Zero complaints. Amazing food and service.
Oysters not great, entrees ok and lots of gluten free choices which were very nice. Excellent server.
The overall service was fantastic. Each and every course looked amazing too!
Food and service were outstanding. A little loud though but that's to be expected when there's a full house. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
A flawless meal as usual. There is no better restaurant in the New Brunswick area at any price. Atmosphere relaxed and friendly; food is of the highest quality and prepared with skill and delicacy. Never had a bad meal here or even an average one: always top shelf.
Food is outstanding
The whole experience was disappointing. We arrived early for a drink at the bar, bartender was very nice but couldn’t deliver the beer my husband wanted (they were out of it) he ordered a different one and the 2 nd one they couldn’t get because the gas wasn’t working. The menu was also disappointing very limited. We would never go back.
Have eaten here several times. this is the first time i was disappointed. prices seemed higher and portions smaller
Very nice restaurant for a relaxing evening out. Little expensive but knew this going in. Enjoyed the ambiance of Due Mari.
The Friday Special seafood platter is fantastic.
The environment is a little bit nosiy. It is so hard to find a parking spot on Friday.
Excellent and inventive dishes. Wonderful tastes and fine service.
First time dining here prior to theater. Nice pre-fix option. Best beet appetizer! Mushroom soup was fabulous. Homemade pasta course with bolognese was outstanding. Scallops were very good, nice sauce and good size, tender!
Nice choice of wines by the glass, but a little pricey!
Easy walk to theater---better dining experience compared to the neighboring restaurants at State Theater!
Celebrate my graduation
Very nice place , elegant and open space, food was good, and well presented, service a little too slow not sure if they were underhanded, but it took awhile for the food and dessert to get to the table. Will try it again for dinner
Due Mari’s is our favorite restaurant in New Jersey. We always choose it for a special occasion, which include birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas Eve and in this instance, retirement. As always, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Your staff is always knowledgeable and just attentive enough. Ambience was relaxing and pleasing. We look forward to our next visit.
Service was below par for a fine dining restaurant. Food was very good
Don't come here too often but when we do, the food is excellent. Service is quick without feeling rushed. Wait staff and bartenders are very friendly and accommodating.
Delicious contemporary takes on classic dishes. Wonderful homemade pasta. Great trendy decor. Fun place to sit at the bar for a drink or casual meal
At my suggestion I took my wife and son here for dinner this past Sunday. After having just eaten at the Frog and Peach the week before, I can safely say my experience here at Due Mari far exceeded my experience there. We were so happy we chose Due Mari. The 4 course dinner was superb as was the impeccable service. We will return there soon
We came in for the first time and loved it. It was classy, romantic, and the food was outstanding. Beautifully presented and tasted great. Would definitely go again !!!
Food was great. Lamb chops and Long Island duck were fantastic. The appetizers were also very good. Only criticism was service a little off. Waited for bread, a little unorganized. But pleasant wait staff.
Such a high level of service. We really enjoyed our visit. We had a window table which makes nice viewing. We shared a strawberry bruschetta to start. That was followed by the black ink pasta..yum! Dinners were veal with burrata and scallops. Both delicious!
Among the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood.
Always a winner
Wonderful service on Easter. 1st time here and everything was delicious. You must try the corn-flake crusted French toast. To die for! Everything was honestly delicious! Will definitely be back again!
Excellent food. We went for my wife's birthday. It was the night before Easter so the restaurant was relatively quiet with just a few customers.
We opted for the pre-fix menu for $65/per person, which included appetizer, pasta entree, main entree and dessert. Everything was outstanding! We could not even eat our desserts we were so full so we took them with us.
Nice ambiance and excellent service.
We would highly recommend for fine dining for a relatively good value.
Good food, overpriced.
Loved the duck chops!!!
I brought my girlfriend here for my one year anniversary and had a wonderful time. It was the first day of the the spring menu, and the service team was very transparent about that, being that they were getting used to the new menu and the guests may experience a wait. All in all, my girlfriend and I will definitely be back, as we'd like to see what the experience is like at the bar. Can't wait to return!
Service was disappointing. It appeared they didn’t have enough staff.
Nice dining. Food was very flavorful. Nicely seasoned. Relaxed atmosphere. Just a tad long on the wait between courses but otherwise it was a nice dining experience.
I enjoy nice restaurants and dont mind the price tag so long as the service and food are justified by the price. This restaurant delivered on both. We even stayed after dinner and sat at the bar enjoying the bar tenders company while he tried to impress us with his skills. His cocktails were better then dessert. The only down side to this pleasant evening was the fact that we picked this place because they had live jazz music. They were really goood but barely played more the three songs.
Service and meal options are consistently well presented/tasty. The tablecloths and napkins are sparkling clean. The wait staff works efficiently and pleasantly. Most of all Due Mari in New Brunswick, NJ is a sophisticated dining experience that I enjoy introducing to friends frequently.
Reservation was confirmed via email and automated text - which I like. We were seated on time. Although it wasn’t too crowded and we were not in a rush, it still took the waitress 10mins just to greet us. No explanation of the menu and the waitress didn’t check on us much. We had to ask another waiter for bread and to pay for our meal. Excellent food, atmosphere and cocktails. Definitely coming back to try some appetizers, Branzino entree (looked great) and give the staff a second chance. Prices were moderate: average of about $40pp with a drink.
We went to the brunch and the omelette was delicious and came with great choices so up to 4 items such as shrimp, crab avocado and many others. It also came with great potatoes and some fruit. We ordered a side of bacon which was thick cut and very good.
first time back in long time. even better than i expected
Ordered the prix fix dinner. Everything was delicious! And even had leftovers!
Waitress took our order and disappeared. The "price fix" menu was over priced for what you got. The martini's were "Manhattan" prices. The first check we received was not for our table; the waitress was very contrite and just crumpled the check in front of us. The next check we received included $43.00 worth of deserts that were to be included in our price fix dinners. There was no apology or explanation for this mistake. The final check was delivered by someone who didn't serve us. We asked for our waitress but was told "she is busy!" The entire experience was a "bad taste" in our mouths. We will ever return and never recommend this terrible restaurant. This was the most expensive dinner we have ever hard for so-so food! Any questions?
love this place! good food and service time and time again!
The clam dish did not have clams in it. The wine had lint in it.
