DRIFTHOUSE by David Burke
Fresh baked pop-overs, seasonal starters and signature table-shares like the bacon clothesline and chorizo & octopus kebabs are fan faves.
Patented Salt-Aged steaks and hand-cut pastas are shore to please. Dive into a west coast oyster and enjoy a 3lb. Lobster right from our tank-to-your-table. Finish with a mouth-watering dessert, made in-house by our very own pastry chef Stuart.
We have taken our beverage program to the next level by partnering with local farms, distilleries and breweries right here on the Jersey Shore. Barrel-aged cocktails are next on the list of things to pour and our boutique wine list evolves with every sip.
DRIFTHOUSE by David Burke and the newly opened Nauti Bar at the Driftwood Cabana Club truly offers a beautiful, flavorful and memorable experience.

New Year’s Eve
I have two teen boys and for the three of us to agree about a great restaurant and look forward to dining there again and again until it creates family memories is everything. Creative, delicious food, excellent ambiance inside and out, fabulous servers...and spotting Chef David Burke? Priceless.
we had a 615pm reservation on Christmas Day and finally got some water around 650pm (which we had to ask for) and our salads around 830pm. Our waitress and what seemed like every other employee working were either too busy or unorganized or both. The only good part of our visit was the friendliness and professionalism of our waitress Sarah and the great flavor of the food. But to be completely honest I was very disappointed to have our service take so long. It was beyond obvious that our service took over 3 hours yet there was no attempt to take anything off the bill for our inconvenience. We wanted to order the dumplings but were told after placing the order that the kitchen was out. I wanted to order the lobster but after ordering were told the kitchen was out. We wanted the filet but after ordering was told the kitchen was out. When we were finally able to place a drink order they took forever to come from the bar yet tables around us that were sat after already had at least water to drink. Other tables were getting bread yet we got nothing. The manager never came to our table and the staff were obviously short handed. Through the entire night we were understanding and sympathized for the waitress who we felt did not personally deserve for her tip to be shorted due to the complete failure of the restaurant so even though we received no relief on our $450+ total bill we still left a proper generous tip and felt terrible that was how she was spending her Christmas. It was an embarrassing visit on a special day that we had a elderly family member with us. My wife and I have been there multiple times and always have complimented the great food on social media to promote the restaurant. Unfortunately we will not be rushing back anytime soon.
We had 6pm reservations we were not seated till 6:20, got to the table proceeded to wait until 6:40 for anyone to come over. Finally!!! The waiter took our drink orders and we then waited for another 30 minutes... Came back with my drink order not even being put in. Our food order was not taken till 7:40pm ...No bread was brought to the table, no ask if we wanted another drink etc. we then waited for food for another 40 minutes. When we finally got our food & my daughters fish was so undercooked she had to send it back. I asked for my steak cooked a certain way it was brought to me not to my specifications. Not what we expected.
Nice people but something was off Christmas Eve. Way more than 25% of people in one room; they ran out of standard items and we were the 5pm reservation - they open at 4 I think - no filet mignon or the wine of our choice. We were presented with Prime Rib as a substitute - only one member of our party was informed of the substitution. The prime rib was so rare and chewy - the duck was overcooked and tasteless. Appetizers were 'just ok'; desserts were very good. Overall very pricey. To be fair to the restaurant we didn't say anything because it was Christmas and the staff was working hard but when I got the link to review the restaurant I thought I would respond.
This was a prefixed meal with choices if appetizers, main meal and dessert. Good value if you like a special meal. The duck breast with pickled pear was outstanding and a large portion.
Great Holiday dinner by a roaring fire.
That was our first visit to the Driftwood in over 25 years. We had our weeding reception there and we were pleasantly surprised that the place didn’t change much. We both had a very good experience..We will be sure to return sooner then 25 years. Thank you.
Festive ambience, excellent artichokes (and burgers), and astonishing service. Our server, Jen, began her extraordinary service by guiding us through the wine choice and concluding with her suggestion for a spectacular dessert.
Five stars all around.
KC was awesome!
Excellent Food very highly recommended
Our server was exceptional. While busy, she handled all so calmly and yet was always attentive, and still provided the time between courses to enjoy. The evening was dark, and thus no views that we typically enjoy, and the evening was cold, so it was indoor dining. The separation of tables was more than adequate to insure comfort and safety. It was awesome that Sushi was added to the menu, and the "French Cake" as it is called was certainly over the top. We also had vodka rigatoni. Yes, it was delicious, though the portion was disappointing. It's pasta. Fill the dish! Overall, we were very satisfied, and the minimal comments should not give you any second guess to coming in to enjoy this establishment. In the overall, David Burke's at Driftwood is amongst the best.
David and his team never disappoint. The popovers get me every time!!
We were not happy with our dining experience.
Any David Burke establishment never disappoints ... food was amazing staff is always over the top and treats you VIP. Highly Recommended. I have the filet mignon and it was perfect.
Food was amazing and our waitress was fabulous. Highly recommend.
Meal was fantastic , service phenomenal!! I’ll be back!!
