It was great for COVID times but I had more expectations after hearing people raving about this place. Expensive good but not worth it.
Dined outside when it was about 30 degrees and they had enough heaters that it was not too bad. Service and food were great.
Food is phenomenal!!! Highly recommend Jiaozi, goat slapped noodles and chongqing chicken - already craving them
Great service, nicely heated for winter even outside the greenhouse or igloos. Warm clothing recommended for outside
Food and service was awesome
Great food - I recommend the Beef and Broccoli!
I came with a friend and we sat outside. We each had 2 drinks (me red wine, my friend cocktails), and shared the pot stickers, beef slap noodles, chongqing chicken and a side of green beans. For dessert we shared the soft serve ice cream (vanilla and mango). I thought everything tasted pretty good. I was not expecting the chicken to come out as small deep fried nuggets. The best part of the meal was dessert. Delicious. Our bill came out to over $150 which I thought was quite high for this kind of casual meal. I'm not so sure I would be back. There are better Izard restaurants where you get more bang for your buck.
Amazing time, they did not have any white wine for my wife. Only disappointing part of the evening. Peking Duck is a must!!
Outdoor Covid experience was great! Tables weren’t too close, servers were kind, and food was delicious as always!
The food was amazing, it was a fun, safe atmosphere eating outside, heaters going!
Great ambiance. Good food.
A bit pricey. We ordered the Peking duck and I’m sure it was prepared very well. But we couldn’t finish it. Not my favorite.
Sweet and friendly staff. The green beans and fried rice were both amazing. The slap noodles were too sweet for my liking.
Fabulous as always. The food was so delicious, all precautions were taken, can’t say enough positive things about Duck Duck Goat. Favorite restaurant in the city
Food was incredible and I loved it all. The drinks were so-so but I am not a big drinker in the first place. right now with Covid, it's not too busy and a great option for a mid-week night out to dinner!
The food comes out really late. Service wasnt that great and food way too salty
Yes. Make sure to get the Potstickers. The host and staff were great and even comped a drink that was late. They dealt well with a loud patron as well who tried to bribe their way inside. The Butterscotch drink was great and kept me warm. You can never go wrong with Stephanie Izard.
Celebrated my daughter's 30th bday here, and everything was great. Very Covid aware, even taking temps upon entering, and tables spaced far apart. Great service and wonderful food and tasty drinks. We'll definitely return.
The JIAOZI & HONGSHAO ROU are fantastic. Service was good too.
The open table ads were somewhat misleading for the outdoor dining. Do not believe for a second when you book outdoor you will be getting and igloo or greenhouse outside table. They cannot be booked on this app. Dinner for two with one drink a piece, was $110. It is good but just simply not worth the price.
Sat outside with heaters - it was about 45 degrees and we were bundled up. The food was really good. We enjoyed the pork and duck spring rolls and the dumplings the most, they were fantastic. All of the food came out piping hot.
So this is why I'm not giving 5 stars. I realize that the current situation is tough and most restaurants are trying their best. The host was upfront when we arrived that they were adhering to strict timing on the table. I get and respect that. The problem is our server didn't pay attention to us and didn't come back to the table for about 15 minutes. We really wanted some more dumplings because they were so good. He said we had time. Then they brought the dumplings out with the bill. As I was literally putting a dumpling in my mouth, a hostess came to the table and told us we needed to leave. It would be one thing if we were just stalling - but the reason we ran over was because of your poor service. Other than that, in spite of eating outdoors in 45-degree weather which isn't their fault, I would have given it 5 stars.
The drinks were tasty with a nice pour. The food was creative especially the soup dumplings. My only suggestion is to use less salt. The restaurant definitely took Covid seriously which we appreciated.
Amazing food. Delicious drinks. And really friendly staff. A must try!
Amazing brunch menu. It’s new but an amazing combination of dinners and flavors
Food and drink were excellent but not a great place to dine due to the 90 minute limit on tables.
Wanted two parties near each other, gave notice & still didn’t pull through. My party was a bit late and it was nice of them to still save our table, but the manager was pretty rude and told us we HAD to leave before 8:30pm for the next res. Understandable, but very unnecessary for the snarky attitude & there was no need to come by our table to “remind” us to leave. Leave that to the server. Server was great & didn’t make us feel rushed like the manager. I honestly feel so sorry he has to work in a rude place like that. Food is expensive & too salty in my opinion. Would not recommend.
Enjoyed the dome seating, thought the per person minimum was a bit excessive for a slow Wednesday, but ultimately ended up not being an issue. All the flavors were delicious! Really enjoyed the cocktails as well.
Birthday, great time
Always a fantastic experience! The potstickers and duck spring rolls are incredible.
Great service and upkeep of COVID guidelines. Turns out we’re not fans of goat meat, but the food was overall flavorful and authentic. We got the XLB, Biang (slap) noodles, and pork belly (the best of the three). I enjoyed the nonalcoholic drinks they offered. If we’re ever back in Chicago we would want to see anything new this place would have to offer.
My siblings and I went for our sister's birthday, and had a wonderful experience!
Had a great meal and felt safe and socially distant from other tables. We ate indoors. Loved the buns and the soup dumplings.
Made me feel super safe during these crazy times! It was nice to sit outside and still feel warm when the weather is changing. The heat lamps were great! Thanks for still allowing safe outdoor dining! And the food is amazing...as always.
This is my second time dining at Duck Duck Goat; I highly recommend the potstickers, duck fried rice and any of the cocktails.
Everyone was really nice. Loved how our waiter educated us on how some of the dishes are eaten which was very helpful. It was pretty quite not a lot of noise so it a good option for a date night and the food was delicious. Will definitely go back.
They were super sweet about giving us a private spot for our date.
The food was amazing! But the service was horrible! Ordered food and waitress forgot what we ordered and took care of the tables next to us before she got back to us.Horrible.
My best friend and I really enjoyed dinner at Duck Duck Goat! Sadly we couldn't sit outside as it was too windy for the heaters to keep us warm so we risked going inside in order to be comfortable and enjoy our meal. It worked out great! Everything we ordered was delicious!
Our experience was outstanding! We were seated in one of the new outside structures which provided for an excellent and safe meal. As always the food was delicious, drinks plentiful and tasty. Our server was knowledgeable and delightful. We can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely delicious! You have to get the peking duck. We sat outside in October which was a bit chilly but the service and food was sooo amazing, they continued to put heaters around us as other tables left.
The waitress was a hipster wanna be who could have cared less and the Asian host that evening was just plain annoying and rude. When I asked her if we could please have the heater turned on, she seemed quite bothered for that request. It was chilly and an appropriate request. The food wasn’t that great for the price that was paid.
Peking Duck is amazing
