Not the same pre Covid-19. Drinks were just ok, food uninspired.
We all know how difficult things are these days, but thought I could get a great steak from a place that touts their meat quality. The ONLY steak on their inadequate menu was an 8 ounce ribeye. My mistake to order this 1/2 inch piece of mostly fat! Server was very slow, but very pleasant. Asked for a heater, but did not receive one. We’ve been here several times while visiting the San Jose area. I will not come back.
Server was very nice, but took a long time to order.
Outdoor dinning sucks
First time returning to this place we love since outdoor dining returned. They have a nice setup w/tables around the fire pits or tents with a nice amount of privacy and private mini heaters.
The service was as wonderful as it always is - attentive and personal. The food was delicious - we had the BBQ and risotto.
Never disappoints. It was super great to revisit Dry Creek after a very long lull. This place is one of one and has been my go to since their doors opened while dancing and live music once played.
The revised menu options were perfect while the outdoor seating adjacent to the fire pits was ideal for winter. The new faces and service receives 6 star's.
I was very pleased to arrive early (4pm hour w/resy) and watch all the local patrons arrive with faces of joy. The note of record suggested reservations as they will be reopening (25%) for indoor dining in the coming week.
Support your local.
The menu is reduced for outdoor dining, the only dining available during the pandemic. We were fortunate to be seated by one of the outdoor fires, as there was a slight cool breeze that evening. My companion and I enjoyed our meals.
The risotto was tasteless and the Caesar salad with chicken was bland
Nice, safe, outdoor seating. We had a tent all to ourselves
We had an ok dinner here Friday night. I know restaurants are challenged with outdoor dining, but I think Dry Creek could have done better on the ambience. Junky looking white tents plus no outdoor heaters at all, only 2 fire pits not that close to tables, so it was cold. I will look forward to dining inside here when it's possible, but do not plan to come back and eat outside. Service was good though.
We went to Dry Creek Grill for Valentines Day. We always had good experiences there and the food was glad usual.
They had no control over the cold weather (55 degrees) but we expected heat units to offset the coldness of being outside. There was no heater, we were in an enclosed space but we were sitting on metal chairs and were very cold. They missed one of our salads and our entree was late coming. We had to ask when it was coming. We were a bit disappointed because our dinner was pretty expensive and we had a extra order to bring home too.
I very much enjoyed the food and the cocktails here.
The tents were great - very cozy. We sat by the fire pit. The whole experience was lovely.
3 friends seated in our own tent with three tent walls and an opening. Very cozy. Servers were prompt and attentive and the BBQ was amazing!
It’s a bit overpriced compared to the quality of food at competing restaurants. The wine selection buy the glass is poor. The service is very slow. But worth while to go to and sit outside by the fire if you’re in walking distance.
Disappointed with food and overpriced. Outdoor seating was not comfortable due to cold weather and seats. Quality of food seems to be getting worse. Drinks were ok.
The steak my husband ordered as medium rare came out well done and he had to send it back. This is not the first time this has happened here. The service however was fantastic.
Love the fire pits. Waiter was great
Indoor dining was good with the weather change. Tables were spread out and the only time I felt uncomfortable was when another guest did not wear his mask in the restroom.
I obtained my reservation 2 days ahead of time. I specifically requested indoor service. We arrived about about 30 minutes early. We were told that because of all the reservations there was no space available inside. I said that I had one of those reservations 2 days prior. I said we would wait until my reservation time. We were told I had to take an outdoor seat.
The food was OK, but not really worth the price. Service was ordinary. I left a tip much more than the experience was worth.
We have eaten at Dry Creek Grill many times. We love the place. Their cocktails, the food, and service. My wife always gets steak and I always get fish.
Our Fillet mignon was delicious but I miss the rib eye steak and the main menu but great food
Dry Creek Grill provides a comfortable atmosphere. The food was tasty and the service was excellent.
Had a birthday dinner on Thursday night, inside seating. Staff was cautious. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Wonderful time with family. Great food and service
First time visit to Dry Creek Grill and first time eating inside of a restaurant after covid-19 shut down. Generally I felt safe inside the restaurant. The food is good but not extraordinary for the price.
Had two glasses of wine each, split a Caesar salad & each had an order of beef stroganoff. No bread, no dessert, bill was $127.00 plus tip for two. Plus the plates were cool thus the main entree was cold.
It was wonderful to go back to our neighborhood favorite restaurant. Thank you Dry Creek Grill employees!
I’ve eaten here many times and all of their food is fantastic. I love the meatloaf. Its wrapped in bacon. Need i say more? Cornbread is delicious. Service is always great. Im a picky diner so Eat Here!
due to covid the place isn’t as packed as it normally is. that being said, there’s less staff so it takes longer to be greeted, order, and food to come out. when i went yesterday 10/17, the waiter came to the table once to check if the food was cooked to our liking. i had to flag someone down to get a refill of my coca-cola.
it took an hour to get our food and my steak was not cooked to my liking. i requested for medium rare, i received medium well. the server said they can place a new order but it would take 45 minutes. i have already waited an hour for food, i can’t wait another 45 minutes when i’m starving. i declined and just powered through the meal. i agree with the recent yelp reviews, currently it’s not worth the price. i hope they can stay alive with covid.
It’s just not the same eating outside, I know the restaurants doing the best they can.
What a nice relaxing evening on the patio! The food was delicious, especially the Mac and cheese.
I ordered the three meat plate and it was delicious. Not too much fat, a little too much sauce, but the chicken was my favorite. My boyfriend ordered the Burger and he loved it.
Great service, great Halibut!
We both had cocktails and an Impossible Burger. Everything was perfect, outdoor area is spacious and near the fire pit was a perfect temperature. Eric was an outstanding server.
Food is delicious as always. Wish they still served bread, but understand the covid rules you need to follow. Hope this covid control is over soon and we can all celebrate.
I would recommend it good food. But, I felt it was too expensive
Great time...staff was excellent...creative, unique cocktail menu.
Our meal was really delicious but the rushed service ruined our experience. Had we been told when we made the reservation or even when we got there that they needed to put a time limit, we would have been aware. Instead we were rushed through the meal and when the manager came over he wasn’t even nice.
Delicious food but I will never return.
