DRIFTHOUSE by David Burke
Fresh baked pop-overs, seasonal starters and signature table-shares like the bacon clothesline and chorizo & octopus kebabs are fan faves.
Patented Salt-Aged steaks and hand-cut pastas are shore to please. Dive into a west coast oyster and enjoy a 3lb. Lobster right from our tank-to-your-table. Finish with a mouth-watering dessert, made in-house by our very own pastry chef Stuart.
We have taken our beverage program to the next level by partnering with local farms, distilleries and breweries right here on the Jersey Shore. Barrel-aged cocktails are next on the list of things to pour and our boutique wine list evolves with every sip.

Can’t beat $5 burger night, live music and ocean front table during covid times. Wait staff was accommodating.
Fun burger night menu.
Staff and food was wonderful. Highly recommend this place.
We enjoyed a great dining experience at Drift House. Our waiter/bartender was attentive and helpful. Our courses were served with enjoyable timing. The food was perfectly cooked and unique. Finally, the lemon tart I had for dessert was quite tasty. Bravo! We will be going back.
Loved the fact DB was there making the rounds. Service at this level of dining could have been better.
The restaurant is charming and the fact they had live music was wonderful. Joe and Rich were amazing. Played at a nice level where it wasn't too loud but it was nice to eat a meal and be entertained with good music. The service was a little slow. We stood at the reception area for over 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. It took almost 20 minutes to get a bottle of wine served and opened which was disappointing especially when a $23 retail bottle priced at $69. I understand mark up but that is excessive. All in all, we will definitely go back especially any time Rich and Joe are there playing. A total plus that rounds out a nice weekday night out.
Burger night was awesome and the live music was great! See you next week!
The duo playing were great but hard to hear who you are dining with.
Excellent food, great service and atmosphere
some dishes were cold. food took longer than expected. willing to give it another try
Food was great and service was very efficient
Delicious! I witnessed a customer have a mini gripe with his dish. He was offered another and it was taken off the bill. Great customer service
We loved it. Will definitely go back. Delicious food. Great service.
Food and service always excellent. Live music was great! One of my favorite places to go.
Food was superb and service was amazing. I had the Cesar salad and octopus and scallops as my main. Husband had lobster ravioli (out of this world ) and filet mignon. They even comp’d our dessert because they said we waited too long for our main (we didn’t complain or anything). Exceptional service. We were lucky that they had some live music while we were there.
It was my birthday and we wanted to attempt to eat indoors. We weren’t sure how it would turn out and apprehensive about how crowded it would be. We lucked out that it was quite empty (snow storm ) when we went coz the tables we not a far apart as we would’ve wanted it to be. It was nice to be right next to a window with an amazing view. We were lucky that we just finished as they sat a 6 person party (a bunch of friends ) as we were leaving. I would not have been comfortable to be right next to these people. The room was empty and they could’ve put this group somewhere else.
But over all we had a great time. Next time though I would go on a weekday and make it a point to mention to that when they seat us to make sure we’re socially distant. Glad we came in hungry. I wish we could go back with a huge group and try all the appetizers, they looked amazing ! Lobster ravioli 😘
The meal was sensational, our service was fabulous and the Chef even signed a menu for us!
Excellent food and our server was very attentive! The lobster mussel soup is not to be missed!
Everything thing was excellent from the time we walked in. Waitress explained everything perfectly. Food was delicious. If you haven’t been there you definitely need to go... me and my wife will be back
I went to eat on Valentines Day at 8pm. The service was good, we were sat quickly, clean table, and given attention. The food however, was not tasteful. To be honest, it tasted reheated. This food was made much earlier in the day and served to be me. I order the Surf and turf. The veggies were soggy, the veal tenderloin had no taste, and the shrimp horrible as well. For the amount I paid, which was 90 per person, was a waste of my money. The restaurant took advantage of the limited menu and precooked the food and ruined the service
Our dinners were OK but as we realize ,when you have a fix menu it’s not the same as from the house menu plus we thought the price was a bit high
Music that was being played on Valentine’s Day was more suited for 4:00 Friday Happy Hour Manager could’ve taken the extra effort to have a little bit more of a valentine flavor for the evening
My fiancé and I went for Valentine’s Day and loved it. We will definitely come back throughout the year.

As always, the food and service was amazing! Another memorable experience from Chef David Burke and his team.
It was a beautiful restaurant. Beautiful view. The food was absolutely amazing. We will be back.
Excellent location. Friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone who likes a unique menu and dining experience.