It was a very nice evening for our 35th anniversary in the middle of a nasty storm. The guitar player was the perfect addition & our server Jess was top notch!!
David Burke's DRIFTHOUSE was nothing short of what we would expect following David's cuisine for years around Manhattan. We were elated that he opened a few restaurants in our home state of NJ and couldn't wait to try. All around the restaurant was exceptional from drinks to dessert. All courses were cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Staff was very friendly and ambiance was terrific. Overall, I put this restaurant up there as one of the best in NJ and can't wait to go back with family and friends.
Clothesline Bacon always a favorite. Tomahawk porkchop special was delicious. Sushi, specifically yellowtail, was not as fresh as in the past. Still a fav spot.
As usual a delicious meal. Great choices for the Thanksgiving meals. Brought my in-laws with us, it was their first time, and they enjoyed it.
Were there for Thanksgiving. The holiday menu was great - from traditional turkey with all of the fixings to fish, shellfish, beef and pork. Enough to satisfy everyone. All of the dinners met our expectations for a David Burke restaurant. Our server was attentive and the meal was not rushed. Overall an excellent holiday experience .
Food and service was fantastic!
Expensive but worth every penny. Best upscale dining in the area!!
Wanted a quiet date night and Drifthouse delivered. Food was very good although a little high priced but that was expected. Drinks were excellent. Staff was very friendly. Brittney was the bartender, it was her second night, she was friendly and hope to see her again next time we go back. Fun, relaxed night that was exactly what we were looking for. Delivered on all points.
A real treat
Drifthouse by David Burke, exceeded all of our expectations. The space is inviting , warm, and well staffed. All of the food was of the highest quality .
I strongly recommend .
ambience and service was outstanding, the food was average at best and was extremely disappointed considering all the "david burke" hype. would not reccomend
This spot is definitely worth a trip. Location and views are great, menu is inventive, ambience is very nice.
We sat in the fireplace room before dinner and enjoyed a cocktail in front of the fire.
SUPPORT OUR LOCAL RESTAURANTS!
Host and wait staff were phenomenal. Friendly and attentive, and clearly professionals in their field. The ambiance was nice, with a big open space and high ceilings. Chairs were very comfortable and dining room was well appointed. Cocktails were inventive and poured perfectly, they were well balanced. The lychee gimlet was delicious.
My major qualms were unfortunately with the food. The popovers came out cold with frozen solid butter (cold popovers are gross, they’re meant to be warm) and the menu wasn’t as descriptive as the dishes that were provided, often leaving me unable to eat some of the items (eg, there is chipotle aioli in the fritto misto that is not listed on the menu, there is vinegar and salt on the watercress that is served with the steaks, the onion and Gorgonzola topping for the steak is not a topping, but rather a side ramekin with Gorgonzola flavored butter and imperceptible onions). The menu is very limiting to begin with for anyone with a sensitivity to spice, and words like “hostile” and “angry” are used to describe dishes in a very off-putting manner.
Our waitress was amazingly accommodating and said she could see what could be made non-spicy, but I erred on the side of caution and ordered things that were not explicitly described as spicy. And I highly don’t recommend getting the fries. They’re thick and greasy and undercooked.
The star of the dinner was the creme brûlée. It truly was a masterpiece and I would come back for an after dinner drink and creme brûlée, but not a whole meal.
Food was interesting and innovative.
Brandi no was amazing but price was a bit high for what we got.
I understand that pandemic might something to do with it but I will think twice before I would go again for casual dining
Sat outside gorgeous weather, wonderful experience, got to meet DB himself!
Wonderful food and service!
Enjoyed the meal. Especially loved the dessert, Cheese Cake Lollypops. Must be a signature David Burke dessert which we had for the second time. Appetizers were really good, Tuna Tartare Tacos and Pretzel Crab Cakes. Shared Lobster Bolognese as a main course. Very tasty. Tables were nicely spaced. Our server Casey was really nice and friendly.
The Food was amazing! Four of us each having a different meal and everything done to perfection. Excellent diverse menu, something for everyone. Service however was terrible, waiter never to be found, slow on everything, and seemed like they really did not care. We also requested outside dining and all of their heaters ran out of gas. This was a busy Saturday night, you may have thought they would have checked or had a backup. Overall no thought to the customer. But again food was magnificent!
Amazing food and atmosphere. Felt safe during COVID as the tables were spread out.
First and foremost, the waiter was fantastic. Very attentive and never had to hunt him down. We ordered the clothesline bacon, first round she tried to blow torch it and knocked it over onto one of us, then hit the floor. Second round the same girl (not our waiter), tried to blow torch it again abd knocked it into herself. They were served and still cold. Truffle fries were fantastic 👏 as were the disco fries. The skirt steak was "ok", spaghetti carbonara was cold and the pasta on top was hard and crunchy--it was hard to get pass. Cavatelli and short ribs were also on the cold side, but tasted ok. Desserts were pretty good, had the cheesecake pops that the kids liked, one of us had the cookie with a gooey chocolate center and someone had a cake with mango--light and refreshing. For the price I was expecting "the best", wasn't very impressed.
Love this place! Gourmet food and presentation and attentive wait and bar staff!
