Food and service was great. Thank you!
The duck confit was so crispy and delicious! My date's dish (lamb chop) was ok. However, overall the food luck balance- there was too much grease and starch and NOT ONE green / leafy accompaniment to counter how rich the food was. My date also ordered the mushroom risotto and it was terrible- some sort of rancid oil soaked crumb was spread on top that made it taste very off putting. The risotto is filled with meat (duck?) that is unnecessary if you want just a mushroom dish. He didn't want to send it back thinking he might actually eat it, he didn't. By the time we said something to the waitress, her only response was "oh, I'm sorry," but didn't offer to take it off the check, which is what I expected. I didn't want to press, as this was our first date. I'd go back for the duck and order a salad next time.
Lunch/Brunch on a Saturday. Not busy, we were the only table inside. Waitress was nice, but still learning the rhythm of day shift(told us she normally works dinner service). Atmosphere was cute and clean. For a pretty empty place the food and drink took longer than normal to receive, but we were not in a hurry, just hungry. We started with a cheese board, that was excellent! Then we ordered the DDG burger & Cote de Boeuf. We added the Fois Gras to both. The Fois Gras was not delivered on the Cote de Boeuf. That was brought shortly after we told them it was missing. We also ordered rare and it was very chewy. They cooked to med rare and it was much better and softer. So if your looking to get it rare don’t. This meal was being shared by 2 and had to ask for plates, then steak knifes.
For my DDG burger, it did not have my Fois Gras had to ask for that too, then had to wait for it to be cooked. Once I got it and put it together the burger was excellent! But everything should have come out together and not have to wait for it. The chef/manager did come out to speak with us, told him our issues (mostly about the cote de boeuf )politely, he said the meat recommendation is med rare, listened and thanked us for being there.
All in all...I would go back for the burger and atmosphere. Our server was very nice, but it definitely was not her normal shift. For an almost $400 lunch, they could have at least comped a drink.
Odd decor and music but fantastic food and service!
We had such a great experience at Duck Duck Goose. The service we received was exceptional! Ronnie was so accommodating and aimed to please. Along with the great service the food was delicious. We are so happy we finally tried this establishment and can’t wait to return!
We always have a great time at Duck Duck Goose. The servers and all of the staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, fresh and served quickly.
Loved Duck Duck Goose! The location at Fell’s Point was really great. The Duck Confit w/ Foie Gras is an absolute must! Also the bread pudding was excellent. Drinks, service, food were all top notch. Will definitely be going back!
The food was great and tasty. I ordered the beef duo and the beet salad to start. Also got the foie gras added to both orders. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything tasted great. Service was also on point and they made sure we had everything we needed.
Sat on the heated patio for the first time and it was really cute and a nice vibe! I would say the service wasn’t quite what we’re used to pre-pandemic but I give them credit for managing well through what was probably one of the busiest Saturday nights since the pandemic. We still love the food and are looking forward to seeing them make a full comeback and extending the menu further. Highlight of the meal was champagne and croissant bread pudding!
It was our first time at Duck Duck Goose and we will definitely be recommending it to our friends. We are getting married at the Four Seasons in May and wanted to try local restaurants to recommend for out of town guests. The beef tartare was amazing as well as the scallops, risotto and duck. Our waiter was a delight, and gave great recommendations. We can't wait to go back.
The food was incredible! Service awesome!
Get the bread pudding!
Really delicious meal, all three of us were happy with our courses. Standouts were the branding and risotto and cauliflower steak. Good cocktails (and mocktails!) and good wine list. Lovely courtyard in the back :)
Unique, delicious food! Awesome drinks! Great service!
Generous and attentive staff and delicious food. Highly recommend the burger and the beef tartare
Best lamb I’ve ever had. Very considerate of my allergies. Can’t wait to go back.
We have gone for brunch it was so good! The segfeedo coffee is heads and tails above any I’ve tried, and now we tried dinner the lamb was wonderful and so was the fish Duck Duck Goose never disappoints, Always great! The cocktails are worth every penny.
Dessert was wonderful
Great food in a beautiful and safe environment.
Fantastic experience. Felt safe and the food was excellent. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and very amenable to dietary restrictions.
I could not have selected a more preferable location for my first dining experience since the pandemic. Having recently been vaccinated and seeing pictures of the lovely courtyard seating, I took my date here for my 32nd birthday. All expectations were absolutely exceeded. Impeccable food, friendly service, smart casual setting, excellent drink menu, and charming location. I can't wait to return. Also, order the DDG Burger. You won't be disappointed.
