This was our third visit to Dry Creek Kitchen. The food was excellent and very well prepared and served. There was a long delay in service at the end of the meal. My rating on food was not the highest because the first meal I had there was in the summer and the locally farmed produce that was part of the meal was spectacular.

Dry Creek Kitchen is a gem! The food and service are outstanding. The restaurant offers an imaginative, healthy cuisine inspired by the area's local farms. The chef even came to our table to introduce himself and tell us about the dishes. I would recommend this restaurant highly to anyone who enjoys high-quality food. The price point is high so this is the type of place to go for a special occasion. The lounge area features live music on the weekends.

We were so disappointed with our dinner. It was our first time dining there. We took friends, visiting from out of town, because the reviews had been so great. Both my husband and his friend ordered the butter lettuce salad as their app. It was a huge pile of leaves and not much more than that. Myself and his wife ordered the scallops as our main course. There were 3 salty scallops ( just 3) on the plate accompanied by some underwhelming vegetables. My husband ordered the fillet it tasted like it had been cooked earlier and was being kept warm. We devoured the bread which was excellent. Ordered a second loaf because dinner left us hungry and unfulfilled.

EXCELLENT SERVICE. FIRST COURSE BUTTER LETTUCE SALAD VERY GOOD. SECOND COURSE PORK LOIN OVER COOKED. DESSERT QUITE TASTY.

WIFE HAD ARCTIC CHAR AND SAID IT WAS GOOD BUT NOT EXCEPTIONAL. SHE DID NOT LIKE THE PRESENTATION (SKIN SIDE UP).

THIS WAS OUR SECOND TIME DINING AT THE DRY CREEK KITCHEN. FIRST TIME WAS OUTSTANDING. SECOND TIME GOOD.

The food and service was truly fantastic and it was an incredibly memorable experience. It was a relatively slow Monday night. The only issue or concern was the jazz duo played too loudly. We were not seated near them, yet they were so loud it sometimes was difficult to have a conversation. It was like the musicians were trying to be the star of the show, but the food was the true star!

My husband and I visited Dry Creek Kitchen for our anniversary and it was such a fantastic choice. The restaurant itself reminded us of high end places we have visited in NY. Service was outstanding and we were seated next to a live jazz duo that added ambiance without overpowering our conversation.

I highly recommend the peanut butter bars for dessert!

The food was delicious and beautifully plated. And I was touched that one of the waiters provided his personal readers for me to read the menu! However, the table we were seated at - although I had specified this was a special first date - was so darkly lit that I couldn't see the gentleman's face across from me. Even so, it was lovely and a great choice (restaurant and date! :)

We spent a week in the Napa area and had dinner out each night. Many great restaurants, but DCK was the best by far. Everything we tried was great. From the octopus and scallops to the filet, all were some of the best food we had the entire week.

We found the place too fussy and trying too hard; service was too fast-like they were trying to move the table. Food was fine but salad design was way off. Comes off as overly serviced and "packaged". Relying too much on Charlie's name.

Food was really great, but service was borderline insulting. We arrived on time for an 8pm reservation, and although multiple tables were open, we’re forced to wait for 20 minutes before being seated - without any apology from the staff. Took another 15 minutes before we received our menus, and 10 more before we could provide our drink order.

No offer of any apology or compensation (ie, drink) from anyone from staff. Although the food was generally very tasty and well executed, I would NEVER recommend the restaurant due to inattentive and insulting service.

MOST Disappointing

How does one of what is supposed to be Healdsburg's best restaurants bring to the table an organic chicken breast so overdone that I cannot cut it with a sharp knife? (I checked, the knife was indeed nice and sharp. I could have easily cut my finger with it.)

I asked if the chef was in the kitchen. Answer: yes. Shame on him and his staff. Someone had to cut the thing into three pieces to plate it...

In addition to the main course fiasco, my date had ordered the smoked trout appetizer but was served the ahi. As he said, "Dead fish." (Unlike me, he offered no complaint and ate half of the mis-delivered tuna.)

The service was also questionable at best. We ordered wine (great wine, a J Pinot Noir). The sommelier presented it, but neither he nor any other server ever poured us another drop. I also observed glasses at a neighboring table go empty for minutes at a time.

No one came during the meal to check on us, although my meal was scattered in hunks across the plate as I searched in vain for an edible bite.

To their credit, the chicken dish was removed from our bill. And the foie grass which was my appetizer was fantastic. BUT, half right is all wrong when it comes to fine dining.

Another extremely high quality dinning experience. Michelin needs to get in there and recognize the excellence. It's a ways from Vallejo, but we will always return for such fine service, wine, and menus.

Excellent dinner with my wife. We had flown in from Virginia and my wonderful sister-in-law had made us a reservation and given us a gift certificate. The food was quite good and the wine list amazing.

Definitely a place for a special occasion, but not priced to high, and it's also just a great place for an evening out.

We average 2 brief visits to Healdsburg per year. Although we live nearby in Santa Rosa, going to Healdsburg really feels like a getaway, a mini-vacation. The combination of dining at Dry Creek Kitchen and staying in Hotel Healdsburg is very enjoyable. The restaurant is open and nicely appointed. It is conducive to conversation. The staff is very professional. Service is outstanding. The food is very good and showing improvement. Everything considered, Dry Creek Kitchen is hard to beat.

We love DCK and its the one restaurant we come back to year after year. We love the service staff, the wonderful wine list, the lack of corkage for Sonoma wines, their support of the community (fires) and the properly sized portions with a huge variety of flavors in each dish. You are our Michelin star
