It was great to be back! We sat inside but their outdoor seating area looked great, almost like a private dinning area with curtains separating each seating area. Thanks, Dry Creek Grill. Always amazing!
The overall experience was good, though they ran out of 2 items on their speciality menu which was a bummer.
Went for mother's day. Portions of the sea scallop dish was disappointing. 4 scallops U-24-30 size. Service was slow, easier took over 5 minutes to greet us, 10 minutes to receive our drinks and forgot to bring bread and a high chair.
We started with cocktails - the mezcal based cocktail is dry, but worth getting. For dinner we had the loaded burger and the salmon with gnocchi . Both expertly prepared. The salmon in particular was a standout. About the most perfectly grilled salmon ever, and the gnocchi was excellent. Perfect service. Definitely recommend!
The server was very friendly and the food was tasty. I like the decor and all of the servers were attentive. My only tip is try to not be seated by the restroom.
A very nice mid level restaurant very much in the model of the Los Altos Grill. Of course the bar is quiet and things are a bit spaced out due to C-19 but overall it was a good night and dinner (so good to be back inside!). My wife and I rated it a solid B and will return. The short ribs were falling apart, as they should be, but way too many mashed potatoes and very little spinach, From an eating prospective and from visual the addition of more color would have been welcome.
The grill is clearly ready for great post pandemic eating out! Very nice ambiance and professional service.
The place is good just too dark entry, walk way and check in
The menu is still a little bit limited. I wished they would bring their pre-pandemic menu back now that capacity for the restaurant has increased with indoor dining options. Also noticed lots of changes among the staff. The restaurant ambience is still very nice, so I will definitely be coming back here.
Was not impressed at this visit. Took 20 minutes to get our drink order put in, 35 more minutes to receive the drinks. Our order for dinner was taken an hour after we had been seated. The food was just OK and a second order of drinks was never received but did show up on the bill that we also had to flag the waitress down to get. It was a pretty agonizing 3 hours. It may have been that were not enough workers present but honestly it didn't look like they were moving very fast nor were stressed.
It will be nicer when we don't have to keep putting our masks on and off during dinner. everything else was very good.
Not having been here in over a year because of covid, we were excited to finally go back. Sadly, the food was disappointing. My husband ordered a hamburger medium rare and received it well done. I had the mixed bbq plate which was ok but I was mostly looking forward to the cornbread that came with it but only received a teeny tiny wedge of it. If I had known that was all I would receive I would have gotten a side order of it, it's that good. Lastly we had to sit outdoors which is not unusual these days. However the outdoor accommodations inside a tent were cold, windy and the chairs were metal mesh and very uncomfortable. Bring a seat cushion if you go! Finally I want to say our service was very good 👍
When they get their full menu back, I'll go there again. Until then, I'll wait it out.
Mediocre food, confused service. Used to be a favorite
Well prepared, well seasoned meals (Been there more than once).
Decent atmosphere indoors, given the open ceiling - the noise carries, so the crowd sets the volume.
Nice bar and drink selection, wide variety of food choices as well.
Thank you so much. So sorry you had that sub-par service from one of our staff. We are incredibly grateful that you pointed it out and brought it to our attention, giving us the opportunity to address it and fix it. Thank you thank you for hanging in there with us while we rehire, retrain new staff! We'll make the adjustments, training and it will be less bumpy/awkward next time you come in. For all our guests, you just did everyone a huge favor. Can't thank you enough!
A little chilly sitting outside, but not too bad. bring a coat. The service was fair at best. Limited staff working which meant food was delayed in being served and mistakes were occurring with the order.
Great dinner, we loved the food and the cocktails were amazing!
Food was good, service fair and slow. Prices are expensive.
Great food and great service. Wonderful to be able to go out and Celebrate again!
Just because we sat outside
Dry Creek has done the best to make it a great experience
Should give a five star
The beef stroganoff was EXCELLENT, the salmon entree was also very good. Attentive wait staff. The only recommendation is that they improve their dessert menu. We had the lemon tart. It was the only thing disappointing about our evening.
Great outdoor dining experience. My first one in a year. Friends and I loved food and service
We ate at Dry Creek Grill a few weeks ago and had the amazing salmon dish. It was fabulous then. We came back two days ago to have the same dish. The fish was fishy and didn’t taste as good as the last time. The server was lovely and the ambiance ok, but we a bit disappointed in the quality of the food this time. Perhaps it was just an off night.
