Really good food. Daren was a great server! I’ll definitely be back.
Our server Wanda was great! We also enjoyed speaking with Peter Morrison. The Trout may be the best I’ve ever had.
I was disappointed that the maitre d- did not come around to our table to inquire of our experience. He walked around to every table except ours. He was wearing a tuxedo outfit!
Wonderful service and atmosphere! We loved our waiter, Fish!
Good seafood menu - Dining partner had the fish and chips and she said the fish was really good. I had the ribs and they were not too fatty - nice amount of meat on the bones.
The service was really good. Our waiter was attentive and responsive. He made great suggestions and food selection.
The food was good- a decent meal. It was not outstanding but it could be what I ordered. Definitely will return to try other entrees.
Celebrated my daughters 14th Birthday! The restaurant is very nostalgic in the decor which was very fun. The service from the time you are greeted, seated and served is amazing and friendly! Beth was our wait person and was very familiar with the menu, specials and mimosa flavors! She was friendly and engaging, we had a party of 10 the service started out quick with drinks and apps but the meals took a little longer but was well worth the wait! Given the state of the world we were ok with the wait and it allowed us to catch up! The food, the cost and the ambiance are great - you should totally check them out and we will be back! 👍🏽
I was disappointed in the Mac and Cheese. All Mac with little cheese and seasoning. Overall the rest of the food was great.
The staff is friendly. The food came out quick. It was alright.
Best restaurant in PTC. noise level was not D S fault. Rude patron drinking too
much and talking on her cell phone
LOUDLY, 3 tables away! She should have been moved to bar area! RUDE
and inconsiderate. Thank goodness for ear plugs.did I mention it was 1:00 pm?
We both had the encrusted trout. Absolutely delicious!
Our waiter was nice and very polite. The food was good not hot as usual. I believe the restaurant was short staffed based on a large party. Simple touches like refilling water and routine checks. One of my favs in PTC - I will be back of course!
Enjoyed Fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were great. Loved the sauce and goat cheese. For my entree I chose the trout. Very tasty. Cooked just right. I enjoyed the sides paired with the trout. I would recommend this to anyone.
The soup was the best part of the meal.
The Bar-tender was fun. The web page showed better than the actual restaurant decor. If we came back it would be for the soup.
Great place for a quiet date night with my wife. Super ambience, Wanda was amazing, dinner was fantastic
I absolutely love this restaurant. Typically I visit during Friday for a late lunch after work however this visit was for a business meeting with out of town guests.
Our server was excellent, attentive and friendly. He made several recommendations what were well received by the members of my party. The food was excellent, flavorful and piping hot.
The restaurant was quiet and the perfect location for an early evening dinner meeting. My guests raved and the breadth and depth of the menu and flavors and were quite impressed. Well done Due South!!
Great food, great service and strong drinks.
The ribeye special was amazing! Our waiter Carlos was THE best!
Good food and service although I was surprised that the birthday celebration I had mentioned in my reservation wasn’t acknowledged.
This was a very subpar dining experience. I was really excited to go since reading the reviews and because it was up the street from our previous activity. The hosts were nice and they didn’t sit us next to the restrooms or kitchen (as requested). Our server was nice enough but the food was below our expectations. Out of the 4 of us we ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees. The hush puppies were decent but the fried green tomatoes (my go-to appetizer anywhere I go) were absolutely disgusting. They covered each tomato with a ranch and pesto sauce. Even after scraping it off, we could barely eat it. Next, none of our entrees had any seasoning. I’ll just leave it at that. And to top off our subpar experience, we noticed that their health score was an 80 which was displayed by the restroom in the back of the restaurant, instead of in the front (like most restaurants). Had we seen this upon entry, we would have left. We will never return or recommend it to anyone we know.
Great waiter!!! Made our experience great
The food was absolutely AMAZING! Carlos was our server and HE WAS AWESOME! Definitely recommend all who can go there…everything was delicious
Monthly lunch with my sister. We have dined here 3 months in a row. We keep saying we will try someplace new and then we return. We always have the oysters due south, but tried the she crab soup this time. Best she crab soup I’ve ever had. This place makes it hard to try somewhere new.
The restaurant has a great ambiance. It's very clean and service is great and the food is great!!!!
Due South did not disappoint. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we pulled up. But once we walked in and was greeted. It got better and better from drinks to hors d’ oevers to dinner. Was amazing, everything was fresh . Will definitely be back.
The ambience, service & food were great!!
Excellent food and service!!
They worked with us even though we were late and they were overbooked. The service was awesome, timely and very responsive . Food was as expected and remembered from a previous experience years ago. Keep up the good work!
Just another Friday night and we we’re looking for something local to eat. We we’re greeted and seated by a friendly staff. I wasn’t exactly excited that most staff wasn’t wearing a mask! My waiter was very helpful with suggestions. We order the scallops and the crab soup and I was disappointed!! I ordered the ribeye steak cooked medium & my husband ordered the fish. Again, I was disappointed with the food. Southern food says to me the food is going to be seasoned and flavorful! But, in this case the food lacked flavor and salt. I have to be honest this was also the 1st time I had a ribeye was very tough.
The food was very bland. Even the blackened mahi-mahi mahi was lackluster. The trout didn’t even seem to have salt and pepper on it and the mushroom zucchini risotto did not have any Unami flavors that would have been expected. The collards were average similar to what every basic southern cook could pull off. The food was warm, but not hot. Overall I wouldn’t recommend and we will not be returning. On a positive note the waiter was friendly and attentive and we did leave a nice tip for him.
Food was very good and service great! Recommend trout dish.
Lunch with my sister, great service, great food.
Great experience the staff was great and very friendly. Food was delicious and definitely a good value.
The food was good but the shrimp and grits portion was small for the price.
Six of our ladies' group celebrated 3 birthdays on Sunday at Due South. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and dinner tremendously! We had she crab soup (outstanding!), ahi tuna appetizer, crusted trout (also outstanding!), salads with grilled or blackened shrimp, fish and chips (enormous portion!), and the fish sandwich. Then we were treated to dessert for our birthdays. We all chose the chocolate molten lava cake with ice cream - scrumptious! Wanda, our server, was a delight - great sense of humor! Highly recommend dining here.
This place never disappoints! Amazing staff and food.
The food was good but could use more flavor in everything. The gator tail was the best in my opinion! The oysters were good as well.
Everything was great, food, service and value, but the dinning room was a little dark (lights too low.)
