Enjoyed every course. Relaxed atmosphere, fabulous food!
Our last night in Healdsburg, we dined in style at Dry Creek Kitchen. The staff was attentive, the food delicious, and the ambiance beautiful... a perfect exclamation point to our brief Sonoma County visit. Manager Natasha Soto was delightful and informative, and graciously suggested I could order a side of the fiddle-head ferns - one of my favorite springtime treats that are rarely available back at home in South Florida. Simply lovely.
We tried Dry Creek hoping for a fine dining experience. Overall, the staff and service are excellent and the restaurant should be pleased to have such a dedicated team. However, the food was disappointing on many levels and there was a lack of attention to detail and refinement in the ambience as well. Wine-stained linens, vase missing it’s flowers, table with an intimate view of the meat slicer... The food lacks quality and well developed flavor profiles. The Alfredo dish was bland and we felt the filet mignon steaks were of poor quality, dry and flavorless. The salad had the base of the lettuce bunch on the plate. They responded with concern and tried to correct the situation with another dish which was appreciated. It just wasn’t a recoverable experience at that point and we left still needing something to eat.
Amazing evening with 6 life long friends celebrating a birthday. Dry Creek Kitchen made it a very special evening, service was very friendly. We are all wine snobs. Their sommelier was great letting us feel like we know more than we actually do while guiding us in the right direction and discovering some new and wonderful wines. Executive Chef Scott came out checked on us twice to make sure we were happy with our dinning experience. The lamb chop was very unique and spectacular as are the scallops. Tremendous wine list with very reasonable mark up. My 5th time at DCK going back tonight.
We have always wanted to go to this restaurant. We do not live that far away and just do not seem to get the time to really enjoy this wonderful historic city. Palmer always does it right and the attention to detail was as expected. We had the tasting menu, however my wife does not enjoy Lamb so they immediately substituted a very nice Halibut dish and changed her wine choice with it. The price was mid range for a meal and wine of this quality. I ordered a Vesper cocktail before dinner and it was made perfectly. We will return as often as we are in the area.
Service was very spotty and inattentive. And wine was not poured. Weird vibe.
Wonderful dinner from appetizers to dessert. The lamb and halibut entrees were excellent.
Dry Creek Kitchen is always a favorite when visiting Healdsburg! Was gun this trip introducing it to new family & friends!!!
Created our own tasting menu that was wonderful, somm did an excellent job pairing wines with each course. Service was just right.
Very good food but very expensive night out. Otherwise enjoyed.
Great service. And an “All Sonoma” wine list which was terrific!
Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Dry Creek Kitchen while visiting Healdsburg. Amazing halibut special after a tasty soup and salad. Had a little bit of a mix up delay in service with our order but the staff stepped in and went above and beyond to make it right. We will be back!!
A local favorite for fine dining and special occasions. My husband and I enjoy bringing our visiting friends/family to DCK for an authentic wine country dining experience, enjoying either the patio or interior dining room. Unpretentious, friendly, elegant, and delicious, as always- Bring a bottle of Sonoma County wine and the corkage fee is waived.
Outstanding food in a comfortable, attractive contemporary setting.
Fabulous food and service! Every course was surprisingly creative and excellent. Really wonderful service! I highly recommend Dry Creek Kitchen!
Large dining room with good ambience - not too noisy. Attentive, professional staff. They responded well to my request to not rush the courses which often happens when I dine alone. Huge (but local only) wine list with adequate numbers of wines by the glass option and also some half bottles. The size of the food portions (starter & entree) was too large for a comfortable meal. They could have been 2/3 the size for 2/3 the price and then I might have had room for dessert! The food was tasty but not overly memorable. The espresso coffee was OK but had a strip of lemon peel draped into the coffee - something I haven’t seen before and couldn’t be explained by the waitress. I was surprised that the restroom was in another building across an alleyway. Satisfactory experience but wouldn’t rush back.
Food was quite good, but the service was not. Glasses not cleared, waters not refilled. Our main server did an ok job introducing us to the menu, but then disappeared. Didn’t know details about the food and drink. Had to ask servers standing by to clear glasses (e.g., empty cocktail glasses, unused wine glasses for someone who wasn’t drinking) while we were waiting for the dessert menus. Noise level made it impossible to hear each other unless you were sitting right next to them.
The room is lovely and overall ambience very pleasing. Many, not all, the dishes were well executed and tasty. But you pay a lot of money to have a complete experience, with attentive, knowledgeable wait staff. This was not that experience.
