About DS Tequila Company
DS Tequila Company boasts that it does three things well: burgers, tacos and tequila. If you’re in Chicago and want one, much less all three, you should stop by. Since 2011, this restaurant has been churning out burgers made with half a pound of 100% prime beef.
The tortillas it uses for the tacos are made by hand on a daily basis, so they always taste fresh. Every margarita at DS Tequila Company is made with lime juice, 100% agave D.S. Company tequila and no added sugars. During nicer weather, there is also a great patio at DS Tequila Company to enjoy.

DS Tequila Company Ratings and Reviews
Great spot before concert at Wrigley for ZBB!
Had never been and was very satisfied. Had group of 6 and apps were great, dinner was great and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice evening on the patio. We will be back next time in that neighborhood for sure!
Great server and some really tasty drinks!
The food was good but the service was off. There was no silverware on the table and when the apps came there was still none. The server hardly checked on us. I had to get silverware and ketchup Independantly of the server. The place was getting busy but other tables had there stuff together.
Found this restaurant on small tabs.com. They offer half off food Monday's from 5-11 so figured I'd check it out for a cheap date night. The outdoor dining was fantastic. Both my date and I felt very comfortable and not crammed in a patio with a bunch of loud people. The menu is awesome. Lots of options for both food and drinks. The drink list is great. Who doesn't like a margarita on a hot summer day? Would definitely go back!
I would just like to preface that I was here for the Blackhawks game, so that is the reason for the noise level. Which was perfectly fine, since the game sound was on and during commercial breaks a dj played music. They were great for the game. Wasn't too crowded and fully prepared for the number of people they had. It was extra nice that they only took people who had reservations unless the person was willing to wait for a bar seat.
Try the chipotle pineapple margaritas. They were fantastic!!
DS Tequila is a decent restaurant that's reasonably priced if you want to grab dinner before partying in Boystown. However, the music (spring-break mashups) and TVs are incredibly loud, prohibiting any real conversation (patio and inside). The food is solid, and the frozen drinks are okay, but there are better places in town for those, if that's your main goal. Also, apparently the men's room has a trough, which my friend was less-than-thrilled with. Our server was very friendly, and provided good service, though he was a bit hard to find when we wanted the check, but to be fair, it was very busy. I would go back, if a friend wanted to go, but I don't expect I'll initiate another visit myself. Final bug in the ointment - the restaurant reported me as a no-show on our reservation, probably because it was so loud they couldn't hear me when we arrived.
The best part about my dining experience at DS Tequila (in addition to the drinks!) was the service. Our server was incredibly responsive and kind, even to a newbie such as myself. The food was delish, the atmosphere was enjoyable and even the other guests were, too! This was a great find!
This restaurant had great food. The tacos, burger, fries and guacamole were great. The margaritas could have been better. I had the chipolte pineapple and the habanero lime margaritas which tasted the same. Overall a great restaurant that I would go to again.
The food was great. We had a party of 12 that split the table. One of our waiters was fantastic and the other waiter screwed almost everything up. He messed up the food orders, the receipts (split), and accused one of our friends of not paying when he paid cash. Overall, I do recommend this place. In my past experiences coming here with a smaller party, the service was great.
Went there for lunch with two friends. The place wasn't crowded however there were two tables of VERY LOUD guys. I mean they were almost screaming loud. We asked to be moved out to the patio because it was so loud. The staff wasn't much better. they were all crowded around a TV in the back cheering on some team. Service was OK but it did seem like our server wasn't going to bend over backward to make our visit special. She kind of had a "eh" attitude but was pleasant. Food was excellent! I can't remember the last time I had a burger that was that good.
We came in for dinner on a very cold night. The space is long and narrow so basically everyone was getting a blast of cold air every time the door opened. We moved to the back of the restaurant, which was slightly better but right next to the door to the patio (which was also opened quite a bit). I should also note that when we arrived it took them an unusually long time to clean the booth from the last group and then took FOREVER for our server to get over to us. I don't know if they were short staffed or what, but I'd say we were sitting there for longer than 5 minutes before anyone came over. She didn't really seem that enthused to boot. We ordered the .25 wing special. They were small but really quite good. Hubby ordered the nachos- they are large so be prepared. I ordered the bison burger. It was pretty good and came with an appropriate number of fries. DS Tequila is in our neighborhood and is often really busy, so obviously they're doing something right. We aren't that taken with it, so I don't think we'll give it another go.
The food was pretty great, but this is more like a bar than a restaurant. I was disappointed by how casual and disorganized everything was. The hosts were clueless, and ended up not even checking us in, so it was a process even letting opentable know I didn't stand up my reso. I also would have expected a better margarita for the price.
Apparently we had the bad luck to go in on movie night. The movie was playing too loud even though it had subtitles. A quick look around at the other diners and not one person was even looking at it. For a restaurant with tequila in the name, the margarita was fair at best. The only redeeming item was the fries - crispy and seasoned just right. What was missing was a manager. Our server was friendly and efficient but he restaurant seemed to be run by staff only and that didn't allow for the staff to devote full time to serving guests. Overall maybe worth a try but I won't be rushing back.
Enjoyed the chips and guacamole with tasty salsas as usual. My friend loved her barbecue chicken salad, and I enjoyed my grilled platter. Beverages were great as usual. Our server was very aloof and disinterested in us. Overall, though, we're glad to have DS Tequila in the neighborhood.
Always a good time at this place. It is situated right ion the heart of Boystown which is the LBGTQ center of Chicago. The restaurant is always filled with wonderful eye candy. The tacos are great but small so get a few of them. The burgers are a good size and will fill you up. Always a great spot to hang after work, grab a bite and a beer and mingle.
If you're looking to go out and have fun, but just want to snack on something, then this restaurant is okay. As a group of 6 20-something females celebrating a birthday with a dinner reservation, we could barely fit into the doorway because the place was so packed for some March Madness, which is understandable. It was pretty loud and crowded. We all ordered margaritas, some of us getting the jalapeno one, others getting the traditional house recipe. The waiter switched everyone's drinks when he brought them to the table, no big, but when we attempted to give the drinks to the right people, we realized they all tasted the same. I had a burger, which was just ok as the bun disintegrated since it was soaked in sauce. Overall, just fine.
I went with here with a couple of friends and my fiance for brunch on a Saturday morning. They said there menu had a bunch of new items and from the ones I tried both myself and off other's plates everything was extremely tasty. They have brunch packages either including bottomless mimosa's or with 2 bloody mary's and a mimosa. I would recommend this to anyone to try if they are looking for a different brunch place then you are used to.
