Dan Dan Noodles
Noodles with peanut and pork
Outstanding by every measure imaginable. Our group ordered many dishes and not one disappointed, everything was perfect!
I’ve been waiting 1.5 years to try this place and it still met my expectations- Well worth the hype
It was a birthday and I had asked for dessert with candles and after confirming several times they still forgot.
It was out first time here and it definitely did not disappoint! We were celebrating two bdays and the waiter went out of his way to make it special! The food was spectacular. Not one thing that we ordered was bad. Love the family style portions. Would highly recommend.
Everything was amazing - go with a group so you can try a lot of things
Amazing decor and food! The hongshoa rou and the duck hearts special were my favorites, but everything we ordered was amazing. I would recommend to anyone!
It was soooo good! It’s been a while since I’m back in chicago. I’m so glad for the return of pekan chicken. My ultimate #1 from DDG!
Fabulous! Excel in food snd service
Food was amazing - we had fried rice, Dan Dan noodles and the Moo shu. Tons of flavor and interesting things going on in each. Drinks are great, on the expensive end but that’s West Loop. Loved it overall.
Our favorite place to eat in Chicago! The food is always amazing and the service terrific. If. Otho g else try the short rib potstickers and the Peking duck!
Since discovering DDG I’ve never made a trip to Chicago without booking a reservation way in advance! Love the vibe in the restaurant it’s cozy yet fun and upbeat. The food is amazing, they could surprise me with anything on the menu and I’d be perfectly happy!
Really great service and food
The Food was Absolutely Amazing
Loved everything about this restaurant. Very fun vibe, excellent food and the best server!
It was our first wedding anniversary and they made us feel special. Every person who sat us including our waiter knew that it was our anniversary and treated us super special. We already love this place but after tonight and how great the service was we will keep telling everybody to visit! We will be back!
Great experience... thanks dumping’s are amazing !
Wonderful from start to finish
Best food in town!!
SO good. The service was great, and the ambiance was my favorite of Stephanie Izard's restaurants. The food was delicious--I highly recommend the xi'an goat slap noodles and duck fried rice. The xiao long bao were tasty, though the wrappers were a bit thick. Still a great night out, and you do get a fair amount of food.
Amazing dumplings and noodles! Maybe the best I’ve ever had! Highly impressed and definitely recommend!!
It is very nice but don't try to change your reservation because they aren't flexible. Totally worth it, amazing restaurant.
After eating the shrimp and bacon dish I drank gallons of water. The stuffing in the crab ragoon was too blended and I did not taste crab. Excellent service. Tasty brewed iced tea.
Lugar, ambiente, comida y servicio de primera. Lugar imperdible!!
The duck pot stickers and fried rice were incredible. The sesame chicken was too salty and I would have loved if there was more chicken meat vs breading, I will not order again. Beware of the slap noodles being extra spicy!! The texture of the noodles were incredible, I wish they offered a mild and spicy version. Overall good, and I will be coming back to try more.
This is about the tenth time I’ve been here and the food never fails to delight me and my party. The only complaint I have is that the music is loud and at around 7 pm the volume ramps up and people are left having to shout their conversations across the tables.
Ordered the Peking Duck. The duck was great but the pancakes were dry and biscuity. As a result they tore when you tried to make them into rolls. The service was rushed and sparse. So overall, just ok abd cannot be compared to Shanghai Terrace at the Peninsula!
Food is tasty but so spicy! Menus need to better identify the spice level.
I’ve been going to DDG since 2019, their consistency in being great hasn’t changed.
We weren’t able to get a second drink ordered. Tried for about 20 minutes before giving up. Server was very busy, maybe too many tables. When they were able to interact they were lovely.
Had great meal! Duck well
Worth it !
One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago!
Our waiter was so personable and the food was amazing
Excellent food and excellent service. We will definitely be back!
great spot - a little noisy on the street, which is expected
This place is incredible, definitely order the Jiaozi (potstickers)!! I honestly loved everything I had- the Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), Hot & Sour Egg Drop Soup, Duck Fried Rice, and Xi'an Goat slap noodles- I would give this place a 10/10!!
Need to try the peking duck next time I go!
We almost ordered everything. Duck was great! Everything was delicious.
Visiting family in Chicago and decided to try this place for dinner. Peking duck was tasty but presentation was a bit greasy. Oil on the bottom of the plate. Jiaozi was much too salty. Dan Dan noodles did not taste or resemble what we expected of the dish. Service was great!
Great food and excellent service! Our waiter did everything possible to make our experience unforgettable. We absolutely recommend the Duck Fried Rice, but were not big on the short ribs/bone marrow dumplings
It was great. Service was awesome, I would definitely recommend and plan on going back.
Had CHAR SIU PORK BAO BUNS,
JIAOZI, DUCK FRIED RICE, DAN DAN NOODLES, HONGSHAO ROU and PEKING DUCK.
All dishes were too salty. All dishes served with same pickled vegetables. Peking duck was hacked to pieces.
Overall, not great.
