About
Poor service; no specials, no catch of the day and out of other menu items. Will not return.
Overall a very pleasant dining experience. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Saturday night. I would encourage folks to give it a try as the food was very good and the dining room is tastefully decorated.
As soon as we walked in the door, we were welcomed with a warm greeting from the manager. We were seated promptly at a great table! Our server was equally nice. We had several questions about the menu and all were answered honestly which we appreciate! My husband ordered a beer and I had a glass of Pinot noir. For appetizers we ordered the baked clams and calamari. The baked clams were delicious! And the calamari was lighted fried and came with two dipping sauces. The marinara sauce was very good.
For our entrees, my husband had the pappardelle with boar ragout. It was highly recommended by our server. I had the shrimp and scallops dinner. Both were delicious! Decent portions...not too much and not too little. I was happy to see that my scallops were large and they melted like butter. I subbed the veggie of the day for sautéed spinach and it was very good.
They have two dessert choices and we chose to have the cannoli. It was super fresh and really good. We would have liked to have had more dessert choices, maybe next time! I also had the Drinis Martini with my dessert. Soooo good and refreshing.
All in all, I would definitely come to this restaurant again and try some different dishes. We had a very positive experience and I will be recommending to others. The entire time the server and manager checked on us to make sure our evening was perfect! And it was!
Interesting menu, good service, delicious food. Had the octopus appetizer and linguine with clams and mussels. Excellent.
Service and food were very good - the only problem was the air conditioning - it doesn’t work - it’s August - very hot in dining room - bar area was a pleasant temperature. No mention of AC problem when seated - should be fixed.
Went for a nice evening to catch up with friends. Appetizers were yummy grilled octopus, crab cakes & burrata mozzarella all hit the spot. Our main courses were equally delicious. 2 of us had shrimp & scallops & the other 2 had Drini’s chicken. I would have liked a mojito but they were all out of mint so I had a Reisling. Our waiter seemed a little shy & wasn’t quite sure of himself. The owner was gracious & pleasant. At the end of the meal he sent over after dinner cocktails & thanked us for dining in his restaurant. Would definitely return. Would like to sit outdoors once the humidity leaves.
Only disappointment, they were out if filet of sole and did not other fish substitute on the Pre-Fix menu.
I found the food and service very good. Was surprised how empty it was. Encourage others to try
Delicious food, interesting menu, good service. Highly recommend.
Only one server. Understaffed
Drinks were poorly made
Formally 202 Steakhouse, Drini's Tavern has been thru a lot of changes lately. We were so happy when we had dinner there to see it back to being a top dining choice in upper Westchester. The service was wonderful, the food out of this world. Great steaks, lamb chops, appetizers, drinks. You can eat in the formal dining room or grab a bite at the very nice bar. They have a $18.95 dinner that we want to try (if I can resist their steaks!) This is a neighborhood gem.
Middle of residential areas. Well worth the drive. House setting with outside patio. Went for father's day service was great. No rushing you great relaxed atmosphere. Definitely going back. Food was great.
Super quiet for a Tuesday night. Service and food were fine. The price for the food quality was very reasonable. I'd go back on a Thursday/Friday to get a better read of the restaurant.
Drinks Taverna never disappoints. I took my friend there for her birthday and both of our dinners were delicious. The staff is very attentive and friendly.
The food never disappoints at Drinis Taverna. Their steaks are prime and dry aged and the service is always timely and professional.
Totally enjoyed our family meal - the owner/chef couldn't be nicer and more welcoming and the food was delicious. Service was great. We look forward to our next visit, which will be soon!
Was a great place. Food was great, service was great. Can’t wait to go back there again
Really enjoyable! The staff was so sweet and tended to us the minute we got there.
We had a great dining experience, from the food to the service, to the ambiance. My filet was cooked & seasoned perfectly - one of the best I've had. Meals were served with mashed potato and a vegetable medley of broccoli & carrots - all excellent. My husband had a pork chop special which he said was delicious. Appetizers and dessert were also very enjoyable. The service was great, attentive & pleasant. I definitely recommend 202 Steakhouse to anyone looking for a nice dining experience and great steak! The meal was reasonably priced & comparable to other steak restaurants in the area.
Food was excellent but drinks were very pricey. The atmosphere was very pleasant . Great ambiance.
Very attentive wait staff; steak was delicious, salads were good; bar is comfortable and spacious - we started there and ended there after dinner. A very comfortable dining experience.
