The food was amazing and waitress was terrific. The host was accommodating, but a little bit unfriendly. The place was very hot inside/stuffy. The restaurant didn’t mark us as present and open table sent me a note. When I called the restaurant at 9:40pm same night to get them to remedy the issue, I was met with a less than helpful phone person who was insisting I call back the next day and remedy the problem. I was already inconvenienced by the restaurant not checking us in, then calling to fix it, only to be told to call back again to speak with management. The employee was hardly willing to take a message even and made me feel guilty for asking her to help with this. This doesn’t leave me with a carefree feeling, but rather annoying logistics I now have to manage for 2 days. Not good.

The best thing about our visit was our server. She was great but the food was overpriced and flavorless. We ordered the coq au vin and it was actually a chicken fried steak. Very disappointing. My husbands duck cassoulet lacked any flavor depth. Super Overpriced too.

Just not that impressed. A little shocked that a French restaurant was "out" of rose on a lovely evening in May (and despite having a bottle on the list, they wouldn't pour any glasses of that). Timing of everything was just off. My salad arrived 5 minutes before table got the other apps. Then entree arrived before the other apps were cleared and the other entrees didn't appear for another 10 minutes. The server apologized, and I know it's not her fault, but just overall, food was fine. Just not an amazing experience.

Great ambience and vibe especially at the bar. The lamb was our least favorite from main menu. Duck confit is on point and reminds me of my days in Paris. Recommend overall. :)

My husband, brother, and I went for a meal on a Friday night at 9pm. The food, music and overall ambience were excellent! Sadly the service was terrible! There was an issue with our first waitress, I think she went home sick at some point possibly … After being seated, we did not receive our appetizers for 30 minutes, drinks for 45 mins etc. When we asked the manager about our drinks, he told us the printer was jammed so the bartender didn’t get our order. It then took another 20 minutes. While we were eating dessert, I think it was the owner that made a comment about us eating too slowly! Granted we were the last ones there, but because of everything described above! I believe he was joking (mostly) but it was inappropriate based on the experience we were having thus far. I would give the restaurant another try in the future and see if the poor service was just a one-time thing, because the food was really good (especially the short rib) and again the ambience was really nice, but it was just a bad first impression. Especially for my brother who was visiting from out of town.

I took two clients to dinner last night. The service was so bad. I believe there were only two servers. We waited 30 minutes for a round of drinks. The food was dry and underwhelming. The agnolotti was dry (literally no sauce) and bland. The bourguigon was dry (again no sauce). And $34 for a 3 scallop entree. They were out of there signature cocktail and the charred cabbage. I understand that the restaurant was short staffed but it was never acknowledged. We were ignored and had to get up and find out waiter.

DDG graciously changed our Mother’s Day reservation at the very last minute from 4 to 7. It was very appreciated by our family and both the food and the service were very good.

Agnolotti, pate, fried rice were wonderful and the tropical dessert with meringue dome was amazing. Only complaint is that the French onion soup was almost all bread, very little actual soup; it had a cheese that was either the mildest Gruyère ever or not Gruyère at all, and I had to search for the duck. I’ve paid almost the same amount for a French Onion soup that had no duck in it. FOS lovers, steer clear of this version.

I wanted a nice cozy restaurant to discuss business but they sat us at the bar tables in the front. While the view is pleasant, the room is cold and uninviting. However, I have to give kudos to our waiter who put a smile on our faces and was extremely patient as we sat around after our excellent meal deep in conversation.

One of the worst experiences dining out I’ve had in years. Made a reservation online, which puts a $25 hold on a card which is completely fine. Arrived 10 minutes before our reservation for my husbands 40th bday celebration, also noted in the reservation. No one greeted or spoke to us until about 10 minutes after our 830 reservation. The bartender was the one who finally said someone would be with us. After another 5 minutes a waitress said the same thing then asked if we had a reservation to which we said yes. She goes for 2 then, we say yes. Never even asked the name for it. Sat us down and before we could even sit asked sparkling or flat for water and left. Took 20 minutes to get the waters. She then asked if we knew what we wanted all at once , didn’t ask about drinks or starters just what did we want. We knew what we wanted so ordered drinks 2 starters and our main course. Waited over 45 minutes from being sat to just get a bottle of Miller lite and the golden goose drink didn’t come till about an hr in. Was such a wait we received 2 glasses of champagne to appease us. Received the one starter a black truffle pasta. Was amazing but having small plates so 2 people aren’t having to worry about dripping pasta sauce all over would’ve been nice. We never received our 2nd starter of broccolini. After we got our mains the steak ordered medium rare was well done and the lamb was ok. But we were still left with the empty champagne glasses,Empty water glasses &empty beer bottle left on the table never removed as we ate out food. As the waitress checked in on us and asked if we ever got out second starter we said no she said we should have told her we never got it. Yea no she should know we never received it, she asked twice about it. As we ate we saw a table of 6 get seated and waters within minutes of them being seated and saw them with drinks within 20mins yes of seating. Our wait times and experience was so bad that the waitress told us they comped the meal.

