Dry Creek Grill Ratings and Reviews
We came here based on a recommendation for a group get together of 8 people. None of us had been here before. This is a great place for groups, with large square tables that accommodated our group very well. Despite the hard floors and celling, the noise level was reasonable and we did not need to shout over one another. Overall the bar service was good and they had a great wine and beer list. A few folks had cocktails (including a Sazerac that was made perfectly she said). Some of us opted for a cab (Trefethen). As far as food, we had some fresh crab stacks (special of the day) and a cheese plate (all local artesian cheeses). This place is known for their streaks and BBQ. I had a brisket and my wife had a steak. The brisket was ok, nothing great, but it wasn't bad. My wife raved about the steak. Overall, everyone was very happy with their meals. (one note, the dinner salads were quite large - you could probably split one or skip it if not super hungry). While we were deciding on dessert, they brought out a few complementary desserts for the people celebrating birthdays. The cheesecake was quite good. Overall, we would definitely plan to come back - especially for a group dinner.
Had the scallops, was very tasty, but the sauce a little too heavy and rich for me. Couldn’t finish it. Ambience is darker lighting, sleek sultry. Noise level is a bit of a problem. Hard to hear colleague talk. We sat in booth. Service was great, loved our waiter, he was personable and attentive.
This is my first choice when I want an adult special occasion dinner. The cocktails are great. This particular evening I went for a birthday dinner with two close friends. The service was attentive and the food was top notch. I ordered the Maple Glazed Porkchop, and it was exceptional - as always.
First of all, I love the Firecracker cocktail with Rye instead of Vodka. Now that I said it, the food here is always very good and the service is top notch. I keep going back to the bar bites, choosing the homemade potato chips and Burnt Ends! The salads are fresh and the meats are usually cooked to my preference. Occasionally the meat is overcooked (seemingly when they are very busy), but they are always accommodating. I've never made it to desert, so I can't comment. You never know how big the restaurant is from looking from the outside.
Consistantly great service - great attention from all the staff and the restaurant managers. If something is wrong with the meal, they will fix it immediately. Great specials - the new salads on the menus are wonderful, and beautifyly plated. All around, a really great restaurant.
I've been to Dry Creek Grill numerous times since they've opened; though a bit pricey, I've always had wonderful meals.
For no specific reason, I hadn't been there for around a year. Took two of my kids (both have accompanied me in the past numerous times) for dinner Wednesday night. My review:
Charcuterie plate - prociutto was old, chewy...definitely been in the referigerator way too long.
Salami tasted "off" . Server came by (after seeing me spit out a bit I was chewing), asked how it was, I told her I thought the meats were very old, definitely did not taste as they should.
Caesar Salad - dressing was practically tasteless. This surprised me, as I've always enjoyed it.
Mushroom burger - This is my "go to"; again, practically tasteless. I asked for extra roasted red pepper aioli - when it came with the dish, it looked as if they'd scraped it from the container, much of it looked as if it had been exposed to refrig without proper covering. Horrible taste, definitely not as I remembered.
Even the bread had changed - I recall there was always a variety, but no longer
New chef? Cutting corners? I won't be back.
This was our second time at Dry Creek and I was disappointed. I was so excited to return as dinner there the first time was so delicious. My pork chop had a burnt taste and the chutney surrounding it was too sweet for my taste as a pairing. Our server was nice but she seldom checked in and was terribly slow in getting it all going and wrapping it up. We were seated by the bar and it was understandably loud but just too much for a quiet evening. There must have been an unusually great amount of salt as we were both up in the middle of the night drinking several extra glasses of water.
I was very happy with our meal but surprised by the price of the cocktails.
Also, the take out meal I ordered leaked through the bag it was in and covered the front of my dress in oil. The cleaner isn’t sure he can remove it all. Probably should get leak resistant take out bags (waxed inside?).
I will, however, come back again.
The night was easy going and perfect. All the staff we encountered were awesome. The wait staff was understanding that our group was catching up so they gave us enough time to chat without us feeling like we were ignored. Fun night and would definitely go back!
