The food was delicious! It is a great place to go with a large group and share many plates, they are all worth trying. The service was amazing and the decoration inside is lovely! Will go back very soon.
Great food, nice outdoor seating! Highly recommend the short rib potstickers and the soup dumplings :)
The food here never fails. It's just delicious and reasonably priced. I always enjoy the experience.
Typically DDG is one of my favorite restaurants in West Loop. A very unique and diverse menu with lots of interesting flavors. Most of the food is rich so plan accordingly. Cocktails are excellent.
Delightful food , gorgeous decor and attentive service adds up to a great experience. The Peking Duck and the goat soup dumplings were outstanding! Noodles were amazing too
Delicious food! Only complaint was the goat noodles were really spicy. We like spicy, but it bordered on too much.
Fantastic food, great ambiance and the staff was very helpful in guiding us through the menu!
Sat us in the blazing sun, said there was 0 space inside yet there were consistently at minimum 10 tables available the entire time. Food was very overpriced. Service was barely existent. Food was…decent? Nothing was particularly special except the green beans.
Disappointing. We have been there before and enjoyed it very much. Tonight everything was very salty and missing complexity and depth of flavors.
So happy that we chose to visit and try their food, it was definitely worth it!
Initially we were sat on top of a sewer, and it smelled foul. Fortunately they moved us with no fuss after we asked. But there had been several open tables, so why sit us there initially? (And yes we had a reservation.) The ground was littered with garbage. The table we relocated to was crawling with bugs. My wife finished her main before mine was ever brought out. To their credit they comped desert. The food and drink overall was good.
We’ve been to Duck twice before, both times with our grandson who was visiting from out of town. The food was inventive and tasty. We liked it. He loved it. This time, we were accompanied by the same grandson and his twin brother. This was THE restaurant in Chicago they wanted to go to. Sadly, the food was disappointing. It was oily, heavy-handed and boring. What’s happened? The ambience is still fun, the wait staff cordial and attentive. But the food....? I’m not inclined to return, even if our grandsons put on a full-court press to do so.
Great experience the food was wonderful and so tasty a little pricy but great for special I occasions
Food was very good. We especially enjoyed the potstickers and the red braised pork belly.
I've visited Duck Duck Goat twice in the past month and both times everything was terrific except the music selections which weren't to my taste. But this second visit was made incredibly special--I originally reserved for a party of 5 and requested a round table in the "pink" room. At the last minute I had two cancellations so I changed the reservation but they still gave the 3 of us remaining the table we had requested. Since these tables are at a premium and they were very busy, I was surprised and so pleased. The first time we skipped dessert but that was a mistake as our second visit included those and they were delicious. The bao are very sweet if that's to your taste but I loved the almond yum yum the most. The addition of a bit of black vinegar was truly inspired.
We didn’t like the part that they bring dishes as they get ready! So, we got our fried rice first and Tofu dish & chicken dish to go with the rice 15 minutes later!
Also the food was too salty, although flavorful.
Good vegan options. Even more would be great!
Everything we had was extremely salty.
I had a large party of 6 that was running a little late, and the DDG hostess was so accommodating and DELIVERED on food, per usual. One of the new-comers said it was the best fried rice he'd ever had, and man, those potstickers were new to me and a new favorite. I always tell people this is my favorite restaurant in Chicago, and am never disappointed! Thanks for the great food/experience, yet again!
It’s a trendy restaurant for 20/30 yrs olds. Food is
over rated. The service was fair, unfortunately know
your beers, as they could not get it right.
Ordered Duck Fried Rice, Braised short ribs. Beef Slap Noddles. The topper of the evening is paying extra on your
Bill for employee benefits.
Great food and service! Truly excellent. My only complaint is the restaurant is very dimly lit.
The food here is absolutely outstanding- every dish was better than the ones before! We strongly recommend the scallion pancakes, goat slap noodles, chongqing chicken and finishing with the Almond Yum Yum for dessert! Can't recommend them enough.
Waitstaff was attentive and AWESOME
Great vibe, unique menu items and great service. Worth the trip.
Came to Chicago on a girls trip and this was the Best restaurant of all. Thank you to the staff and our waiter for handling our allergies, making us feel welcomed and getting us such a great meal meal
Thank you all for making my proposal event so memorable!
First restaurant experience since March 2020 and it didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing!!!! Can’t wait to go back again and try the other half of the menu.
Excellent food and service
Great food great service!
My favourite restaurant in the city. Great food and not overly expensive for what you get.
Amazing food and service! Went with our 11 month old and they couldn’t be more accommodating.
Food was fantastic with good portions for the price. Service was paced oddly, but friendly.
We love traditional dim sum and Chinese food. This lifts up the typical dishes. When it does, though, like the moo shu, leaving traditional behind can be not-so-good. I'd go back and try some more!
I had messed up my reservations for dinner - made for wrong date. Team was really great on trying to get us in, it was my daughter's birthday and I didn't want it spoiled. Dinner was great, server was too, will definitely return.
Great playlist and food was incredibly. Prices really reasonable considering.
Fantastic! Couldn’t be happier. What a great meal with excellent food and service.
Delicious food. Every time!
One of my favorite restaurants in the city. I have never had anything here that I didn’t like. We wife and I met up with another couple for dinner. We decided to get the Peking duck. This was our first time having the duck and it did not disappoint. This is a perfect place for shared plates and group dinners.
Perfect food and service!
It was our first time eating outside in the patio and we just loved it. All the food was fantastic and our servers were phenomenal