We have been to the restaurant a few times and everything we've ordered has been delicious! The filet mignons were cooked perfectly! We will definitely be back!
Food was out on time and in the right order. Waiters were very polite
Been here a few times and just love it. The service is excellent and the food is outstanding.
This is our family's go to place for special occasions. The staff is friendly and always ready to help in any way they can.
Service was outstanding!!! Food was cooked to perfection:)
The food was decent, however there were too many annoying hiccups with our experience. The waiter was sweet but not attentive to details.
-service was slow
-brought bread, no butter
-put in the wrong order for our sides
-dessert the server didn't know if they had decaf or not
-mispacked our food at the end of the evening.
For the price I would rather go to a place that has the details down
Always a good meal, service is excellent.
I recently went for brunch. The wait staff was extremely attentive. The lunch type food on the buffet and the hash brown potatoes were very good but the breakfast items were terrible. The pancakes and waffles (Eggo waffles) were prepackaged frozen items that were not even cooked through - they were cold in the center. The scrambled eggs were watery with melted American cheese on top. The croissants and muffins looked like they were purchased at a wholesale club and were cut into pieces. On the positive side, bloody Mary's and mimosas were included in the price.
Food was delicious however we were disappointed how the steak was plated. It should have been put onto a clean plate and considering the prices this should not be a missed step. Also, we really wanted to have the Bananas Foster for dessert however there was no one on site who knew how to do it. Will give them another try, maybe it was a bad night.
All told, 202 Steakhouse serves good basic food at reasonable prices. Service is willing. Drinks were generous. Atmosphere was comfortable, ambience good. Steakhouse does not serve sauce bernaise or other steak sauce except bottled. I had A-1 sauce.
We took our grandsons for dinner. It's a restaurant we've been at many times with them. The food was excellent, service great. Somehow, a few of the ingredients were left out of my husband's salad, which he didn't realize until he was almost finished with it. They brought him another one which had everything in it. The booth was a bit cramped, I wouldn't recommend a booth for "large" people. All in all, it was a lovely dinner.
Celebrating my wife's birthday 🎉
It was amassing
Very very good food
Excellent service
We will definitely be back
Thank u
Went here for a birthday celebration and was somewhat disappointed. Service was rushed on a Monday evening no less....pricey for the quality of food.
Fantastic dinner on Friday night. Owner couldn't have been nicer. Very accommodating and friendly. Crab cake delicious and porterhouse for two was cooked perfectly. Nice that it came with potatoes and veggies. We added mushrooms which were also excellent. Completely recommend this gem here in the northern burbs!!
Visited on Saturday night, Memorial Day weekend. We were seated immediately, choice of banquette seating or regular table. Service was adequate, a little odd perhaps, and there was something weird about our server. Energy level was extremely low; probably due to being an off night. The food, however, was delicious. We started by sharing fried calamari, tuna tartare, and a Caesar salad . The calamari was crispy and light. The tuna tartare was minced, on avocado, served with herb toast. The Caesar was ordinary, nothing memorable. Our steaks, however, were memorable and everyone was happy. My men shared a porterhouse for 2, medium rare with no leftovers going home. I loved my petite filet mignon, cooked perfectly at medium. Steaks come with sauteed vegetables and mashed potatoes. Would like to try it again, maybe with a larger group, and bring our own energy!
Very pleasant. Wait staff attentive and didn't rush us.
The food was nice enough but the service wasn't great and a little over priced for you got.
Mother's Day
I had heard about 202 Steakhouse and it has received good reviews. We ordered two of the Porterhouse for 2 , lamb chops and a filet mignon after appetizers of raw oysters and fried calamari. Everyone enjoyed the food and we did take some of the porterhouse home. I must say that although the food was great, it is on the high side for pricing. However, we all agreed to come back soon.
We went to the Sunday brunch to celebrate Mothers Day a week early. We had 11:30 reservations and the side door was locked at 11:25. We walked to front where bar is and one gal was on phone...but no one was there to greet us and dining room was dark. At 11:35, the waitress seated us, and offered us drink. When the rest of our party arrived, we went to buffet, where most of the food was cold. The eggs, waffles, sausage, potatoes, mussels and bacon were all cold. I tried a pice of chicken, which was actually hot and good...but I wanted breakfast. The fruit was decent, but limited to watermelon and grapes croissants were not crispy type, soft and cut in half. The best part was some sliced steak that was brought out by noon. Only sweets were chocolate brownies...which were decent.
