We came to celebrate our daughter’s 24th birthday and had a lovely evening. We all chose items from the specials menu and found the choice of wine and drinks for the men in the party good. It was a warm evening and both doors were open to allow air movement, this was very pleasant. Service was great, really attentive and friendly. Thanks for a lovely evening.

2nd visit to Duck Goose in a week and both times were outstanding!!! The food is exceptional and the service and atmosphere is great!!! Thoroughly recommend dining here!!!

My first visit to DuckGoose will not be my last. Absolutely loved it. The decor and quiet ambience makes it a place where you can enjoy a meal without overly loud music which seems to happen in many places I’ve visited lately. Love the “ qwerky” features. The monocle/looking-glass attached to the table is an amazing idea for those who forget their reading glasses! Genius! The bookcase door to the basement area is also a fab feature. The staff were really friendly & the service was excellent. The menu choices were fabulous. Main, specials & lunch-time lite-bites all at great prices. We had the Cumberland sausage/ goat’s cheese sour dough sandwich with fries. Can highly recommend this. One of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve had for some time. I think this “little gem” has become my favourite eatery! Hope to visit again very soon for an evening meal or Sunday lunch.

As this a family affair and the food is cooked freshly, do not expect a quick turn around. Having said that, we liked the light bite option for lunch time and the food is very good.

We have been to Duck Goose a good number of times now and taken friends and family on our recommendation of the menu and its quality.We have always found the staff efficient and service good,however I have two gripes to mention. One ,it would be nice if staff made an effort to welcome previous customers back and maybe a chat a little to set the mood.And two, when booking our last visit the on-line form asked me if the booking was a special occasion and if I had any special preferences in which I entered two.What is the point if none of my requests were acknowledged when arriving at the restaurant? ( the booking was for my wife’s 60 th birthday) and I felt this oversight dampened the evening somewhat and left us feeling disappointed. In summary we have visited the Duck Goose enough times now to confirm the food is good along with the service.However simple niceties enhance any culinary experience and cost the restaurant nothing. Unfortunately it may be a long while before we visit again .