The service was lackadaisical and the food was just so so; the sea bass was not quite cooked as was the zucchini was too crisp; plus a ton of oil/fat in the bottom of the dish was a bit off putting; wine choices were were not that spectacular for the prices; At least a La Crema or Rombauer in Chardonnay category would have been expected; we will not be back; it was disappointing
The serice was great and the food delicious. Will go back as soon as we can
Service was subpar, didn’t mention our birthday we were celebrating, the food was not very good. Very disappointing overall, we have been there before and it was great, but unfortunately it is no longer the same place.
This is the last time I’ll ever go to Dry Creek Grill. It took over an hour for my table to receive our food. The waiter ignored us the whole time we were there and the bussers were the only ones checking in on us. The food tasted cheap and not good at all. I have came here a dozen times pre-covid and loved my experiences, I guess a lot has changed other than masks.
Did not like the fact about being charged 2 corkage fees total $50. Plus were there for a birthday and could have put a candle as a nice touch in a little something.
Had an early dinner indoors and felt very comfortable - good distancing between tables. Cocktails were fine. Jim salad was bland. Risotto and brisket entrées were both good. Service was slow, and our waiter seemed disinterested.
We’ve been to this restaurant multiple times before, and this wasn’t our best dining experience. We will probably go back in a while and just have a cocktail and appetizer to see how things are going.
Celebrated our wedding anniversary.
We are so glad to be back!
The food was incredible. I ordered the Steak Frites and my wife opted for short ribs. Both were cooked to our preference (medium rare). Our server (erich) made the evening special. We’ll be back.
Excellent meal, great service. It was great to be back.
Love this place. Service is always great. Glad they are surviving and the food was good.
Lovely Easter dinner. The service and food were outstanding. Thanks, we will be back.
My wife and I had a great experience here for her birthday. Drinks were good and food is good.
The bacon cheeseburger was AMAZING!! It was so flavorful, excellent fries and really filling! The service was great! The veggie risotto was well cooked, but it only had a few pieces of the winter veggies - it really needed more veggies. It was pretty bland.
Sorry to say but the DCG has gone way down in quality and experience. We used to love to dine there. The last few times we've gone we have noticed that the food quality isn't as good as it used to be. Service is okay, they hired a new guy who was a floater who was excellent, had it not been for him, our experience would have been awful. With all the dining on the patio, there should be a manager/maitre d' out there to make sure service is going well. It honestly took forever to get a server to come over to our table, over 15 minutes which is not ok in my book. Then our dinner took forever to arrive. I don't know that we will be back, unfortunately.
We sat at the bar inside and had a fantastic experience with Jaime, the bartender. He was really friendly and attentive. We were at DCG to celebrate a birthday and were really looking forward to it after more than a year since our last visit. The menu isn't as robust as it once was but I'm sure that will improve over time.
We've been going to DCG regularly over the years and have always enjoyed it; the ambience, the staff, and the food. Probably because of being closed for so long to in-house patrons and just recently re-opening, our experience fell way short of previous visits.
We started with a couple of cocktails and the Korean chicken wings. Loved both and were excited about ordering dinner. I ordered the veggie risotto and my friend ordered the ribeye, medium rare. The ribeye has always been one of our favorite meals and we've never been disappointed until this visit. When it arrived, we were surprised at how thin it was; probably no more than half an inch. Previous orders of this dish contained ribeyes that were on the order of 1" thick. They were juicy and able to be cooked perfectly as medium rare or rare. This steak arrived well-done, somewhat tough, and not very tasty. We returned it (the staff was very gracious and understanding) but the second attempt was only slightly better. It is nearly impossible to cook a steak that thin to a medium rare temperature will maintaining taste and texture.
The manager that night told us that they had indeed switched to smaller portions of the ribeyes. We felt that didni't represent the DCG standards we were used to. We felt that steak dish we received was way overpriced at $33. And, honestly, my veggie risotto was just so-so.
Wrapping this up, we were disappointed in our visit and might not be so anxious to return soon. We'll monitor reviews to see if improvement is seen. We also miss the vibrancy.
Can't lavish enough praise on Jaime, though. He's a great employee and representative for DCG!
Very Tasty and great service ! Very nice place!
