The duck was decent, but overpriced. The cheese curds were fantastic however.
I have been here 3 times and every time it is amazing. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago.
I would highly recommend it.
Terrific in every way
Innovative delicious cocktails, solidly good food. Always love the Japanese duck wings. Server Gael was easy and accommodating. One of my faves.
My family was visiting and we came here for dinner. We loved the cocktails. We had the duck family style and it was perfect!
My wife and I really enjoyed it. We loved the garden. The octopus pizza is a must. We can’t wait to come back.
One of the best restaurant patios in the city. Wonderful staff, good vibe, great food.
The back patio is wonderful. The food and service were both outstanding.
Food sequencing was off - wife finished her meal before mine arrived. Unlike duck inn - long time diner there must be something off / different with the back of the house. No one likes to sit and watch your spouse eat waiting on the other’s food. Food should be fired in a sequence that has both parties meals arrive at the same time - basic.
Delicious meal. Server was smart, efficient, and unpretentious. Strong vibes. Can't wait to eat out on the patio one day soon.
We tried the rotisserie duck, and it was superb. Food is always great.
The Duck Hash is the best dish I’ve had there. The duck is Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Can’t wait to go back. French toast and the duck sope are also very delicious.
Great take on steak and sopes. Their salmon & avocado on toast is one of the best I have ever had. Awesome 5 star service.
I suspect they lost their chef over the Covid-period. The food used to be spectacular. It is now just "good." Their famous hamburger sandwich is off the menu. It has been replaced by a glorified Big Mac (double patty with a mayo concoction). We didn't order the duck this time so I cannot say whether that has lived up to prior standards. Overall, we had a good dinner, but what made Duck Inn special seems to have been lost.
Awesome food, terrific waitstaff. A bit crammed and loud but that was expected. Will absolutely be back
Always a standout meal with an ‘at home’ feel! Never disappoints.
My first time. Simply an amazing experience, front to back. The duck was everything I had hoped for!
Great food, exceptional service, delicious drinks! Highly recommend!
Celebrated our anniversary here loved it.
The food was excellent, particularly the rotisserie duck and the farmers salad! The duck fat fries are also very tasty and the service was superb. The one downside? The music, which was way too loud, even in the lush and lovely garden. I would give this restaurant 5 stars if not for this problem. Totally unnecessary!!! (And in fact it was not so loud last time we were there, so maybe it’s hit or miss)
Our server was amazing!!! Can’t wait to come back!
Outstanding service and food! Highlight of the night!
Duck Inn is the total experience: great cocktails, delicious food and fantastic service. My friend was not interested in the cocktails on the menu and the bartender came up with one based on her preferences/likes, and she was over the moon with how good it was. Our food was amazing, and the service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely return.
Great neighborhood place. Everything was perfect.
It was ok. Dishes are incredibly overpriced in my opinion- the value was really lacking for me. $18 for a bowl of gnocchi that I would price no more than $14, $12 hot dogs that were marked as $10 by the door, etc. However, the duck wings and fries were great and worth the charge. Drinks were strong, but not worth $14 a piece.
The staff is attentive, but because there are no specific servers we ended up getting asked the same questions a lot- I think three different servers tried to take our order and within a 5 minute time period I was asked how everything was by as many servers.
The ambiance is nice- reminds me of an older lodge or grandmas house or something. Would have preferred outdoor seating but that was closed.
Lastly, everything kind of felt rushed. We were in and out in about 50 minutes, and despite spending over $120 pretax, I still left kind of hungry.
All in all, not a bad spot, glad I tried it, but I wouldn’t visit again unless I knew I wasn’t fitting the bill.
The roasted whole duck is amazing. This is the second time we have eaten here, and it has been great both times. Good desserts too. Service terrific.
Delicious as always. The duck is always a favorite and we bring new diners in to experience the deliciousness. Drinks are always exciting.
Always a nice experience dinning at Duck Inn Chicago. Food is good. Drinks are alittle expensive but also good! Indoor and outdoor dinning! Strongly recommended!
The rotisserie duck was the best thing I’ve eaten as far back as I can remember. Excellent service. You have to order the duck in advance and it’s well worth it.
The menu was unique and made me want to try everything. My kids enjoyed their French toast. We had the duck BLT and the McDuckin, soooo good!! Highly recommend this hidden gem. We will be back.
Very nice restaurant clean light 💡 is low is looks relaxing food was delicious a bit pricey but good wish they had more beer options
Birthday dinner for my fiancé
Excellent food with lovely outdoor seating. We ordered the duck wings, garden salad, asparagus, octopus, and fries, and all were excellent, in particular the wings, octopus, and salad. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly wait staff, and I believe the cook came out to greet us :-) Best place we've been to in forever!!
Delicious food and amazing service!! The Duck Inn is my go-to for celebrating any special occasion.
Our server was excellent: kind, patient, and fun.
Food was perfect: such a creative menu and everything we chose was cooked perfectly and full of flavor--duck hash, duck wings, burger, DBLT.
Our server wasn't very interested in us. Stopped to speak to owner b/c I live next door to his sister and he was very nice.
Another perfect meal. Loved the octopus, ceviche, and of course the rotisserie duck. Cocktails were outstanding.
Great customer service.
Interesting menu choices, very eclectic
Lovely garden atmosphere
Very knowledgable , attentive service
Very good food and service. Now that Chicago restaurants are starting to open up people are coming out and enjoying themselves. Duck INN has indoor and outdoor dinning available. Strongly recommend a try!