Have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Always great food and exceptional service.
This restaurant is a conundrum. It can be brilliant and it can be much less so. Last visit did not meet our expectations. Probably will pass on our next visit to Wine Country.
Service and food were top notch as always!
Outstanding food and service. We had the tasting menu. All the wines were paired beautifully with the food. The truffle-blackened lamp chop: WAS. TO. DIE. FOR. Scotty is a genius chef.
Exceptional. Started with little gems salad and entree was a spectacular pork tenderloin, cooked to perfection. Creative and familiar at the same time. The service was also flawless. Perfect balance of attentive without pestering. Incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. Can’t wait to eat here again.
The staff was superb from the start of our dining experience.
The lamb and scallops were to die for.
Ahi tartare and salads with the homemade skillet bread was the icing on the cake.
Carrot cake was the bomb as well!
Three out of four of us didn’t like main course...having not listened to waiter’s suggestion when asked. I chose the lamb as recommended and it was great. The chicken was overcooked and dry—no excuse for this. It was almost painfully noisy at our table near the bar in center area. Despite these complaints, I’d try again because the menu is interesting. I’d do the tasting menu...
from the greeting at the door to the seating us at a lovely patio table to the staff filling water glassed to the our waiter to the amazing food and wine...the evening was flawless! will return again and again!
Food and service were exceptional. No corkage fee for local wineries 😄
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Healdsburg! Great for everyday dining or a special occasion! The Sonoma neighbor menu is always great - creative, delicious and a great value! I almost always order it - even when it has dishes that I don’t generally like....I find that when Chef Scott makes them I love them!!! We love this place
Kind of a “be seen” spot , but a fun stop for a drink at the bar or a special occasion dinner. Great wine list and cocktail choices.
Special paired meal with Jordan Wine and Cowgirl Creamery. Chef did a fantastic job - beautiful presentation and incredible taste combination!
Ordered chicken, took 50 minutes and very dry. Service was just okay.
Delicious meal, impeccable and friendly service. The wine list is extensive to the point of overwhelming but the staff was very helpful.
Excellent service and a fabulous meal on a beautiful early spring Easter evening made for a wonderful experience!
Food was phenominal and service was good but a bit slow. Was disappointed that the wait was long for our wine order as both bottles had to be chilled. Would have thought that the 2 nice bottle of Chardoney
purchased would already be at proper temperature for serving. Instead I had to look at it chilling across the restaurant for 15 minutes after ordering.
The service was good, the food was delicious (although the salad was very large). The ambiance is always good.
Awful service. P
This was our second year going for the Easter brunch. It’s a semi fixed menu where you choose an appetizer, main and dessert. The food was as amazing as ever and service is top notch.
The have a special Bloody Mary which comes with so many accompaniments- it should count as a course of your meal- celery, carrot, stuffed olive, bacon, peppers... it was an experience unto itself.
Also, the head chef Scott comes out and walks around greeting each table- nice touch.
It was our anniversary and we wanted to try a different restaurant for our special occasion. The ambiance and service was fantastic. The problem we had was the food every dish we received was incredibly salty. To the point my wife and I will probably not go back. Unfortunate!
Wonderful experience from service, quality of food and wine list. The lamb chops are truly exceptional
The food quality was excellent and portion size perfect - four course tasting menu was a good value. Although the wine pairing was good, it was pricey and wasn't served in synch with the lamb course. The atmosphere is very nice, intimate. The floor is carpeted and we noticed that kept noise level to a minimum, great for intimate conversation. Service, for the most part is polished. Was disappointing that our wait person was rather robotic, not personal, even after learning we had just arrived for vacation from Atlanta. No "welcome to Healdsburg" or anything like that which we would expect at a Charlie Palmer restaurant. Lastly, when the bus boy reset our utensils he grabbed them by the prongs of fork and blade of the knife rather than the handle. Seems like a simple training fix, although, I felt compelled to correct him after the second time this happened. Overall, yes, we liked the experience, and with some training for a few individuals, it's a very nice dining experience.
Not up to par. We last ate there two years ago it was just as bad. We ordered wine, they couldn’t find it and then just never said anything. After out food was served we asked about the wine and waited for 10 minutes before we just gave up on it. Our waitress dropped a serving tray, twice and another server dropped a bottle of red wine splashing it on our guests. My steak was charred on the outside and raw (not medium rare as ordered) on the inside. The meat was tougher than it should have been.
