Honestly it was an amazing night and it always is at drunken fish! Also, our waitress was phenomenal!!! So helpful, quick, efficient, and funny! We had an outstanding night! :)
I had the best server. Thanks for your services Larry
Love going to Drunken Fish. Reservation before a concert (Elton John) and we unfortunately were late for our reservation due to traffic and construction issues. Staff was very workable with us and even though we did not sit down until 6:50 pm the server was able to get us served in plenty of time to make the concert that started promptly at 8pm. Drunken Fish is my favorite spot before a concert!
The food is delicious and the workers are professional.
Went during happy hour and had lots of good deals. The dessert was amazing, as well. (Fried Strawberry cheesecake.)
45 minutes for an appetizer (spring roll). Even when I ordered it 20 minutes before the sushi, as an appetizer, it came out at the same time as the sushi. Sushi was warm?? and rice was undercooked (stale/hard). I really like the way the space looks and that it's near P&L. I asked to talk to a manager and was never brought one. 2/5 overall.
It was a great experience! I had been there before a few years ago, and it’s still just as good! Would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone!
The food was really good. The waitress was helpful in explaining different items to us and she checked on us often. We'll definitely be back!
Great sushi, great prices. We went at 5:30 on a Saturday, so I'm guessing the few small issues we had are not highly usual, we just got there at a bad time. Switching servers and lunch into dinner timing caused a crowd. No waiting area, so you had to fight your way in and out the door. Service was so-so, but she was really hustling. She just had too many tables, and I'm thinking she was either head server or assistant manager because other servers were all going to her for assistance. All in all, very good food at a very reasonable price, especially considering the location. Also, more kids than I've ever seen in a sushi restaurant.
Shannon the GM was amazing! She went above and beyond. The food was spectacular! I would highly recommend.
Nice ambiance. High energy. Overpriced. Would recommend going once.
Didn’t get sushi. Extremely bland and inedible. Seemed popular so sushi must be better. Calamari a frozen product
The service was terrible. We had a reservation, and we saw them move a couple to a table clearly ready for us. Then they tried to seat us right by the freezing front door/hall area. We said we would wait for a table and stepped aside. When they saw we could see two additional tables open, they rushed to seat us. The server also didn't seem to know what was going on, split the bill incorrectly, forgot to bring drinks after they were ordered, and forgot one of our sushi rolls. The food was fine, but my martini was really small for the price. Overall, it was the complete lack of attention and service that was the downfall. I will go to Nara next time.
The last four times I’ve been here the waiters have not made my experience good at this location . The food is good and I always had made this location my go to prior to a big event but it has really been a disappointment for my friends and I.
Drunken fish was a great place for sushi! Food was good and averagely priced.
It’s been wonderful every time we’ve been there! Great food and a good time.
Loved the lobster spring roll appetizer. The mango roll and sashimi were delicious as well!
TERRIBLE Service. Hostess, who I assume was the manager was very rude. Asked for happy hour seating in our reservation. 1st hostess told me it would just be a few minutes. Second hostess who i believe was the manager seemed very annoyed with me cause they don’t reserve tables for happy hour, but the first hostess didn’t tell me that. Ordered a drink when we sat down and that was the last time we saw our sever for over 45 minutiae. I finally flagged him down And asked for our check (still no drink brought) he brings the check and the drink and still charged us for us. First time dining here. Will never return.
Had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary! Sushi was fabulous, pricing was as expected. Our serverice was awesome. Everything start to finish was spot on.
Really great sashimi. We went there twice during our stay in KC. Really great meal if you’re watching your calories
Had a great birthday dinner at the Drunken Fish. It was our first visit, after hearing a lot of good things about the restaurant, and we were not disappointed. All the different sushi rolls we tried were fresh and delicious. I also had the seafood udon noodles, and they were amazing. There was a ton of shrimp and scallops in the serving, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. We even tried the strawberry cheesecake roll for dessert, and it was out of this world. Our server was very friendly and informative, providing information on several of the different dishes, and giving some suggestions on things we may like. Overall we were very pleased, and will definitely return!
We eat here maybe 5 times a year. Always tastes amazing and has great food quality. We are bar sitters, last bar tender we has was top notch and she was on her game. This trip not so much, not sure if the dude just came down from a coke high or just messed up on allergy/cold meds. He could barely wipe down the bar or keep an order straight. We’ll still go back though.
Great food little pricey but worth it
Service was good, but the food was nothing to write home about, especially for the price.
Sushi was fresh and delicious! Reasonably priced for sushi! Would TOTALLY go again!
Arrived with expectations raised. Waited for our reservation like multiple people have stated. Service was excellent. Food was average. We had the lobster springrolls, a spider roll, and another roll I’ve already forgotten about. It was not a memorable sushi place and not worth the paid parking to eat at. I would go and eat again, but it would be because I was in the area, not a destination restaraunt.
Took a bit to get seated, 15 minutes after reservation, all in all a solid meal.
Very nice selections. We had several appetizers & shared a main. Great food. Definitely returning.
Disappointed in our visit. Our server forgot to bring us our appetizer, food was ok, dessert took forever to come out and was just ok as we’ll. Will not be back .
As always the food was excellent. We went with 2 other couples and I had encouraged them to get the groupon that they offered. That was a mistake it's in the fine print that you can use only one per table. Managers wouldn't budge.
It was my husband’s birthday, and they took very good care of us. Would definitely return!
Great food and fun atmosphere. I am not a big sushi fan usually, but I like Drunken Fish
Food was great, as usual, service was awful. I have eaten here many times and this was the worst service we ever had, too bad.
I don't like leaving poor review, but we were very disappointed in our overall experience. The restaurant had an odd smell, as if there had been a sewer issue that was cleaned up with bleach. The decor was dated, torn fabric on the booth we were seated at. Our waitress was excellent however the food was nothing special. Will not return and would not recommend.
Came here for my 25th birthday and had a blast! The sushi was amazing! I definitely plan on coming back for more!
Quiet and Contemporary Ambiance. Excellent customer service. Chris was a great waiter. Every time my lemonade was nearly gone he refilled it. The rainbow rolls were my favorite. But the California rolls, Philly rolls and St. Louis rolls were also delicious.
It was exceedingly mediocre. Nothing specifically wrong - just kind of bland and boring, especially for the medium-high price point. I've had much much better in a hole in the wall place. Plus it was just loud and the server, while not rude or anything, was inattentive and rushed.
We love this restaurant but we had a terrible experience. They were out of almost every food item we tried to order. They also ran out of all cocktails and specialty beer. Ordering was a guessing game as we tried to find something they actually had in stock. The service was so bad we started laughing at one point. For example, dessert came with no spoons (they don’t provide them in the napkins.) The dessert coffee came so late that we had eaten our dessert and were ready to pay by the time the server remembered to bring it out. Then the coffee came without any creamer or sugar and our server disappeared once again. This was one of many things that added to a terrible experience. We were just ready to get out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. They weren’t busy which would at least explain the terrible service. The food we were able to order was good and I hope they improve their service quickly as we’ve always loved eating there.
Worst service ever... we were shoved in a corner and never checked on.. took 58 minutes to get a water and dessert came out before entree
