I had the special for the night and it was a mako shark filet. It was amazing! My wife had the filet mignon, also amazing! The steak was expensive, but you should know going in that this place is a bit pricey, but we’ll worth it! Our waiter was amazing per the usual. Everything about this place is top notch!
This occasion was excellent. Not so in the past but must acknowledge this time excellent
The Drunken Oyster is always great! We had a 7 o’clock reservation and we’re seated immediately upon arriving. The restaurant was pretty full. Our waiter, Aiden, was very nice and very helpful with any thing you need.
After getting our drink order and delivering our drinks, Aiden took our order. We ordered Calimari, which was superb, two salads and entrees. My Caesar salad was huge. It was a meal in itself. My Chicken Creole was awesome.
My only complaint was that it felt rushed. Once our appetizer arrived we barley got a first bite and our salads arrived. A couple minutes later our entrees arrived. This was all within 10 minutes of our being seated. We paid our check at 7:30; half hour after being seated. I don’t blame Aiden for this; he couldn’t have been better. Next time though, I won’t place our entire order at the same time. I’d wait for the the appetizer to come before placing our dinner order.
Other than feeling rushed this past time, this place is one of our top restaurants in town. We love this place!
It was my first time going and it was beyond my expectations! They had our table ready when we got there, the drinks were great, appetizers so good and the entrees were phenomenal, and the beignets were the perfect dessert to end it! Service was spectacular. We had one issue with a cocktail but it was fixed immediately with no hassle. It was pricey overall, but worth it for the experience and great for a night out with friends or a date. They even had a live jazz band! 10/10 would recommend and I will be going back for sure!
I love their food but hate the pricing and most of all the music they play on their sound system. Genre does not fit their guests and is inappropriate for any restaurant to be playing. Ruined the atmosphere and cheapened a high end restaurant.
Because if COVID we requested a table outside. Inside was crowded and dark. Not appealing to me. We sat not too far from the street and had a lot of traffic noise. Also, there were flies all the time!
Great Food and great service for a Sunday Brunch. Kayla did an outstanding job at our table. Place was packed, live music was a nice touch however the volume made it hard at times to talk at the table. Excellent meal, will be visiting again soon.
The food was delicious, but overpriced. Service was good. The music was bad and too loud.
Joshua was a great server & the food was over the top. Best creole since we visited NOLA!!
Went for Brunch. The food was amazing. Atmosphere was great. Had a live singer on the guitar and she did great. Will definitely be returning to try their dinner options.
Excellent as always.
Mason our server was spot on! Food was delicious.
Do not get me wrong, I love everything about the Drunken Oyster. I love the live entertainment but sometimes once in awhile the sound system is a little to loud.
We had brunch and Emily George was playing with her Grand Dad. So much fun. The brunch menu is great. Just enough. I had a specialty Bloody Mary with Tequila that was spectacular. Service was professional. Food came out fast and hot.
Yeah. Ill be back to sample dinner menu for sure. Loved the ambience.
My server Bryson was amazing, the shrimp appetizer great, lobster tail awesome but other than that everything was a huge disappointment. My Alfredo was very cold. A fellow diner, found a black bug crawling under her steak, while she was cutting it. The bug did not have wings and was very greasy as if he had been there for sometime. Our server was unavailable so we notified a server near by. His first words were you sitting in the patio so there’s nothing we can do about it, all I can do is have you another steak made. Once our server came back to the table and realized what happened, he was very embarrassed and emphatic. He went to get the front manager and the manager had a very “not my fault, not my problem attitude and offer no solutions. He was very passive aggressive. The replacement steak finally came, we made the 306 tab and left. While looking at the receipt in the car, we noticed that we were charged for both steaks, the infected one and the new one. We went back into the restaurant and the price of one of the steaks was removed. Smh worst customer service ever.
Wanted to take my Fiancé somewhere nice, we’d heard a lot about this place…. This place is Off The Chart!!! Amazing, outstanding, exceptional service, everything was top notch! We will be back and have already been recommending this place!!!
Our Aiden was amazing. He was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We absolutely love Drunken Oyster.
I went in expecting some good “traditional” Cajun food. THE FOOD WAS GREAT, but it was more like “TEX-CAJUN.”
I honestly have never had Crawfish Etouffee with Zucchini in it and no rice.
But it had great flavor and I was satisfied with the meal.
Good food, the Oysters were good, the Mahi Mahi was very well cooked as well as the lobster tail
On arrival you can already tell you’re in for a heck of a meal. The ambiance is wonderful, music is loud enough to hear but not loud enough you can’t hear conversation. The waiting staff was terrific and the food was outstanding. It’s on the pricy side but it was a great experience. I cannot say enough good things about it. Will be back again.
Overall good service. this meal is a favorite when we come here, and the live music is a nice touch.
Been looking for good seafood for a long time and finally found it!! Our new place to go!! Well staffed and lots of teamwork, very friendly and pleasant!
New youk strip and filet were horrible. All grisle could not finish
Amazing food and service. We will definitely be back.
Overall an incredible experience. We had brunch and the drinks, food and service were great.
Food was delicious, a bit overpriced for what we got but that should be expected going to a nicer restaurant. Music was pretty loud which made it hard to talk to the person next to me, that is one of my typical pet peeves at most restaurants. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, the lights were turned very low inside and the tables were lit with tea lights it made dinner feel a little more romantic. Our waitress was a little slow, I think she was new, but she was very friendly and got all our order correct which I appreciate. This is definitely not a place we will ever routinely go but for a nice date night out it was pretty good.
Everything was amazing- from start to finish. Great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service! Will definitely be back!
Waiter Austin was excellent
It was great!
The service is of a higher level than other places in Amarillo and the food is amazing and more authentic Cajun than other places in Amarillo. I would highly recommend for a date night or other special occasion!
Our server Dalyn was beyond attentive. Best service I’ve had in Amarillo by far! The place was busy with a special comedy show, but still food and service was 💯
Really amazing food. We have dined here several times and tried different entrees each time. Always delicious. Live music is fun and atmosphere is special. Service is always the best!
Great as always!
We were trying on a recommendation as we were traveling. Great service. Friendly and knowledgeable. Wait times for food were short. Drinks were good and they have a nice selection. We liked the jazz live music was great. Definitely will be back.
Food was good, but overpriced for what they served. The appetizer of hot fried oysters was the best part of the meal. Atmosphere was a bit crowed to hear the next tables conversation. The atmosphere didn’t match the price. Entree was the special of a crab in linguine and vegetables, good but again overpriced. The desert menus looked good and ordered Beignets that oddly looked and tasted like a sopapilla, not a good one at that. Overall The Lost Cajun and Lazy Gator are just as good and much better value.
Service was excellent - as was food! We were there early and a band was warming up for a later performance. Might have been a bit loud once the band started but we were done beforehand! Great meal
Love it! The oysters are the beat ever! Food and service are stellar
Great Food, Drinks and Service ... visit with confidence and ENJOY!
Went for my anniversary, posted that on my reservation, but they didn’t acknowledge it. No big deal! I asked the server for a recommendation, blackened fish or ribeye, he said they make a fantastic ribeye… and he was 100% correct. The ribeye was seasoned very well and cooked perfectly. I will definitely return!!
