Contemporary American
At DRIFTHOUSE by David Burke you will find our menu features American plates as a reflection of chef David Burke’s contemporary approach to cooking, with a nod to elevated local area classics.

Fresh baked pop-overs, seasonal starters and signature table-shares like the bacon clothesline and chorizo & octopus kebabs are fan faves.

Patented Salt-Aged steaks and hand-cut pastas are shore to please. Dive into a west coast oyster and enjoy a 3lb. Lobster right from our tank-to-your-table. Finish with a mouth-watering dessert, made in-house by our very own pastry chef Stuart.

We have taken our beverage program to the next level by partnering with local farms, distilleries and breweries right here on the Jersey Shore. Barrel-aged cocktails are next on the list of things to pour and our boutique wine list evolves with every sip.

DRIFTHOUSE by David Burke and the newly opened Nauti Bar at the Driftwood Cabana Club truly offers a beautiful, flavorful and memorable experience.

Great dining experience. We were given a nice table during a Saturday night for restaurant week.
Food was very good and came out in a timely manner. We loved the popovers, as well as the desserts. Wine was fairly priced. Our server was very friendly and responsive.
Would definitely return again.

Went during Restaurant Week and always appreciate the lengths Drifthouse goes to include options not listed on their JSRW website as options, including wines, and menu staples, many without upcharges. The Octopus and Scallops Veracruz was slightly disappointing, as there were only three scallops and a very small piece of octopus, although it was delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff/kitchen was accommodating for food allergies at our table, which was appreciated.

I’m sure this place is much better in the summer with the sun setting and beach feel. The food was good, but not impressive so perhaps we expected too much.

Not our best experience at this restaurant. Maybe more help was needed during Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. While we didn't come for that event and ordered off the regular menu the service was ponderously slow. Our server was extremely pleasant, but clearly had more tables than he could handle on a busy night. I suspect the same was true in the kitchen as the halibut was dry and the braised bison short rib was long on flavor but for the price one would expect a bit more on the plate. The Caesar salad was very good with the addition of kale and a delicious Parmesan frico as was the clothesline bacon.
We've been here several times and were willing to pay the premium prices for drinks and food, but this experience is making this a more doubtful dinner destination in the future.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Drifthouse, celebrating our 43rd anniversary. It was restaurant week, so that was a bonus! Another surprise was the glass of champagne our server brought to us to celebrate our special day. Looking forward to returning, will definitely have the bacon clothesline they are known for!

We are finding Drifthouse a favorite place for cocktails at the bar or the dining room for an everything delicious dinner experience. Janice is an attentive, helpful and experienced member of the wait staff. Her suggestions and timing are spot on! Ty, at the bar mixes up quite a fabulous Blantons bourbon old fashion among other things!
Every bite is worth every nickel!!!
A mention of Rich, who greets us at the entrance-always smiling and gracious!

Went during restaurant week. Plenty of good choices and reasonable portions. Excellent food and a very, very fair value. All of our group enjoyed every course. Great salads, and soup. Good wait staff. Entrees were awesome. If I had to pick one item that wasn't perfect, it was that the "Old Fashioned" was a bit weak, and needed more bourbon. Overall a great choice and we will return soon!

Love the place. Nice atmosphere, great service. Loved hearty soup as well as roasted beet salad with goat cheese. Branzini was exceptional with crusty skin. Definitely my go-to again. The filet mignonette was perfection. And dessert was amazing. My husband loved the new Cabernet Sauvignon offered by the glass.

We enjoyed the food tremendously and appreciate that the portions were not reduced, due to it being Restaurant Week. Some places do that. Also loved the "special" pricing on other things such as the Old Fashioned which was amazing and the wines priced at $33...we had the Cabernet. Brittany was our waitress and she was very accommodating. We understand this will be offered throughout the month of November so we plan on coming again this month!!!!

Wanted to try the Drifthouse for a while now so we opted to go there for the Jersey Shore Restaurant week.

Was not disappointed . The food was excellent service staff nice and friendly and attentive. Would recommend any time for a really nice meal. Only downside was it is a bit noisy, so not a perfect conversation atmosphere, but nowadays what restaurant is not noisy...

My expectations were met and beyond!! It was a girls get together and what is better then a brunch. We first were met with a friendly smile by the hostess. Our waitress was attentive but also knew we needed our time to savor our food and of course have time to chat. The food was flavorful, fresh and beautiful plating. The General Manager greeted us as soon as we sat down since it was a special occasion. He was very welcoming and helped to make our get together special. The brunch was a great value at $29 with wonderful choices. I cant wait to return with family and friends.

Way overpriced for quality and quantity of food. Waitress not very attentive, did not seem to know menu. Never checked on table to see how things were. Missing a napkin, ask several servers including ours, never got one from them so we just took from empty table.

Dining with four. Asked about several appetizers to share. Asked about lobster dumplings. Told there were only 3, response was well just order 2 servings. Well then we have 2 extra... So we instead ordered the octopus and chorizo. Do you think the waitress would have said oh those only come with 3 also. Nope. Buratta and asparagus was tasty appetizer, but portion was minute.

Veal filet mignon Oscar was not what I expected, since I assumed a thicker cut and juicy. It was flat, overcooked and not tasty. Perhaps I should have asked... Not used to a flat filet mignon. My wife’s Halibut was ok, but also not very tasty. Sons steak was good, cooked correctly but over seasoned.

Drinks were pricy, but we new that before we ordered. Taste was fair. The cosmos my wife and daughter in law had were mostly lime juice.

Was a bit noisier than expected, but tolerable. There was a big table near us and they were celebrating a birthday. They parked a large table with 6 orders of dripping clothesline bacon right next to us, so we presented grease drippings over pickles. I am sure it tasted great, but visually not appetizing. Over production just to justify $19 dollars for 3 pieces of bacon...

I am used to fine dining and creative experience, but would not personally rush to go back.

We started with the lobster dumplings which were bland and unremarkable. The Kale Ceasar was tasty.
The steak was ok but not worth $60. The Halibut was dry and flavorles. Bison short ribs were good. All in all we spent a lot of money for a less than average meal.

food/value
the first waiter delivered burnt popovers. I called the waitress over, she replaced with less burnt popovers.
I've had branzini in many places. Your portion was tiny, presentation poor, 3 pieces of artichoke were like
3 potato chips, just very poor. I ordered brussel sprouts. They were raw and hard in middle and burnt outside. We had to send back also, but by the time the substitute dish arrived, we were almost finished.
I won't be back .

Although the restaurant was not busy, we waited a long time to give our cocktail order. The cucumber cocktail with gin was very good. Don't understand why there isn't any Bordeaux given that steak is a major feature. The Cabernet that was recommended was plain and uninteresting. The lobster dumplings had no flavor. Our party wasn't convinced that the cowgirl steaks were actually prime. Two guests had the veal dish which they enjoyed. The creamed spinach was not creamed, simply sauteed. The fries were pedestrian, we ordered onions and mushrooms and got broccoli instead, without any explanation. The toasted coconut cake was very good and the "lollipops" with cotton candy were fun. We had to wait a long time to get our check. For approximately $150 per person, we were quite disappointed. We loved the Fromagerie, but this venture is not up to the previous standards of Mr. Burke.

Loved the artichoke salad with a light dressing. Pasta of the night - pork Bolognese sauce - was great. Guest loved the halibut and did like having lots of veggies with it. The bacon is a bit of a gimmick - tasty but we like our bacon crisp. Third guest is a long time Peter Lugar fan and was not impressed with the cowgirl steak. Loved the side of spinach with mushrooms. We split dessert but we should passed on it.
