Great Service and great food. We all (the three of us) had different entrees, and we all left knowing this is one of our top area restaurants and THE top seafood restaurant. It was a treat, we will be back again and again!
I’ve lived in Amarillo for 25 years. This was the best dining experience I’ve ever had in this town.
The food was fantastic as always! They fly the oysters and fish in everyday so it’s always delicious and fresh! Really great patio seating too with lots of room to social distance.
Great service always had our drinks refilled without asking! Waiter answered all our questions and had a great personality!
What a fine evening we shared at Drunken Oyster! Our spot at the bar was waiting for us when we arrived and we enjoyed the grilled oysters as a starter. We followed the oysters with gumbo and other house specialties. All were delicious! The highlight of the evening was the 4-piece jazz combo that played for the evening. An excellent night!
Will be going back!! It was a tad bit loud with music... but just drink more and get louder! LOL. Service was A+++
So many fresh oyster options from both Pacific and Atlantic. In Amarillo!
So I showed up, for a table and it was packed, on a Wednesday in Amarillo, who knew.
I sat at bar with my clients and had a grea time.
Food was (is always) amazing. Staff was very accommodating and moved our table when we were too close to speakers. This is a great restaurant with a great atmosphere. Love music entertainment is fabulous. All around great time!
Great food , good service - the oysters and the steak especially great and I love the mousse - great drinks- The absinthe experience was also wonderful .....if you get the crab legs and lobster make sure they have melted butter available and the tools to crack the crab legs - they did not the night we were there - I would stick with oysters and steaks
Great place! Food is yummy, desserts are great, extensive bar selection, fun date night place.
Good, consistent quality. Personal attention from waiters and managers is great.
The food and service were outstanding!
Food, service, drinks and all were amazing! We will definitely be back!
Fabulous food. Everything we tried was wonderful. Wait staff was helpful and made good recommendations. Pineapple Mojito was delicious. We went Saturday night and they had live music. It got a little loud but the artist was enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
Delicious food and amazing service
My wife and I went to Amarillo for pleasure . We checked this restaurant on the web and they had good reviews and a interesting menu for food a drinks. We had a great night. The service by Kayla was great. The food was excellent. We had fresh oysters, Cesar salad and some shrimps in a spicy tomato sauce recommended by Kayla. I would definitely recommend it they also practice social distancing and you have to wear a mask to be sit.
The atmosphere was great. The food was great. The service was great & the manager came by to check on us.
Everything about this place is amazing! A special shout out to our waiter, Dillon, who was very thoughtful and accommodating!
The food was amazingly delicious and the service was terrific! I will be back!!
Food was excellent as always. We had Snapper Cakes and Charbroiled Oysters to start. Beef Bourguignon, Bouillabaisse, and Scallops w/ Risotto. Much argument about who had the better dish. Service from Shelby was great. Very good cocktails and a decent selection of wine, though the markup on the wine is a bit higher than I'd like to see. Live music. Place was packed. Great way to spend a Friday evening with friends. Highly recommend.
First time to visit the drunken oyster.
Two other couples joined us. It was nice, food good just a little pricey. Band was playing in front of our table so was a little too loud
One of my favorite spots in Amarillo TX. Food is always great and service as well.
The service was friendly, the ambiance was very nice and the food was some of the bets seafood I have ever had. We will definitely be stopping here every time we stay in Amarillo.
Love, love, love the shrimp and grits - husband ordered (first time for him) and the grits were a little off; not terrible by any means, but I tried some of his and noticed that they weren’t as good as they usually are, he said the shrimp was good though!
My order was good too, but some of the side potatoes were undercooked - not a super big deal and we didn’t tell server, just a tad disappointing for the cost. Our drinks, appetizers and desserts were fantastic and we had two amazing servers! Not our first time dining in and we will definitely be back!
Excellent atmosphere, service was stellar and the food was wonderful. For me this is special occasion dining because it is pricey, but definitely worth it. Overall it was a great experience.
We have been several times. Every other time has been great. This time the food wasn’t cooked properly, my husbands order was wrong and the music was way too loud. We couldn’t even hear or talk to each other. When you spend 100 dollars you expect the meal to be great.
Great menu selection. Staff was polite and prompt.
As a chef I often find myself disappointed in higher end restaurants but that is not the case for the Drunken Oyster. The seafood was fresh and high quality. The Lobster Mac had so much lobster and was by far some of the best I have ever eaten. The tempura Shrimp paired perfect with a fresh Sangria. We went on a night with live music and while it was loud it matched the energy of the restaurant and still allowed for an amazing date night. Big thank you to the men and women working at the Drunken Oyster.
The food was excellent as was our server Becca. We’ll definitely be back!
We were just driving through and stopped in for dinner. Accommodated our request for "socially distanced" table with no hesitation. Food was well prepared and cocktails excellent. The only thing that might have been improved upon was for our waiter to not "rush" the next course.....I was still eating my entree when he brought over the dessert menu. Would be nice to have a pause between appetizer - entree - dessert.
It was an amazing anniversary date night!! And I’ve never had better service!!
Service was fabulous! Pretty noisy inside, if it wasn’t for the heat, we would have sat outside for this reason. One of our plates came out really cold, but the issue was fixed immediately, and a manager compensated with our drink order. The rest of our plates were really good. This wasn’t our first time at Drunken Oyster and it definitely won’t be our last!
This was a great date night experience! The portions were small but just right to be full and not stuffed or have to deal with leftovers if you were not going straight home. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly and you could see her smile even with a mask on. Not sure what this would be like for kiddos but would be so fun with group of friends.
The food was outstanding, we enjoyed our time there. Between having to wear masks and the music, it was difficult to hear/order. We enjoyed the music once we ordered.
The Beignet ice cream sandwich is one of the best desserts I have ever eaten.
Great food, usually great service, music is a little loud, prices are high.
Quick service and exceptional food make this restaurant such a gem. The environment is so relaxing and it’s so easy to lose track of time when you’re dining here.
I had not been to Drunken Oyster in a long while. I went primarily to hear my friend, Ruth Ellen Lynch, and her band play. We had asked for a table to be held for us so we could see/ hear the band. This was done.....the host seated us very graciously and professionally. Our food was very good, cooked just the way we asked and we didn't even have a long wait, although the entire restaurant/ bar was full within thirty minutes of our arrival. There was very good "social distancing" between tables, the ladies room was clean and the inside temperature made it very comfortable. My friends were "only going to stay a little while".....ended up almost closing the place down! We WILL be back!
Amazing food and excellent service! Thank you!
