Can’t tell you about the food, because we waited at our table like ghosts. We arrived at 5:30 and left at 7:30 WITHOUT eating! Service was non existent! Almost laughable how poor the service was. On our way out the door, our food was arriving, but we choose to go home and eat! Terrible service. When we were seated we were one of 4 tables, so no excuse for the poor service.
Wonderful food and service. The duck fried rice was amazing. We will be coming back again. I’ll be adding a review on yelp soon.
One of the most amazing restaurants I've ever been too. The food was out of this world.
Great food and service
It was an awesome bday dinner!
Another amazing meal here. Had the soup dumplings, pot stickers, whole duck, and several other dishes. All were perfectly prepared.
My partner was in town on business and had the majority of his $100 per diem still available when we went. We ordered five plates - soup dumplings, green beans, goat belly noodles, duck fried rice, and some pork main. All were fantastic. Service was great and addressed my partner's food allergy appropriately (lactose sensitive). She was great in pointing out what menu items were lactose free, could be modified, and what could not be modified. I will admit it was a little loud, but we did have a later reservation.
Service was great but the food was a disappointment.
Food was absolutely amazing!
It was fine. Not great.
One of my new favorite restaurants! Amazing. Everything we ate, including the duck, was amazing. If you’re deciding where to eat, eat here!
Best duck and eggplant I’ve ever had. Outstanding ambiance and service
Very cool decor. Excellent food. Interesting cocktails. Good place to go. The soup we had was exceptional. I would definitely go back.
Great evening meal! The shrimp special and goat slap noodles were perfect. Winter citrus salad was especially refreshing. If I could only go to one restaurant in Chicago, this is it! The entire staff is knowledgeable and can maneuver you through any dietary restrictions. There is no more perfect dinner.
I was disappointed. I’ve had better Chinese food in Chinatown for much less. Such poor quality food shouldn’t cost this much.
Service was spectacular.
Everything was excellent. Loved sharing the small plates. Waiters were fantastic - a great experience.
Everything was amazing! Loved the food and the service!
Seemed like a lot of 5 spice powder on most dishes.
Awesome!!! Can’t wait until my next dining experience there.
Everything was simply amazing. You’ll see us again (and again and again!)
Had a lovely time celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday here. They very nicely accommodated our party of 8 and our vegan and vegetarian food restrictions. Will definitely be back soon!
I love everything at Duck Duck Goat. Everytime I go there, the food is outstanding, the service is superb and the drink are phenomenal. Always consistently delivering a great dining experience. When I have people from outside the country, I bring them here and always very satisfying. Love, love, love! Good job!
Such a fun time
Excellent execution of the genre. And, ou can really order much less than you think as the portions are generous and filling. Very tasty selection of non alcoholic, refreshing drinks.
Absolutely stunning restaurant and the most delicious food. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and took great care of us. We can't wait to return.
Excellent food and service. Wonderful flavor combinations to everything we tried.
The only thing that we didn't love was being packed right next to another couple since there were only 2 of us. The restaurant had just opened and wasn't full by the time we left. I know this is common when its busy, but it would go a long way to making people feel comfortable to just put them at every other table until you fill up. We were the only 2 couples in the room until the end of our meal and it felt very awkward.
We look forward to coming back to try more dim sum options.
NYE fixed menu. I was sooo full at the end and I didn’t even eat the last 3 dishes. The food was really good and the atmosphere was great.
Spent new years at Duck Duck. The food was delicious as expected, but felt rushed. Having booked a 9pm reservation, we confirmed we could stay until midnight, but all food was on the table by 10. The evening could have been a little more special with a cocktail more atmosphere
New Year’s Eve Prefix menu was average, food was extremely rushed out of the kitchen. Overall, very mediocre experience. I expected it to be so much better. I understand it was NYE but PF Chang’s would have been every bit as good. I don’t understand how all the 5 star reviews. Maybe it’s a better experience on a regular night.
We are from out of town and love to go to Duck Duck Goat when we are in town.
I was disappointed in how rushed this meal was on NYE. We were served 9 courses is 60 minutes! While the food was very good, it was way too much. We were a group of 2, and it felt like they served us for a group of 4. It all came out at similar times and we could barely eat it before it got cold.
I recommend this restaurant anytime except for a special NYE menu!!
We were rushed through in under and hour for NYE dinner. The food quality wasn't much different than typical Chinese delivery. For Over $300 it was a disappointing dinner.
Lovely meal, exciting menu for New Year’s Eve. Service felt a bit rushed at the start but evened out. Duck Duck Goat is a can’t miss place and will always be a favorite.
The Pekan chicken was delicious but the chow fun was really weird and not what you’d expect based on it being a chicken and noodle dish. There was almost no chicken and the noodles were like a once crispy but now soggy double wonton wrapper. They were of course out of all the dim sum we wanted so the was a huge disappointment. For the price of the entrees they’re tiny.
Incredible Chicken Pecan
Wonderful service and unwind food
Everything was amazing but the seafood fried rice was a tad salty. Loved the beef slap noodles and the dumplings
Had lunch here on 12/29/2019 with a special awesome new friend of mine, before we went to watch Hamilton from our rock star 3rd row seats at the CIBC Theater! It was our first time here at DDG!! We ordered about 6 dim sum items (per our awesome server’s recommendation), which had either or both duck and/or goat in them plus we also had the seafood paella!! Everything was AWESOME!! However, our favorite item were the empanada-like Goat Belly Buns; wow! We also had this awesome gin-based signature cocktail that had Fire in its name; that was fantastic too and gave us a nice pre-Hamilton buzz! Our server was very attentive, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient—which is why I left her 30%(+) tip! Way to go, gurl!! We would definitely come back here!!
It’s worth all the hype!
