The staff worked really hard to keep our food coming fast and make sure we were taken care of, despite it being a busy night. They did a fantastic job and were really kind and positive and helpful. The food was really delicious, and a little pricy, but we were very full by the time we left. We dined as a group of four, and it worked out, but I definitely think the space is better suited to a two-person meal. Limited and tight seating (we had a friendly chat with our neighbors) and very loud music. Drinks were also really yummy.

We had a fantastic time at Duck Duck Goose in Fells Point. Our server was phenomenal and very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with a charcuterie board and left the meat and cheese selections up to him and he did not disappoint! Also was able to guide us in the right direction for wine and cocktail pairings for each course. Portion sizes are basically American sizes which is very unusual for a French place. Only thing the place had going against them was the noise. We were the first table in on a Tuesday night and they were blasting the music for some reason. It was very difficult to hear what the person sitting across from me was saying. Once the night progressed the place got more crowded and the noise level got even worse. I felt like I was yelling just to talk to the people in my party. Perhaps they could improve the dining experience by cutting back on the amount of tables and lowering the music. All in all definitely would recommend this place for a nice dinner in the city! Try to go early if possible.

How can a restaurant be out of fries and not tell you before you place an order for a burger and fries and steak frites? Food was OK but overall would not likely return.

Our server, Luke, and the food we're amazing. We had the onion soup and escargots. The escargots were better than those served at Benoit in Paris! Loved the duck breast, duck confit and croissant bread Pudding. Everything from start to finish was perfect.

The apps were decent, and we got the duck breast and the steak frites for the main course. The duck breast was alright, but the portion was small. It was listed as “crispy” but it was not crispy at all. The flavors of the jus and the beets were decent and almost made up for the average duck. The steak was almost inedibly salty, I was unable to finish it. The drinks were expensive but very good.

Nice place. The cheese board was nice but portions were small. The chicken sandwiches were tasty but the chicken was dry. Service was attentive but a little unpolished. Tables were tiny and not practical to hold even a modest amount of food being brought. Place has potential, but could be better to justify prices.

I checked the dinner menu online several times before making the reservation as I am pescetarian and have a severe allergy to pork. There were a number of very appealing seafood dishes on the menu, so I went ahead and made a reservation. We arrived for our meal and found that the menu was completely different from the one posted online. That plus the fact that they were out of two of the dishes I could eat left me with almost no choices. I decided to chance the gnocchi with corn and mushrooms and added shrimp even though the charge for the seafood (an additional $20!) seemed high and raised the dish's price to $43. Imagine my surprise when my plate appeared with only three shrimp on it! The corn was pureed, which amped up its natural sweetness to the point where it was unbearably cloying - I couldn't even taste the mushrooms or the microgreens in the dish - and there was no garlic or other seasoning to add complexity; it was basically baby food. The grilled shrimp were cooked well, but again, completely unseasoned. The gnocchi were mushy, just a tad former than mashed potatoes. My husband said his chicken, served with mashed potatoes, green beans, and bacon, was okay, but there was so much bacon in it that it overpowered the other flavors. I ended up sending most of my meal back because it tasted so bad and the manager was nice enough to comp it, but our bill for one entree and a bottle of good (not outstanding) wine was still around $100. If you want good French bistro fare in Baltimore, go to Petit Louis instead.

Went to DDG for the second time yesterday evening. Started with Bread Service (very good), Escargot (pretty okay), and a few of the charcuterie items (very good). We decided we want to split an entree and ordered the steak frites with foie gras added on top. The bartender suggested medium rare and that is generally how I request my steaks. The steak came out nicely presented but we immediately realized it was over cooked. It was sliced into about 8 pieces and the outer two on each side were basically well done with no visible pink and the very center had barely any visible pink as well, cooked as a medium well essentially. I am very rare to send back a food item but I wasn’t interested in forcing down a $35 steak (with a $24 foie gras add on). We alerted the bartender right away and she politely took the dish back. This is where things got weird. The manager walks over, and with a very weird attitude “yeah, I just want to let you guys know I put it in the order rare this time.” I almost looked at him confused, because I was so taken aback by his tone and what he said. He repeated himself and said “it was pretty close but don’t worry I’ll take care of it” referring to the doneness being close to the medium rare (was VERY far off). I was honestly dumbfounded with his attitude, and replied it was basically well done on the edges and medium well at best. At that point he walked away. We were served another steak shortly after (perfect medium rare this time) but then the manager comes back to check on us and has the same pompous attitude asking if it was okay this time. I said it was a perfect medium rare and he walked away. It’s so disappointing because that weird, uncalled interaction ruined the whole visit it for my partner and I. We didn’t want nor need the steak comped, we had just wanted it correctly cooked. The bartender was excellent, the 6 drinks we had between us were great, the whole place has a very nice vibe, minus the manager. We probably won’t be back.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and treated as though we were the only ones there. The energy was bright, the kitchen was HOT, as we heard “Yes, chef” echo through the small alley way to the courtyard in the back, which was a cute nook away from the bustle of the front of the house, perfect for conversation, whilst enjoying the vibing music in the background and conversation, without having to ask anyone to repeat a word. The food was nothing short of spectacular! To our surprise and fortune, Chef Ashish Alfred was in the house, and man were we in for a treat. I had the duck breast, which, hands down, was the best duck breast I have ever had and my boyfriend had the steak frites, where the steak was a wagyu bavette and the fries were made in duck fat. Trust me, I stole a few fries. Those fries were life changing and I never want fries made any other way than fried in duck fat! This was fine dining, without the pomp and circumstance! No jacket required. Parking was a challenge on a Saturday night in Fells Point, Baltimore, so plan accordingly because this restaurant only holds reservations for 15 minutes. We will definitely be going back!

This was our first visit to Duck Duck Goose and we were very pleased. The place definitely has a hipster vibe. It's fun and energetic. The food was delicious but heavy (now that's a cliché). After martinis, we shared a beautiful charcuterie board that starred duck live pate (incredible!), house-made blueberry jam (perfect accompaniment), a wild boar sausage (wow), an aged goat cheese (best with the sausage and whole grain mustard they served), and house-made pickles. The board rated a solid 10. For our entrees, we each had the Parisian gnocchi. So good, but the heaviest dish we've eaten in a long time. It went nicely with the chardonnay. Duck Duck Goose is worth another visit.

Happy surprise to find this waterfront gem was a top notch French bistro! Wines by the glass and menu were wonderful. Every bite of my four courses was delicious. Sat outside (they were very welcoming of a solo diner--not always my experience!) in the breeze and watched the Fells Point show on the cobblestones. Pricier than most alternatives nearby but I couldn't have been happier!

I liked the coziness of the restaurant. Our server was polite, prompt and attentive. A group came in which delayed out entrees which IMHO shouldn’t have affected the delivery of our food. However, we all got the duck confit which was very delectable but the bottom was cooked to a hardness that wasn’t chewable. Other than that no other complaints. The bread pudding was great and I would highly recommend.

First time here, and it won’t be our last. From the cocktails to the apps (escargot is on point) to the ambiance, it exceeded all expectations. Once onto the entrees we were totally hooked. My wife ordered the crispy duck breast with foie gras and I went with the tile fish special. Both were stellar. But the best was desert - croissant bread pudding. Words cannot describe how good it was. Service was great too - Gabriel was our waiter and he was personable, responsive and professional. Cannot recommend this place enough!

absolutely loved it delicious fun engaging server fun and inventive menu. The only thing that could’ve made it better is the level of the ambient music was too high. It could’ve been that we had an early reservation so there wasn’t enough crowdnoise to cover it but the background music was at least two notches too high. Will definitely be back