Always great food and service! Always! Get the DDG burger or Duck Confit and waffles
The food was amazing the drinks were delicious. 100% recommended!
Cute little hip place. I got the bronzino fish, it was good. It was fresh fish on top of baked white beans. My partner got the steak and noodles dish, also good. The salad was very weird and not good and not a typical salad. For dessert we got the bread pudding which was essentially dunked in caramel and a little dry. Overall entries and drinks were great! Salad and dessert was not great. Great service!
Great apps and service! But the duck and lamb were dry! Probably made in advance and dried out.
Went for Love day and enjoyed our meal the server gave good recommendations for starters and drinks
Bistro style.
Service, food, ambiance. This place had it all. Would highly recommend.
Made an outdoor reservation on open table. Got there and the staff said they weren’t operating outside dining. I would have liked for this to have been clarified prior to arrival.
Otherwise the food and the service were terrific.
Delicious! The foie gras burger looks so decadent and rich but so balanced! I could eat it over and over again 😋
Nice prompt and thoughtful service..The scallops and burger and duck confut were well done 👏. Wait staff were attentive and aware..Didnt enjoy desserts as much but its more of a personal thing not for lack of execution..will be back..Great job duck duck goos
Thanks so much to all staff members. We had a lovely evening with you at Duck Duck Goose. The onion soup is truly the best I have ever had in the United States. Fabulous. We certainly understand the strain this horrible pandemic has had on the restaurant industry and you and your staff were able to deliver a wonderful culinary experience through it all. One detail is that your chairs and wall bench in your main dining room are incredibly uncomfortable. I cannot imagine you would redecorate anytime in the future, however, it would be something for you to consider. Thanks so much
Had an amazing birthday brunch at Duck Duck Goose . Everything from the atmosphere to brunch options was phenomenal ! Each selection had a decent portion size, I enjoyed the shrimp and grits and the scallops meunière . The kitchen staff surprised us at the end with complimentary champagne accompanied with a birthday sparkler and thank you card for my gfs birthday . We were speechless! Overall Excellent service and food, we’ll be back soon for dinner !
I always have a great experience at DDG. The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and the patio is always good people watchin.
My wife and I run a business together and once a month carve out two hours for lunch where we can talk business bullet points and make decisions. I didn’t know DDG but am happy we chose it today. We love French inspired cuisine and the menu did not disappoint. Classic French bistro is hard to come by by they did it right. The confit de canard was really good as was the radicchio and pear salad, and the French onion soup. We sat on the street in the fresh fall air so we didn’t get to enjoy the nice decor inside. We met the regional director and she was super nice, as was our server. Looking forward to our next visit.
Had a wonderful time the other night celebrating my birthday! We picked out our own cheeses and charcuterie, and the golden goose cocktail was so cute and yummy!!! The duo de beef was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We didn’t get a dessert but they brought out a sparkler with our last round of drinks to celebrate! Will definitely be returning!!!!!!
Great experience every time. Food is always delicious.
Really enjoyed the excellent service and ambience. Great date spot
The food was incredible and the atmosphere and service was exceptional. Definitely my new favorite restaurant at the moment!
The staff was nice -- we had an issue arise right before arriving, and they offered to relocate us from front patio to rear courtyard if desired, which was nice.
The food was good. I'm not a big fan of the whole "the food comes out when it's ready" approach. But since we ordered beef tartare -- clearly an appetizer -- I specifically requested it come out first. The cooked veggie side hit the table before it, and the entrees came right after, which took away from the enjoyment of the tartare (we didn't finish it) and the meal in general. The restaurant could do a better job on pacing with respect to this, especially when requested. The duck, unsurprisingly, was good, and the real syrup provided with waffle appreciated.
Also, while I am very respectful of staff health, I don't believe providing a disposable paper menu option jeopardizes that. Many of us do not like to bring our phones into the dining experience, nor read a full menu on a tiny screen (FWIW, I'm barely 40 and have good eyesight -- it's an ambience and aesthetics, anti-tech issue.) Do like Dutch Courage in Old Goucher does and prominently offer QR or paper menu options while following other COVID safety protocols.
The duck was fantastic! Loved the cocktails as well
Everything was great! We did get a dessert that was slightly burnt but the manager, Ronnie/Ronny(?), took care of us and more! Will be coming back
