About Dry Creek Kitchen
If this country has a culinary cradle, it's in Northern Sonoma, where the fruits of local labor—from outstanding produce to handcrafted cheese—have never been on a plane. Drawing upon regional ingredients is a superior way to eat and one can taste the freshness in Dry Creek Kitchen specialties. You can also experience the regional abundance in the daily, tasting menu, featuring "Sonoma Neighbor" food and wine pairings.
Dry Creek Kitchen's wine cellar reflects the area's celebrated appellations, featuring more than 600 Sonoma wines with vintages ranging from 1985 to 2007 and a particular emphasis on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Meritage Blends.
Charlie Palmer's long standing commitment to wine manifests itself in his one-of-kind-collection drawing from the private libraries and cellars of the area's winemakers.

Dry Creek Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
This is the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. The presentation of the food is unbelievable and then you put the food in your mouth & it is so delicious! Excellent ambience as well. Wine selections were amazing & our server was excellent. I rarely have dessert but just could not pass it up! Delicious desserts as well. If you are anywhere near Healdsburg you must try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Impeccable service. Beautiful semi-urban environment. The hosts were very accommodating and able to seat us an hour earlier than our reservation at our request. It was a special occasion and we were given special service. We enjoyed a delicious champagne toast and a gorgeous dark chocolate pave dessert. Our waiter was fantastic. Dinner was inventive and delicious. Dry Creek Kitchen went above and beyond and the staff are to be commended.
Tasting menu was great. Service was very attentive. Nothing was rushed, but neither too slow. Our table was near the bar, and a group of people were getting a little too close to us at one point, but it was nice that a staff person noticed and came to ask us if he should talk to them, which we declined. The Chef came and talked with us at one point and that too was a nice touch.
My granddaughter and her boyfriend joined my wife and I for a dinner at the Dry Creek Kitchen. They drove all the way up from Berkeley just for this dinner. And it didn't disappoint. The setting was excellent as was the service. The food was artfully placed on the plates and was very good. We brought 2 bottles of wine (local) with us and enjoyed them with no corkage charge. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.
This was our last night in Healdsburg, so we wanted something special. We picked Dry Creek Kitchen, and were not disappointed! The food was artfully presented, and was delicious. Wine pairings were tops. I especially liked the RR pinot Noir served with the duck dish.
This was an awesome experience! The food, service and atmosphere was phenomenal! While the halibut I ordered was a bit salty for my taste, Adam happily took it back and I was offered another dish. My husband cannot stop talking about the fois gras, which was amazing. Will definitely return next time in Healdsburg!
Very thoughtful friendly service. Lovely quiet atmosphere is good for business so you can hear everyone talk and romantic outings for its relaxed feeling.
The team works hard to accommodate dietary needs like gluten free. great selection for locally-sourced food and wine.
Since late last year, the chef seems to be driving many of the preparations towards a very smoky effect on meats and vegetables. Also salt has increased substantially in most of the entrees. Wishing Chef would balance that out to the historic menu style of years before that did not lean so heavily on salt and smoke. Or perhaps note more clearly which entrees will be Smokey and salty so if you dislike these intense flavors you can avoid them.
Very thoughtful gesture by the manager to welcome us with sparkling wine for a special occasion. The atmosphere and location is a neighborhood gem.
We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Dry Creek Kitchen. They made us feel so special! Sat us at a cozy table for 2, started us with a complimentary glass of champagne, took wonderful care of us all evening and wrote "Happy Anniversary" on our dessert! The food was amazing and was paired wonderfully with wine recommended by their Sommelier. A very special evening!
Meh. No welcome from host or acknowledgement -awkward. Same as we left Service from waiter was fine. Food was ok, not great. The first impression is made by the welcome (host). I think that soured us for the entire experience. There are so many great and welcoming restaurants in the square, I would have a hard time returning. Sorry
Absolutely beautiful evening. We had spectacular dinner selections of halibut and grilled filet, followed by a delicious desert featuring a chocolate multi layer cake. Great wine selection and great service. This restaurant is superb and the food expertly prepared and perfectly served. Delicious evening!
Ever since Chef Scott Romani has come to Dry Creek Kitchen, the food has become exceptional. Dry Creek Kitchen with Chef Charlie Palmer has always been named on local, seasonal and fresh ingredients. The service has always been outstanding. Highly recommended for personal dining or business meals and when friends get together. Every dish is exceptional.
We found ourselves in Healdsburg after turing around from a smoke filled Oregon road trip. After reading the stellar reviews we decided to give it a try and were lucky enough to find a table during the peak dinner hour. When we walked in, we were rather surprised to see the restaurant virtually empty. Only one table inside at 7:30pm and 3 tables seated on the front patio. Service was extremely slow and the server seemed bored. We ordered the melon appetizer salad, raviolis and each had the halibut for dinner. The appetizers were ok, noting special. The halibut was extremely crusty and dry. The flavors were good but it just didn't scream fabulous.....just so-so. The dessert, a fig, shortbread dish was also rather disappointing. We ordered a carafe of french press which tasted like water after letting it sit for 4 minutes. Our bill came to $175 without tip and included 2 cocktails and 2 glasses of wine . Over $200 for a very mediocre meal and service. Lastly. becuase it was getting a little cool towards the end of our meal, I asked for the heat lamps to be turned on. The lamps were on for a few minutes, then turned off because apparently they weren't functioning properly. Nothing about our dining experience would make us return. We've since learned the chef who originally put this restaurant on the map has moved to a new venue in Healdsburg. We'll book a reservation there next time around.
