm glad I did. She is a seafood junkie and she loved it. Pricey, but worth it. Great vibe and excellent staff, from the hostess, servers and even the cooks gave welcoming looks and smiles. Will definitely come back!!
Good location, good food and service. Nice place to stop to eat across the street from Alki beach.
The food isn’t as good as it used to be. When there were only a couple of these restaurants the quality was way better. Selection on the menu was better too.
Great place to dine at. Enjoyed our time and the food was really good.
Nice dinner for Valentines Day.
Dukes has been our goto place for a nice dining experience - we are retired, so we generally go out at lunch. One of the best parts is the service, which is unfailingly friendly and excellent. The food is good, and sometimes excellent. The Valentine menu however had a beet salad with way too much vinegar. We love beet salad, and this one would have been at least average, except for the strong vinegar.
Love the food - fantastic quality and good portion sizes. Excellent location and service.
Server was very attentive and courteous. Great seating area with view of the beach. Will return for dinner next time.
Our dinner for nine family members celebrating a birthday was WONDERFUL!!! Our waitperson was super attentive and thought way ahead of the curve. Our food was perfect for every member of the dinner party. It was the best dinner we have ever had at that location.
This last trip to Duke’s Alki was very disappointing. We had one waitress waiting WAY too many tables. Our chips and salsa took almost 30 minutes to show up and then it was just before the food we ordered. You could see the confusion in the wait staff. The shrimp of the appetizer were lukewarm and the main course fish was over cooked. Definitely not what we are used to from Duke’s. This is the second lunch we’ve eaten here that was disappointing.
Amazing customer service and very clean restaurant!
Had dinner with friends visiting from San Francisco and had good food and great service!
I took advantage of my birthday offer for a free dinner, and chose the cod fish and chips. I shared with my husband the ribs and mixed seafood grill. The fish was moist and delicious, and the grilled seafood had a wonderful flavor. The ribs fell apart and were tender and delicious. I ordered a Manhattan to drink and it was excellent. Our server was fabulous and I liked the ambience and waterfront setting. We will definitely be back.
Birthday Brunch. Everyone was great and it was my first time dining at saltiest.
The only downer was the cooked fish at the far end was dry and hard. Other than that, everything was great!
Love the crab cakes and cocktails. Wait staff super personable and friendly.
Dukes is a friendly restaurant. The food is great, lots of options for vegetarians and non fish eaters. The service was very friendly and patient. They did not rush us, even though the place was busy. The scenery at Alki is the best Seattle has to offer.
Loved it!! Its our favorite place to bring out of town guests.
We visit Dukes frequently. However our last visit on Wednesday, November 20th was quite disappointing. I noticed the dish the next table was having (the ribs and seafood skewers) which looked quite appetizing and I asked the waiter. I ordered that to share with my mother. Incidentally my 88 year old mother was treating us... when the dish came, it was in a large soup bowl.. the ribs were quite burned the skewers (prawns and scallops) were burned as if the grill had not been cleaned.. I know because I cook... not appetizing at all to eat...I did not complain because I did not want to ruin it for my mother and for my husband and daughter. Also my husband's caippino was very saucy versus "soup" I am sorry overall the food and the value was not good at all.... it will be a very long time before we will visit the Duke's establishment. I would have brought the receipt for some form of compensation.... $158 for stale food.... this should not happen now a days...
Love Salty’s - out fave spot - our friends were from out of state and they were really blown away – thanks so much to the chefs and your great management and hostesses!
Love Duke's! It's a staple for me to take out of towners :) My family enjoyed the chowders immensely
Great service very friendly let us enjoy our special time together with our good friends thank you
A must restaurant to visit in West Seattle in terms of best service, scrumptious food and view of the water!
