   One of my favourite spots, and I cannot wait to return. Delicious small plate menu, which is perfect for sharing. Incredible cocktails to top it off.

   Food was delicious and inspired. Tempura squid and octopus squares were highlights. Ambience and staff were brilliant. Chairs were a bit high and took a bit of a jump to get into but that's not really a problem.

   The Drunken Lobster was recommended by a friend and didn’t disappoint, the food was fantastic a good selection for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters, presented well and the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Would recommend to anyone

   Amazing food, lovely helpful staff, cosy small perfect decor and lighting, very lovely place! It needs to be small to be good. Don't be put off by the fact it's tapas/small plates and the prices! Nothing like this on the island it's an amazing experience, I hope the menu changes with the season! I will recommend the lychee cocktail and the lo bak go! Will definitely be coming back!

   Delicious food - we tried the chefs choice of small plates and was worth every penny. Loved trying so many different flavours in one meal. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and ambience and background music were spot on. Thoroughly recommend.

    The food was absolutely delicious, a great variety of small plates, ideal for sharing with - good variety of dishes for vegetarians. Highly recommend a visit and they are dog friendly!

    This is our second visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu change/update and were eager to try what was new. Everything was incredible we highly recommend the soft shell crab bao and the short rib bao, both of which we ordered a second time. Cannot fault the service, always a pleasure to be there and you feel so welcome.

    It's a small but welcoming restaurant, we were so glad to have booked a table. There were lots of small plates to choose from, we ended up sharing 5 between us. Especially liked the prawn dumplings and tempura prawn dishes but everything was well cooked and very tasty. The service was great.

    The food was excellent, the different tastes and textures were amazing and we're complimented by some very tasty cocktails and wine. Went with my 2 friends for a belated celebration . We had the counter table and stayed all evening. The ambiance was chilled and relaxing.

    Fabulous - first time there, and was not disappointed. Much as I live living on the Isle of Wight, I have really missed Japanese / Asian food, so I’m really pleased to have something available in Ventnor, with such interesting and tasty food

    We hadn’t realised it was a Japanese restaurant but it turned out to be a real treat. We ordered the entry level priced red wine which was fantastic. The waitress took all the time needed to explain the menu and the best way to order. And all the food was delicious! We will definitely be coming back and also trying more Japanese food in the future

    Excellent original dining experience. Every dish was delicious. Rather cramped and noisy in the Drunken Lobster but the Smoking Lobster is expected to re-open soon after an electrical fault.
