Food was delicious
Great service, food, ambience! Only frustration was several tables full of very noisy children, but that has nothing to do with the quality and outstanding business Duke's operates.
Service and food is amazing! Prices are a bit high and the interior is older but it's still a fantastic restaurant and we will certainly be back.
Four of us met for dinner & the food was outstanding. our waitress was extremely busy
Always a pleasure to go to Dukes. Wish there was more parking I’d go more often.
Sat outside with a great view of the beach. I had the salmon sliders and the crab cake sandwich which were amazing
Eat with family
We reserved outdoor patio for our birthday celebration but instead we’re seated outside on the sidewalk. Though we had three people assuring us with drinks and orders, it took 30 min for my Arnold Palmer to arrive while everyone else had their coffees and sodas. Two cups of cold brew coffee were brought out when we ordered hot coffee. There was extra charge on our bill for strips when we asked to substitute. Overall it was a strange experience. I felt forgotten at times sitting outside on the sidewalk when we requested patio second floor. It completely changed our birthday celebration vibe. We probably won’t book patio for gathering a anymore though last time we were able to get party of 4 seated on patio. Servers didn’t congratulate or happy birthday wish as customary thing to do. I was little disappointed as we come more often.
I took visiting friends for dinner at Duke's and we ended up sitting on the deck patio with a lovely view. The food was perfect, the view was amazing and the overall evening was magical for them!
Duke's Alki consistently provides great service, top quality food selections, and delicious entrees.
Bit of a line-up at door- with what seemed to be a mix of walk in, pick-up & those with reservations. Combined with wait staff coming in & out of door kind of crowded -& honestly folks were much too close together - most not wearing masks.
Other than that- service was friendly & timely. Food was outstanding.
Delicious, beautiful view, kind staff, and they made my mom's birthday great. Thank you!
Duke is committed to great food. We love this place. It’s well-managed and consistently delivers. And there’s just nothing I enjoy more in Seattle than a sunny day upstairs on the deck eating seafood.
Tonight had the salmon pasta. Pretty sure I’d never tried that before. The salmon matched how well they prepare it for every dish, so that was as expected. What shocked me was how great the pasta was with its creamy sauce and the vegetables they had. Fully cooked but not too soft, they caught me off guard and the texture was as perfect as the flavor of that sauce. Glad I strayed from my normal rotation of about 5-6 dishes I always seem to order (including the burger; my God their burger).
Out of town relatives loved the halibut and delicious Dungeness crab.
Seems to me they are relying on their 2012 ratings. IMO lack of variety in the menu for place claiming to be a seafood restaurant.
The Crab Cakes and Cucumber Mojito were amazing. If you like deviled eggs, I also encourage you to try those (small portion, but tasty bite). Enjoy!
Food and service was great. $12 for a mojito seems ridiculous but maybe I'm out of touch.
We made a reservation but had to wait another 40 minutes to get a table upstairs with the open view of the water. All the tables upstairs didn’t have an umbrella. All in all it was a good experience.
Food was great but service was a little slow.
Would definitely go back, though.
Cool atmosphere - excellent service and did I mention the food and drinks were superb?
Great view. Great food and presentation. Fantastic waiter. What else do you need?
Good food and location with air conditioning on a blistering hot night.
I loved the chopped seafood salad, and the unique small bite options. The drinks were wonderful as well, and a good value on happy hour!
Nice service, great menu, good food. Comfortable air conditioning. Very expensive.
We ordered items we’ve had before and they were just not good at all at this location! It wasn’t crowded, many employees working, and still nobody refilled our waters (we’re in the middle of a heatwave and it’s 105 degrees in Seattle!) and our drink order took forever. The server was nice and new on the job, and it’s not her fault the kitchen was sending out bad food, but she should’ve had more support… plenty of other waitstaff standing around.
Hostess was very accommodating. We were running late due to traffic. I called and they delayed my reservation by 30 minutes which was much appreciated. Food was ok. The fish and chips were bland. A few other people at the table who ordered other items had the same feedback and mentioned their food lacked flavor as well.
Awesome food and outside patio
Went to Dukes Seafood for some fresh halibut. The fish was tasty but portions were on the small side. Their clam chowder is different, prepared with some garlic flavor, but I thought it was good, not great. Service was attentive and the food came out quickly. It’s summertime so there was noise from all the cars going by and the kitchen noise projects into the dining room.
Duke's on Alki in the summertime! Iconic, especially if you can get a table upstairs on the upper deck. The food is always delicious...our summer favorites are the salads and my favorite of the salads is the Unchopped Seafood Salad (chopped, of course).
Delicious food, wonderful staff, and seated promptly on a sunny day since made a reservation.
Father’s Day dinner! Great food!
Honestly, best seafood we had in Seattle! Service was great, we were able to enjoy our meal outside. We were there during non-rush hour and and the restaurant was fairly busy - after tasting the food, I understand why! Definitely worth it.
Great food - freedom to eat without masks - excellent service
Fun experience for Birthday on the Alki beach
Birthday dinner. Enjoyed the Duke’s Cheeseburger. Generous portions well prepared. Nice view even on a rainy evening.
Our server apparently was having a memory problem that day. There were five of us. Three of us got our drinks served to us the other two had to ask for their drinks again. We were never asked again throughout the entire meal if we wanted a refill. Three of us received our meals at the same time. One of the three of us actually got something they didn't order but they left it with us anyway. The other two people did not receive their food. After waiting a half-hour we called a different waitress over who then retook the order and placed it. After an hour from the original order the two were served their meals. One of them specifically asked for no onions. They're Burger arrived with onions. I mentioned that there were five of us at the table we asked for bread we were given four pieces. That should probably sum it up for you. I would not recommend this location again. The unfortunate thing also was four of the five were here from California on a visit. I'm sure they would never recommend this restaurant as well.
Bottom line: come for the chowder - stay for the seafood. Really, the chowder is so good they give away the recipe. But other dishes like the Unchopped Seafood Salad are just as tasty.
Price-wise, it's definitely a special-occasion destination as cocktails start at $12.50. And if you go in summer, expect the Alki Beach ambiance of cruising cars and pop-up buskers. But the staff are great, and flexible: we wanted a table further away from the noise of the kitchen and ended up outdoors under a heat lamp...it was perfect.
My wife and I went here for our first year wedding anniversary and noted the event in our reservation. We showed up and we’re seated at the table furthest away from the window view we wanted, by the kitchen. We were rushed through our first year anniversary dinner in 30 minutes. Just an overall awful experience for our one year anniversary.
We had super service by waiter named Tim. Great food and great service.
Great service great food. Too loud for the business meeting though.