One of our favorite restaurants. Excellent Chef, everything is dellicious.
This was our first time at drifthouse, and we thought it was amazing. Great food, from appetizers to dessert. Service was also great. Would definitely go back.
Great food, great service.
Food was exceptional. Staff was superb. A great early Valentines dinner with my wife. We will go back soon!
Very covid safe--Janice was so fun & helpful, the food was wonderful as always. In todays world it is so nice to be taken care of in a comfortable setting. Looking forward to crowded noisy dining rooms!!
Well it doesn't matter how good the food is if the managmenet is poor...
Made a 7 pm reservation for burger night with live music. Arrived at 7 pm to see every table sat. We stood at the check in for maybe 5 mins, no one came to help us. We finally flagged down a server and asked if there was a hostess, she said she would get the manager. The manager (Nicholas) came and I told him I had a 7 pm reservation. He told me it would be a 20 min wait. I repeated that I had a reservation- he never asked my name or confirmed it. He told me unfortunately they were booked. I told him yes, I am one of the people who booked. He apologized and left. We stood there. STOOD THERE. He never offered us somewhere to sit or a drink or anything for 20 mins. He then came and took us to a completely closed off room in the back. BY OURSELVES. A whole room away from the music (you couldn't see or hear anything). It was like being put in a time out. When we said no this is unacceptable he claimed it was "all he had". I repeated again that I had a reservation. He said he understood but they had a lot of walk ins so they didn't have any tables left. I told him that he obviously doesn't understand the concept of a reservation. He repeated that he didn't expect so many walk ins. Then he left us in an empty room just sitting there. A server (Sarah) came over and new how unhappy we were. She was shocked to hear we had a reservation, it was now 7:35. She cleared a table for us, herself, and sat us in the main room. She brought us drinks, she got us a free appetizer. She was pleasant and lovely the entire time even though she knew how frustrated we were. She truly saved the night. Nicholas the "manager" never came back over. Never apologized. We paid full price for the meal and drinks, and tipped more than 20%, because Sarah made an effort. She acted professionally the entire night. Nicholas ran, hid, and acted like a child. Sarah for manager!
Food was amazing, cocktails were really good. Service was tentative, but nice. Would say thesis definitely worth a visit.
Overall, everything was wonderful. The apps, most of the main meals, and desserts were delicious. The only dish I wouldn't recommend is the lobster bolognese. They did a great job helping us celebrate my husband's birthday. The service was top notch.
Food was nothing special, prices were absurd. Would not go there again very disappointed. Menu was a fraction of what is displayed on line.
Service and food is great
We started the meal with a bunch of apps, the clothes pin bacon was the best! All 6 of us enjoyed are entrees. The cavatelli with wild mushrooms and short ribs was amazing! All of us got dessert! The warm chocolate cake which was prepared table side was my favorite! Thank you David Burke!
Too loud we couldn’t have a conversation!!!
I love the restaurant. Its a vibe, decor is awesome and food is tasty if not plentiful. Only complaint is that for what we are spending I think presentation and amount could be commensurate. i had the Filet Mignon and for 42$ had a small ( 8oz? ) Steak and a few strands of Parsley on the plate . Not very appealing
We love DRIFTHOUSE!! I called ahead since we have not been dining indoors and they moved our reservation to a quieter time which we were ok with. Sat by the window in the fireplace room. Cozy and quiet. They social distance the tables but we still did not want to be there. When we were leaving we could see how busy it was getting—Saturday night.
Food and drinks as usual was great. Some new additions to the menu. Eggplant app was amazing we actually had it for a side with our dinner. Branzino always a winner but was a skimpy portion for the $$$$. My husband had lamb shank and did not like it at all. Said it was maybe over cooked and tough. He said he will still with the chicken that he usually gets. But we are booked and going back !!!
Very disappointed. Bacon apps were very good, but they aways are. Crab cake with pretzel crust mundane, gnudo not very interesting. Where were the popovers?! No bread was served. Some entrees were adequate, filet mignon, salmon. Scallops and octopus were a big miss. Scallops didn't taste "dry" and octopus simply tasted of salt. Pasta dish with mushrooms and short rib was tasty. Desserts were wonderful. Cheesecake lollipops with cotton candy and the smores were fought over. Very good Bordeaux but the white was too sweet even though server said it was dry when asked. Prices charged didn't meet the quality desired. Loved the Rumson House and The Drifthouse. We believe David needs to rework some of the menu to either meet the expectations of the $ charged or lower the prices. Will return but not for awhile.