They make you schedule a reservation online with a credit card guarantee. when you get there 15 minutes early your table is still not ready for you until 45 minutes after. The food was great however the Ambiance is really nice and Luke our waiter was excellent.

Solid vibes. The food was freakin amazing to be honest. Short rib bourguignon & seared scallops were a solid 9.6 out of 10. The service was excellent (Britney - great job) and the food came out quick! I will definitely eat here again.

Showed up on time for our 7:15 pm reservation, was told to wait at the bar while they figured out where to seat us. We were given a complimentary glass of champagne while we waited, which was very nice. However, it became clear that our reservation was forgotten about after waiting for 30 mins and he didn’t know how many people were in our party and said he was going to clear a table for us. We finally sat down and when our waiter came over, he explained that many of the items on the menu were sold out and kept emphasizing how disorganized they were. Conversation and interaction with the server was quite uncomfortable the whole night as he kept emphasizing their disorganization and telling us what to order. Overall the food is good, but if you’re a small party I would suggest trying your luck at the bar versus a reservation.

The wait for Valentine’s Day was pretty crazy but I suppose that’s to be expected. We waited around 45mins after the time of our reservation to be seated - and ended up at the bar; but our first round of drinks was covered for the inconvenience. Food was great, drinks also amazing.

We went for Valentine’s Day. We picked DDG over other restaurants specifically because we’ve been wanting to try it and it did not mention a pre fix menu on open table like so many other places did. We did not want a pre fix menu but that’s what we got. We were extremely disappointed since we felt like they did this intentionally. We also felt extremely rushed and the food wasn’t great and it was way overpriced. A $21 old fashioned is outrageous - this is Baltimore. Not even bluebird cocktail room charges $21 old fashioneds and they are out of this world good.

We went on Valentine’s Day and we treated like rock stars. Service and Food were top notch. The wine was very good and large pours. My only problem was they limited the drink menu. Everything else was great. Plan to go more again 😊

Arrived five minutes early for our reservation - the host tried to seat us at a shared “chef’s table”. Be wary of actually getting a table, even if you have a credit card secured reservation. Staff was really hustling, no question about their effort. Charcuterie was delicious, but very expensive for the serving size. French Onion soup was excellent - get it with the duck confit. We were split on our entrees - the duck confit cassoulet was phenomenal, but my wife’s steak frites was so-so. Generally good, but not good enough for the super premium price.

Early Valentines Day Brunch with my spouse. Excellent service, high quality food and AWESOME ambience. We enjoyed escargot to start and I had the duck confit with waffles…life changing!!! My wife had the salmon tower which she greatly enjoyed…two bottles of champagne to wash it all down. Duck Duck Goose is a must go to spot.

Memorable and romantic date night. Severs were attentive, charming, and helpful. They were out of a few drinks the night we went, but helped us find something we loved. Guacamole with caviar and spiced tortilla chips was divine. Great French wine list. Lamb Wellington and Steak Frites were very good. Ran a little on the rarer side, which we enjoyed, but be sure to specify your doneness if you prefer more well done. We had the Mille Feuille for dessert, which was amazing, light, delicious and a refreshing change from the standard ice cream and bread pudding offered at most restaurants. Thank you for a great experience! We will be back.

Really good food. Don’t miss out on the duck cassoulet and the croque Madame. The wine is ALL good and the staff was so nice. They let us try a million ones so we could decide. They’re short staffed and worked really hard to provide exceptional service. Thank you!

Had a birthday lunch for my mother and the staff was exceptionally attentive and were kind enough to bring out a glass of champagne and sparkler at the end of our delicious meal. We were so surprised! Have also had plenty of casual happy hours and dinners at the bar and have always been delighted. Love this place!
