Duck Duck Goat

We were so looking forward to coming back to Duck, Duck, Goat. Despite making a reservation two months in advance, we were sat at the worst table in the restaurant. We asked to be moved and the hostess was SO rude. She made me happy that I don’t live in the city anymore.
Our waitress was nice, but the experience was hampered by sitting at the worst table by the cold air and server station. It was unfortunate because there were open tables in other areas in the restaurant.
Girls night out was fantastic at Duck Duck Goat! Can’t wait to come back!
I'm a HUGE fan of Stephanie Izard's and I booked our 7 year wedding anniversary at Duck Duck Goat because I love Asian food and I love all of Stephanie's restaurants. We sat down and our waiter let us know that we should order 4-5 items off the menu to share. We ordered all 5 at one time and about 5 minutes later we had our first item, 5 minutes after that came the second, then again came the third. I finally said "can you please hold off from bringing the food so quickly, we never go out and I want to enjoy everything instead of feeling rushed". He said "of course" and about 7 minutes later came our next item and quickly after came our last. For some reason the last thing that arrived to our table was the green beans. It was just really disappointing because I was SO darn excited. I have to say that all the food was amazing and so were the drinks and wine. I would go back with a friend and make sure to only order 1 or 2 things at a time.
I love this place. They have brunch dimsum and all the selections were very good. It was noisy and crowded so no real ambiance except for a typical raucous Chinese restaurant. Don't expect traditional Chinese food however. Everything is tweaked to the American palate (like Tex-Mex for mexican food) but the ingredient quality and cooking were as intended by the Chef and, for me, all our choices were delicious.
Fabulous service, excellent food. We ordered generously and didn't break the bank. Very fun environment, everyone looking around at all the beautiful dishes served at other tables to decide what to get. With so many options in West Loop, I'm glad we chose here!
Pretty good food, slightly overpriced. Cocktails were amazing. Cool ambience.
Birthday - brought us a free cup of ice cream, very unexpected. Been here multiple times and always try to get a new dish. Never disappointed.
We love love love Duck Duck goat! It is a must whenever in Chicago! Beef slap noodles and chongqing chicken are to die for!
Bucket list item complete, the Stephanie Izard restaurant circuit. Highly recommend all of them. They were all different and great in their own way.
Excellent food. Great service
The food was exceptional, especially the bao buns to start (on special) and the mango coconut cloud dessert! We had to wait a bit longer than we would have liked, given we had a reservation, but it was worth it.
Coursed well, delicious, delectable duck
We will never go back since our vehicle window was smashed just 1-block North of Duck Duck Goat. There is a public parking garage but when it is marked Full no other choices but street parking. It is dark and abandoned nearby. Do not recommend his place as the area is unsafe!
Mouthwatering yumminess! Everything we had was delicious and our waitress helpful with selections. We will be going back soon.
Always had great experience at this place from the food, service , atmosphere etc.. thanks for the great experience
Spectacular food, incredible service, and fun relaxed atmosphere. Doesn’t get better!
Great food. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend
Great place to share an amazing meal with family and friends. Delicious dim sum and authentic flavors in the soups and noodles. Garlic green beans are amazing!
Celebrating a birthday. Food was yummy, good service and we would go again.
The service was superb -- attentive without being pushy. The atmosphere is cool, decor interesting and nostalgic 80's pop music the night we were there. Cocktails looked great (my partner had one, said it was good, but I couldn't drink that night). The food was reasonably good, inventive Chinese, but overly salty. A little surprising in a celebrity chef, more like a kitchen that is not quite confident of its flavors so oversalts to make sure the food has taste.
Everything we ate was delicious. The standout was the fried rice and the shrimp/peanut dumplings. We just got married that morning and they gave us bubbly and ice cream on the house in congratulations. We'll definitely be back.
The food was excellent and our server was awesome. Bummer that the reservation is so hard to get and not flexible. I felt like we turned our table pretty fast, trying to make way for the next reservation.
Great food, server was so-so, I think he had too many tables and had to bartend in the back.
I did not hate my experience, nor was I wowed. The one exception was this mango cloud dessert which was to-die-for. Service was friendly and attentive. Perhaps I will go again and try different menu items.
Group of out of town guests
One of the best restaurants in Chicago. The attention to detail in preparing the food and unique flavor combinations make this a one of a kind dining experience. For service, food and overall dining experience, you won’t find a better choice. If I only had one night in Chicago for dinner, this would be it!
Excellent Food! Peking Duck is a must, &❤️ the BBQ Pork Buns!!
My wife and I eat there fairly regularly. Great food, friendly staff, we love it!
Everything was outstanding, as one might expect from the goat empire!
Such a great place !!!!
Food was delicious, service was exceptionnal, great price for quality of food, trendy ambiance etc, etc
I definitely recommend this restaurant.
A must in Chicago !!!
We eat here about 10 times a year and always amazing. Today was also amazing.
GREAT ALL AROUNd!!!
Pig cheek, goat dumplings were amazing. Peking duck cooked to perfection, skin was crisp but light, not chewy. Sides for the duck were delicious. Only 4 pancakes came with duck initially, however we requested additional and these were brought promptly. Mango dessert was refreshing, interesting combination of flavors
The food and service were on point and top of things. They were very considerate of our requests and any potential dietary restrictions.
Loved it! From the decor to the food to the service, highly recommend it! Definitely get the shishito peppers - they’re amazing!
Great food fast service nice experience
Everything from the soundtrack to the dessert was absolutely on point. We had the Duck Hearts, the Duck and goat spring rolls, the Octopus salad, the green beans, the Pork Belly, the Duck fried rice, and the Coconut Cloud. Do yourself a favor and go to Duck Duck Goat.
Food was ok but I expected better. I was charged for a dessert without requesting one since it was my dates birthday, which struck me as odd.
We came for a birthday dinner and absolutely loved the food! The goat slap noodles were a hit and our server was kind enough to treat us to a free birthday ice cream. The only thing to note is the tables are very close together and the environment is so loud, you’re more likely to hear the conversations next to you than your own.
