The food was absolutely stellar! The soup dumplings were out of this world! I enjoyed every bite!
Deliciously delightful dining experience. Our waiter was awesome.
Everything was incredible…
The food was good. Not many choices on the menu, a bit pricey.
Excellent food and so much fun. There is a lazy Susan in the middle of the table which makes it easy to share all the dishes. Everything was delicious and our server, Vo, really helped steer us in the right direction. Highly recommend especially for groups so that you can taste a lot of different dishes!
Our server was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the menu and the cocktails we ordered! The food was spaced out very well throughout our meal and everything was delicious. We will absolutely be coming back!
Absolutely love this place! It was our first time dining in; we were won over by Chef Stephanie's LIVE at home cooking class and meal kit during the pandemic. Her short rib bone marrow pot stickers and slap noodles were so much fun to make at home, and after eating them in the restaurant, we'll certainly be back.
Wonderful menu with amazing surprises. Beauty decor. Amazing server - highlight of our trip to Chicago. We’re still talking about the slap noodles. Highly recommend!
I recommend this restaurant to most people but I’m disappointed that they took the dishes I love off the menu (shrimp and peanut dumplings and seafood fried rice). Both dishes were wonderful and I’d gotten then every time I went there before Covid (many times). I only eat seafood and am not interested in vegetarian dishes. There’s only one item with shrimp on the menu but they will add shrimp to one other (glass noodles). It was fine but not exceptional like the seafood fried rice. I am a big fan of Stephanie’s food and have visited Girl & Goat and Duck Duck Goat often throughout the years. But I don’t think I’ll be in a hurry to go back to DDG unless the menu changes. Hopefully some more seafood will be added in the future. Also if you’re seated outside near the speaker, it is super annoying (to us). Pretty loud and we didn’t enjoy any of the music at all. Still think it’s a great place to go that most ppl love as I did for the past 4-5 yrs since it opened. Definitely suggest not being seated in front of the speaker in order to enjoy your meal. Just not for my husband and me right now.
Food was great. Don’t appreciate being given a time deadline as we sat down. It made us feel unappreciated as guests. Food was wonderful. Service acceptable
Absolutely outstanding food. So so good. And our server was great. He recommended food, helped direct us based on our taste, and was just charming. We were there to celebrate and it certainly was a great celebration. And the Peking duck not to be missed!!!
Definitely a “hip”’place in chicago, but not the most authentic Chinese food. The cocktails were okay. We got xiao long bao and pork buns for appetizer; for entrees we had Dan Dan noodles, goat noodles, and duck fried rice. Everything was good, but quite strong in flavors. We were stuffed afterwards. I’d recommend going for the experience but doesn’t necessarily warrant a repeat outing.
Food was fantastic!
Cocktails were delish and the food Sarah recommended was fabulous. Can’t wait to go again.
Fun vibe and great food! We highly recommend the pork belly dish and the chilly chili noodles!
Perfect medium size restaurant with a great atmosphere. The design on the outside and the inside was a lovely sight. As me and my girlfriend talked about all the interior set ups they had. The kitchen was backed up, but that was okay as everything was worth the wait! Waiter gave us a complimentary appetizer of pickled cucumbers for the wait. Menu is a little pricey but well worth each bite and smell!
Great food and dining experience!
One of my top meals to date! Such a fun way to try new foods and share plates. Great date spot!
Server was awesome & overall hospitality was very welcoming! Food was good.
We came here for a celebration and loved every minute. Food was amazing, the ambiance was great but the icing on the cake was the service. We had a lot of questions about the menu and how things came out. I was excited to be met with guidance. We got the xiao long bao, the soup, duck fried rice, and the chongqing chicken.
One thing I noted I really liked was that every room was decorated in a different color, too cute.
my guest wants to experience this Chef Stephanie Izard place!!
Every dish that we ordered was amazing - I recommend the BBQ bao and the duck fried rice. You have to be sure to get a cocktail as those are also very well done. Could not recommend this more!
Great price for good food in the west loop
This restaurant is best experienced with a party of 4 or more so you can enjoy sharing multiple dishes and try the Peking duck!
Our server was outstanding. I believe her name was Jeimmy - she was so sweet, kind, & attentive. The food was great too! I had the veggie spring rolls & vegetable fried rice.. both so delicious. We also enjoyed the atmosphere & room we sat in. Will be back again soon!
The food was spectacular and the service was great. Very cool atmosphere and great location.
The Peking Duck is not to be missed, but truly everything was exceptional
Food and service were phenomenal! Would happily return.
Great food. Slight problem with our reservation but food was worth it
As an LA transplant that's been here for 5 years, DDG is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. The food is excellent every time, and in my 5 years, I've gone at least 15 times. The dishes have so much depth with their flavor and texture. Their cocktails are consistently great and pretty unique. Lastly, their service is impeccable, always taking time to run newbies down the menu and explaining what's in each dish. Shoutout to my guy Jonathan — always a great presence when I go!
Exceptional service and the space decoration. Unfortunately, the menu was reduced due to pandemic-caused supply issues. We were not able to try the much-anticipated dishes. Will definitely be coming back. Fantastic jiaozi, great cocktails. The dessert - Almond Yum Yum was an absolute hit - very innovative approach!
The server was amazing! The food was great
First time dining, brought the family and had a spectacular meal. Short rib wontons were rich and satisfying, loved the pork bao and duck fried rice. Server was exceptional and we had a great experience!
Truly fun and energetic place. Great Dim Sum. Exceptional service.
The entire meal was amazing. The beef short rib pot stickers were my favorite. We also had the duck, Dan Dan Noodles, spring rolls, and pickled cucumbers. I recommend trying all of these dishes. Very happy with our experience. Our waiter was great as well!
Slightly disappointing. I think all the Duck/Goat restaurant experiences are starting to dip. It’s not what it used to be.
Everything you order is amazing. Can’t go wrong with anything. Beef and broccoli was my favorite, along with the soups
Our server was incredible! We didn’t catch his name, but he was very personable and fun to have around.
Great food, reasonable price. Service was top notch. Reservations definitely suggested for indoor dining.
