when we first walked in, the noise volume in the main dining area, where our table was, was enormously loud. You literally could not hear yourself think, let alone speak! Thankfully, our server was able to find us a table in a back patio area, that was enclosed with plastic walls and had heaters. Here, we enjoyed a very good dinner in peace and quiet!

Our reserved table was not ready. Nice kids with little experience as waiters. The $35 black cod entree was very disappointing. A chunk of bland fish with rubbery black skin served in a bowl of exceedingly salty brine. That brine was not edible. There were various onions and green beans in it, too. Should have has the $25 (cough) hamburger. 2 dogs in the dining room...well behaved. Place is clean and tidy. Has several EV chargers. Perfect spot for typical Marinites. I used to love this place long ago when it was the Olema Farm House. It was laid back and served the terrific "Giant Farm Burger". Now, its a typical pricey Marin yuppie mecca, like all of Marin. Oh well, the countryside is still gorgeous, albeit mobbed on any holiday or warm weekend.

The four of us all enjoyed our food. Down home food. Service was good too. And the back patio is such that it feels you are eating out in the country.

The food was just OK and overpriced. Wait staff was good, ambience was good. Live music on the evening, I dined there. Salad was good but fish was overcooked, I was starved, so I didn’t make an issue about it. My wife got the chicken and that was good. I didn’t come all the way to Point Reyes for the food anyway.

Liked the restaurant physically. Service was good and food was okay. Wish there were more vegetarian options. Our mojitos were strong but did not taste great. Would order beer next time.

We love this place. Very much. Been coming here for years. This was our first time back post-pandemic lockdown. Same old atmosphere, same level of service, same wonderful menu. The only reason we don't give all 5-stars is that the food was quite uneven the day we were there (my wife, me and another couple who'd never been before). Calamari? Magnificent. White fish dip? To die for. Mussels & clams? Excellent. But my wife's fish and chips? Batter was terrific, the fish inside, though, was the consistency of mush, w/out any flavour to boot. 2-stars at best. Chips were only so-so...in fact, no one had more than a couple chips from any of their meals. Sausage platter? A-OK, but two tablespoons of lacklustre sauerkraut? Not worthy of any more than 3-stars. We'll be back again, not to worry...we love this place, but there IS room for improvement. Keep at it, see you soon.

We were thrilled to have a nice restaurant next door to the hotel that we were staying at in this remote setting! The idea being that we could have a drink or two and not have to worry about driving back to our hotel. The staff members were friendly. I noticed that they were always working and not sitting idle though service was slow. One busser in particular was working very diligently. I noticed the hostess helping to dry glasses behind the bar. The food was good. The cod and oysters were very fresh and prepared nicely. I was thinking...then the man sitting next to me verbalized the same thought...the cod was beautifully cooked but really bland. The fennel broth was nice, but the broth wasn't touching the fish and there were too many undercooked potatoes. My husband said that the fish and chips were okay. He didn't care for the fennel slaw. I think with a little more seasoning or imagination both dishes would have been very good. They were both fine...just no wow factor. I got a kick out of the kids in the restaurant who struggled to choose something off the menu. (No kid-friendly options) They tried new things! Hooray! We enjoyed their Paloma drinks too. Nice place! I'd definitely return as part of my stay at the Olema House.

The best restaurant to get away and enjoy some fantastic food. Due West is our favorite restaurant in the Bay Area!
